Thank you very much! I was able to reach my whistle register without squeezing it or hurting myself, it just happened so naturally! Now I just need to practice to feel confident in this sound. I’m so glad I found your video!
Hey Tina! Thank you so much for the video! I have always wanted to learn how to sing higher than my mezzo/alto range. I don't own a piano unfortunately, but is there a video where it's only the warm-ups to sing high? I would like to practice singing high everyday to see results. Thank you!
❤🎶🎵💕thank you! You are a fantastic vocal teacher. I appreciate this and your other videos because as an alto, higher pitch are really an weakness in my skills and very challenging for me.
Your videos are very good, you have improved a lot in the quality of your videos, and your exercises are very good, I saw that you focus on recording for more experienced singers, so your videos are good for your target audience. Your exercises have helped me ❤️
Tina, thank you for this video. I think it does help me. I’m a female , 72 years old, and have always liked to sing, but no voice lessons. When I was 40 I had half my thyroid out. I think it damaged my vocal cords, as there are now spots in my vocal range that when I hit it, even though I feel I should be able to hit it, just no sound at all comes out. It does get a little better with theses exercises but not completely. My question is, do you feel I will ever get my range of voice back after all these years? I love your videos. So helpful. Wish you had been around when I was young and had a voice. You will get a lot of followers as people find you.
Hello! Thanks for sharing with me your story. I do think you can get your range back after all these years. Stretching in general is great for all activities, therefore it is helpful for vocal cord muscles too. You don't need fancy vocal exercises to make this happen. The key is committing for a long period of doing these exercises without giving up...it will take a long time to get back what used to be, but if you can work on stretching your vocal cords daily for more than a few months, and not rush the process, it's definitely possible!
Hey, I know your comment is from 2 years back but I wanted to let you know I also had a pretty extensive vocal injury, and have been able to get back to where I was before it. I had lost maybe 1/3 of my whole range, I'm glad I did not give up because anything is possible with the right approach. I hope that gives you hope!
Hi, Tina! Thanks for the awesome video! What should I do at a point when I just can't reach the highest notes anymore? The notes at 4:35 are my limit and you just keep going hah. Should I push it even when my voice starts to crack or should I stay in my comfort zone until... something happens? I suppose. Thanks for the advice!
Hello! This is what I would do, I would go back down a few keys and slowly work my way up at first. Then, I would continue to keep going, even if I don't make any sound, because what I'm telling my vocal cords to do is that eventually it needs to strengthen up and close more firmly in the future. I don't want to push more air to "make sound" just keep doing the slide, even if no sound comes or if you crack, it's okay. It doesn't need to sound pretty. The challenge is making sure we don't tighten up at all or shove air out in the attempt to create the vibration. I hope that makes sense. I just keep going up and if I don't reach those top notes at all for today, I take a break and try again tomorrow, and then again the next day, and eventually sound will happen!
God! Such a video! accuracy, sapiency , all the time you are accompaning the student; the video I- opera student ( baroque) was looking for...thank you teacher❤❤

Merci❤
Love from india 🇮🇳💜
Wow
You're so awesome!
It would be great if you did a 20 minute one to practice by without the talking. Thank you!

Shes basically saying alternatives if you don't want to do it daily, daily is recommended but the minimum is 3 days, so i hoped this helped
Hi Tina mam, you are beautiful 😻
❤❤❤❤
im probably using the wrong muscles cuz i feel tightness
Yeah...don't want tightness to happen! Practice small, start with just a few and build from there.
Nice but you talk a lot
You literally don't need to watch it if it bugs you so much. bye
