So actually the Metal Gear Solid "tickling" censorship in Japan actually had a kinda cool lore reason for doing it. Solid Snake would be trained to resist pain, but not something like tickling. As dumb as this sounds, unconventional ways of torture have been used all around the world a lot more often than you'd think throughout history. Water torture? Sleep deprivation? Annoying sounds blasting in your ears? Cold and heat? Tickling is not far off from these. Still it was done for censorship to remain legal. Plain and simple. But at least they added an plausible spin to it. Also, if I understand correctly, *all* of Fallout's drugs had real life names that were changed to prevent censorship in certain countries. Mentats were amphetamine, jet was PCP, Psycho was coke ect.
One I expected to see on the list was Battlefield 4. China banned it for “discrediting China's image abroad and distorting the truth in an effort to mislead young people”, because of the campaign storyline
There are lots of people who hate on Shadow the Hedgehog for him being "too edgy" and for the game not being a traditional Sonic game, and it's one of the first Sonic games to be rated a PEGI 12 in Europe and the UK. But I would've loved it more if it hadn't been censored as much as it is. Just my opinion. As in, in the TV shows and as hinted in previous video games, Shadow had a tragic backstory. And the cussing and extra violence would have helped us players see a bit further into his head, and it would be been more accurate in displaying his (spoiler alert) confusion and grief regarding his lost memories and his late wife.

I remember buying the first manhunt game on the ps2 but after a year the game was banned in Australia for its excessive violence and manhunt 2 wasn’t even submitted for release in Australia so we didn’t even get that
Hey Be Amazed, next video on banned & censored video games, you should add the trivia that in the Japanese version of the Super Bomberman R series, Karaoke Bomber in Japan was called, Sexy Bomber!
Love your voice I'm glad you are back!! With the Mario Kart from SNES the characters are adults so makes sense if they drink alcohol 😅 Some are vídeo games with senseless violence like Postal or Carmaggedon at least in Mortal Kombat one fights for their lives
I find the concept of the game quite funny, although I've never played it before. What these sorts of games needs is a warning for everyone to read as the game boots up that the game contains offensive content and is not supposed to be played by kids. same with Carmageddon. That would've saved the games from some controversy and hate I think.
There is still a kind of 'gambling' in a later Poke'mon game. In Mystery Dungeon, you can build a 'prize palace' that lets you buy scratch tickets and 'random' tickets.
6:16 - as a former game tester, I can assure you there is still at least 1 copy of the original game out there somewhere, either on a burned CD or on a USB Drive.
“Mario Rampage” was an online flash game that got banned because it had Mario running around shooting enemies with a shotgun. And yes: goombas exploded and every enemy let loose a spray of blood when shot
12:54 The restriction on alcohol in video games wasn't limited to Nintendo of America; the North American release of Breath of Fire 4 on the Playstation saw Scias being similarly censored, hiding his drinking habit by replacing the hiccups in his dialogue with a stutter.
Postal and Carmageddon. Classics. I do have to admit that Postal 2 and Carmageddon II (Carpocalypse Now) are much better than the first games. I remember hearing more the outcry with Carmageddon II about running over animals and the sounds they made from doing so.
I think the laughing is more creepy and disturbing than screaming would have been 😲 Carmageddon was an amazing game, I remember when it game out. There were patches available online to put the humans back into the game and they released the "Splat Pack" 5 months after the game came out
In the original C&C, a player could run over troupes in a tank with a "splat" sound. In the German version, however, the sound was a "crunch" because the "troupes" were robots.
Here’s a weird version of censorship: Crash Bandicoot 2 on the PlayStation. The Japanese version of the game was censored for a rather morbid reason. In the levels Snow Go, Snow Biz, and Cold Hard Crash, there are crushers that try to flatten you into the ground, and if successful, Crash will be left with only his head and shoes waddling around. While pretty funny, the death was changed to be completely flattened in the Japanese version because it resembled the severed head and shoes left behind by a Japanese serial killer that was on the loose in the 90’s.
"Hatred" weren't legal to release on any console, so it stayed PC exclusive forever.

