    “in proper technique we start to do it not only here where your chest register ends, we do it all the time”.
    I spent a year looking for this, nobody ever talked about this very important fact, that you don’t need to sing in your pure chest voice and then work on transition notes to switch to mixed voice. It never worked for me, I tried a lot and I tried hard, and it made my vocal trainings miserable, cause I couldn’t stop but wonder that I kept doing something completely wrong.
    Thank you a lot for sharing this!

    I can sing high, I just always go into my head voice. Which, isn’t a problem because I have a very powerful head voice, I just want to be able to sing good in my chest voice high too, and be able to go high in both

    Thank you for making these vids.
    It’s helpful.
    Been trying to figure out how some singers seemingly hit high notes in chest when I feel I have to use head voice but it’s still powerful/not airy.
    Also the high notes in this video were in my chest still so it didn’t get to those high notes to where I question if I’m using chest voice.

    Thank you so much for this lesson. I have been struggling for a couple years trying to crack the code of belting in a higher chest voice with the ideal amount of head voice mixed in. Your explanation of how to engage the solar plexus and create pressure beneath the vocal cords solved my problem.

    I watched this video because I need to prepare for my musical and I NEED to learn to belt. I have a voice that starts in chest voice, but as I get to my transition, it flips to falsetto or head voice, I don't really know. But watching this video really helped and I can kinda belt high (ish) notes without feeling much strain, but sometimes my voice cracks at the high notes. Is there a way to help that? Do I need more practice or am I singing wrong?

      Keep using the baby, crying, whiny voice. Don’t push it. Think of it as going forward, not the note going up.

    Hello!
    First, thank you for putting out these cool videos. For now my main focus is classical singing which is all fun and I like the feeling I get when performing chamber music for example. But I also enjoy expanding in other directions. It is a miracle that we can create so much expressiveness by using our voices alone as an instrument to play.
    My question is rather scientific. Does SOVT exercises help with belting?
    Keep up with your amazing videos.
    Much love!
    Eliza

    • @MeladaVocals
      @MeladaVocals  Год назад +1

      Hello! I`m happy that it was helpful! SOVT are very good to warm up, to learn to sing more consistent, without kicks... there are teachers who also use it for belting, but I don`t, for me it can lead to straining, so I prefer to belt on open loud sounds, but also there are some preparation exercises before you start that big loud projection. You can watch my video on belting here ruclips.net/video/KWUyn8ySNGs/видео.html

    will you stop feeling the chest vibrations when going towards the high notes? (does this still mean chest voice or no?)

    • @MeladaVocals
      @MeladaVocals  Год назад

      chest voice or head voice is something very simple to explain singing concept and not very accurate. You`re correct - feelings of sound vibrations will change the higher you go, and there will be a zone of "mix voice" and mixed feelings=)

    • @MeladaVocals
      @MeladaVocals  6 месяцев назад

      It’s not in your belly, it’s core muscles, especially upper abdominal, also small muscles that lifts your ribs, and big chest muscles. The sensation could be small or high depending on sound you make
