FULL RECIPE
For filling:
1/2 Cup (125ml) Vegetable/Cooking oil
1 Medium white onion (Finely chopped)
1 Cup (225g) White sugar
1/2 Tsp Salt
1/2 Cup (125ml) Full cream/Fresh Milk
2 and 1/2 Cups (300g) All-purpose flour
First Dough:
2 and 1/4 Cups (270g) All-purpose flour
1/2 Tsp Salt
1/2 Cup (125ml) Vegetable oil or Pork fat
1/2 Cup (125ml) Water
Second Dough:
1 and 3/4 Cup (210g) All-purpose flour
1/2 Cup (115g) White sugar
3/4 Cup (170g) Butter (Softened)
Egg wash:
1 Egg yolk
1 tsp milk

In my understanding , HOPIA , favorite of Pilipinos is the ONLY SNACK MADE TO DECEIVE . Madaya talaga . The only pork involved here is the pork LARD used in making the dough.
Try using candied KUNDOL for filling chopped small. The tecture is like pork fat.

Sorry i didn't have pork oil that very moment and i had to use vegetable oil instead, but i clearly type pork fat in the first dough... please see the video again. thanks

Better yet say classic hopia sana, kasi wala naman nahalo na karne ng baboy. Just saying
Oo nga eh... Pork lard na nga lng d ko pa nilagay. takot po kc ako sa taba ng pork... wala nman tlagang pork meat involve kundi flavoring lng po ng pork... but the taste doesn't have any difference promise, khit na hindi Lard ang gamitin.
