First time I’ve seen it in that camo pattern. Very cool!

I just bought one at Walmart in , yes, 6.5 Creedmoor. I went there to buy a Savage 110 but changed my mind when I compared the two. Both about the same price with scopes. The Cascade has a Kobus 3x9x40, the Savage had a 3x9x40 Vortec Crossfire. I realized both scopes are not high end optics. Shot it today, 64 yards is what we have on our little range. After a few rounds to find zero this CVA Cascade just ate up the center bull. I didn't adjust the adjustable trigger, it felt pretty good the way it was. Shot Hornady match ammo. Got this rifle for $593 with the scope and I could not be more pleased with the gun.

“Just a Crimson Trace scope”. This has become one of my favorite scopes. Got a Hardline and Hardline Pro 3-12x and a Brushline 3-9x (for a 10/22). Looking at the Hardline, it’s dimensionally the same as a Nikon M-Tactical 3-12x but has better ergonomics and glass. Almost like you’d have expected Nikon to have evolved from the time they quit making scopes. I always wondered why someone didn’t pick up their designs and machinery in the Philippines and I’m thinking I may have found them. I loved looking through Nikon scopes and that love went to the discontinued Leupold VX-2 and now to Crimson Trace. Without all the latest buzz-features but a joy to look through. Very important to me. For some reason I just don’t get along with Vortex and Primary Arms, everyone’s mid-range favorite. Nice to have choices.
Ps, nice review of the rifle. I’m thinking I might get one, the 18” barreled one so I can suppress without it being a mile long.

I have the Cascade in .223. Shoots great but has feeding issues. Have you noticed any issues when bolting in rounds?

I got this in 300PRC. I like it but the action is more of a zipper than a polished bolt action clunk. Everything is tight and nice though.

@@jamund7291 no it’s not bad it is good for white tail and antelope and hogs /coyotes if you want a white tail gun 30-06 or .308 or .270 if you want a large game gun get 28 nosler or .300 win mag or even 30-06 the best all around caliber is 30-06 for medium to large sized game
