      It's the same mentality that believes that all you need to succeed is to work hard. My experience is that you have to be tall, charismatic, and physically attractive with hard work taking a distant fourth place. When layoffs occur, the pretty people usually survive regardless of competence because they "look" successful.

    People seem to agree that caffeine works as a nootropic, however, I have a very hard time getting things done if I'm on caffeine. I can get over-excited, start shaking, get insomnia, etc. even with small doses... The only one that I've noticed that works time and time again is green tea, apparently it's from the L-Theanine, black tea doesn't, has the same effects of caffeine to me. With L-theanine though the effect isn't THAT significant. With that said, nothing has worked as well as having a good place to sleep and a good sleeping routine though. It's the ceremony that if done right, makes my day so much better!

      Caffeine is a stimulant not a nootropic there is a difference ts like Adderal or Modafinil but modafinil is eugeroic but seems to act as a cognitive enchancer too nicotine also is stimulant , best definition of nootropic are racetams and Dementia drugs that promote working memory and cognition without side effects

      Can you explain why you think those three things are unrealistic? Sure, going to bed early is hard if you're addicted to your smartphone, but it's not unrealistic. And being properly hydrated is super easy, just have a bottle of water close to you when you work, and drink a glass of water when you wake up, eat or are about to go out. Simple and cheap. Now nutrition. That's the only one that's tricky if you're low on cash, but the solution is home cooked food. I'm a poor student, but I eat 3-5 healthy meals a day and spend no more than 150 bucks a month on groceries.

    The advice given that getting adequate sleep, nutrition, lowering stress are all good. Sometimes it's more difficult to get than a nootropic.
    In my career, sometimes, I have to work for 12 - 18 hours straight. No breaks or I risk losing my data stream. If that happened, I would lose all of the previous hours of work which would cause me to fail in meeting my deadline.
    I have used different nootropics for many years before they were called nootropics. I have to cycle them as the brain & body adjusts, making them less effective.
    I use different workout supplements if I only need a short term boost.
    It's also important to cycle off of the nootropics for 30 days several times yearly, to give your system a break.

    Those doctors are on the side of the pharma companies so I, as a person, would not believe everything what those doctors say. Nootropics like Bacopa Monnieri are just growing everywhere in India, so there is no possible way for a company to get a patent on it. This means that pharma companies can never be the owner of Bacopa and they cant sell it.
    Doctors know this very well ofcourse, they have to protect the pharma companies, besides protecting these companies they also have to support them. No one in the medicine world wants you to take nootropics. Why? Because there is no money in this business.

    • @uberedblackwolf4438
      @uberedblackwolf4438 Год назад

      I've tried supplements or nootropics that include Bacopa Monnieri and yes they work, ,and you're not wrong about the patent on selling stuff.
      But saying these doctors know full well is giving them way too much credit, as they're trained in performing speific niches, rarely require any nutrient training, which also isn't that great in the states, as most nutrient books are paid for with industry, ike milk or egg
      it's kinda like
      a superior-complex, that they develop, as they just paid all this money and time to learn niches, they assume other areas of study will be how they think, because they're educated, but not in this niche
      kinda like how a mechanic, knows how to fix cars, but you wouldn't ask him to work on your house,
      or just regulations in general, a regulation in on state is different than a regulation in another state, as some are more lobbied than others
      Also I'm curious what the SRAMS equivalent is, in the area of Noootropics

    Yes, above average intelligent people with higher serotonin and stable dopamine, etc. that have good fortune of more life success, better food and exercise already have an optimized brain and gut health already thus Nootropics is not necessary, not needed.
    More and better sleep quality with lower stress that includes consistent exercise is something many people that have less resources cannot change just flipping a switch to change all these factors like the successful television personalities in this video can do with their privileged lifestyle. This does not mean some people cannot, it means many people have a variety of constraints in their life that don’t allow them to just suddenly make all those change benefits. So yes, if you are already highly successful and feeling great, don’t bother with Nootropics. You are already on top of the world without it.

    • @anthonystanley3853
      @anthonystanley3853 2 года назад

      @@evinliu1740 You created a straw man argument by speaking on a subject you probably have studied very little. Ginseng, Caffeine, Cinnamon and Ginger are some of the traditional Chinese medicines that were used for thousands of years, considered nootropics now for their effects on improving cognition by calming anxiety, improving circulation, improving gut health and improving focus. Most Nootropics that have come since the 1950’s have been from studies and experimental testing of Dementia and Alzheimer’s drugs that showed improvements but weren’t strong enough by themselves to be patentable drugs (probably cause they can’t kill someone at mediocre use). Studies that were done using double blind placebo tests. The gold standard for testing. Nootropics is not just taking a drug and being smarter. Whoever told you that wants to divert from the truth. Being into Nootropics is a lifestyle of making healthy choices, improving body function and your mental health. But yeah. Tell me how coffee and tea (both considered Nootropics) are a placebo effect? Or how Ashwaganda helps so many people with stress and anxiety? Is Tylenol and Aleve a placebo? Is opioids a placebo? I mean all of these drugs have been studied extensively and all shown to have effects. Yet two are nootropics and pain relievers kill people.

      @@evinliu1740 I know what a straw man fallacy is. Your first comment was a straw man fallacy 😂. You obviously didn’t read my comment because I specifically said Nootropics aren’t drugs that make you smarter. No one who takes Nootropics will ever tell you that. What I am arguing is your weird initial take on Nootropics. It’s not only false, you also have never looked up any scientific studies done on Nootropics. It’s completely just your opinion and you have no facts to back up your claim.
      Your initial argument is as factual as me saying that putting a piece of ice in a drink doesn’t make it colder, it’s just placebo, you think it’s getting colder but I’m smarter than that and know that ice in fact does not cause the cooling of liquids when placed inside the liquid. 🤡