Please don't AI generate your thumbnails. It looks bad. 😣
Update:
Thank you. 😌
Hey Be Amazed, next video on banned & censored video games, you should add the trivia that in the Japanese version of the Super Bomberman R series, Karaoke Bomber in Japan was called, Sexy Bomber!
2:00 AYO SQUIDY 💀
I Loved this bit 11:40 it sounds like someone shaking a small Groan Tube Noise Maker. I miss them toys
Well if Postal is Dark. Don't forget Fallout gives you a chance of Nuking one of its towns right at the start of the game!
And nuking Megaton isn't censored in germany. Classic
Love your voice I'm glad you are back!! With the Mario Kart from SNES the characters are adults so makes sense if they drink alcohol 😅
Some are vídeo games with senseless violence like Postal or Carmaggedon at least in Mortal Kombat one fights for their lives
Postal 2 DESERVED to be banned.
I find the concept of the game quite funny, although I've never played it before. What these sorts of games needs is a warning for everyone to read as the game boots up that the game contains offensive content and is not supposed to be played by kids. same with Carmageddon. That would've saved the games from some controversy and hate I think.
No. that was Postal 3. awful game that even RWS disavowed. Postal 2 was funny as fuck
Postal 2 is a great game why do you hate it?
There is still a kind of 'gambling' in a later Poke'mon game. In Mystery Dungeon, you can build a 'prize palace' that lets you buy scratch tickets and 'random' tickets.
Lol

Imagine Bowser toppling off the podium!

I loved playing the first 2 games of Carmageddon back in the day. Was one of my favorite games of all time.
What is this new timing? I'm used to stay awake at night... Anyways any beamazed content i'll take it
OH NAH BE AMAZED WHAT HAPPENED TO THE THUBNAIL!!!!!!!
6:16 - as a former game tester, I can assure you there is still at least 1 copy of the original game out there somewhere, either on a burned CD or on a USB Drive.
Thanks for the upload!

Brahman is also the name of a breed of cow, one that is specifically an indicus breed. As opposed to a taurine cow.
“Mario Rampage” was an online flash game that got banned because it had Mario running around shooting enemies with a shotgun. And yes: goombas exploded and every enemy let loose a spray of blood when shot
“Mario has been a very naughty boy.”
Dr. Mario is Mario dressed as a doctor, doing his medical duties!
I knew it!! Never trust Dr. Mario anymore!!
Kinda like how Cloud Strife is dressed as a member of SOLDIER and pretending to be a good character.
17:38 I played the original UNCENSORED 'Carmageddon' PC game, and I played the newer console version, both great fun games
I love your channel :)
21:48 Is more probable to find Aron near railroads, cause it need to eat metal to grow.
12:54 The restriction on alcohol in video games wasn't limited to Nintendo of America; the North American release of Breath of Fire 4 on the Playstation saw Scias being similarly censored, hiding his drinking habit by replacing the hiccups in his dialogue with a stutter.
13:15
And maybe the concept of delivering an anesthetic by a mallet to the head!
I was NEVER expecting you to talk about half life
Postal and Carmageddon. Classics. I do have to admit that Postal 2 and Carmageddon II (Carpocalypse Now) are much better than the first games. I remember hearing more the outcry with Carmageddon II about running over animals and the sounds they made from doing so.
1:35 I genuinely laughed at this😭
But isn't being compared to a lovable and friendly character like Pooh a compliment?
When I was a kid (all the way to my 14), I played games like GTA 3, GTA Vice City, Duke Nukem 3D and Wolfenstein Return to Castle and Enemy Territory
I think the laughing is more creepy and disturbing than screaming would have been 😲
Carmageddon was an amazing game, I remember when it game out. There were patches available online to put the humans back into the game and they released the "Splat Pack" 5 months after the game came out
That tickle torture was fucking hilarious
The tickle torture seems to somehow still fit.
if you ban violence in video games, are we supposed to commit violence outside videos games?
In the original C&C, a player could run over troupes in a tank with a "splat" sound. In the German version, however, the sound was a "crunch" because the "troupes" were robots.
18:06 Dude!! Buenos Aires is a city, not a country!! And that’s not the flag of either of them!!

I think there's a misunderstanding, the beloved character is Winnie the Puuh, the insecure little man of a dictator is Winnie the POO
i can 100% understand and approve of their acts because im a Taiwanese XD
Here’s a weird version of censorship: Crash Bandicoot 2 on the PlayStation. The Japanese version of the game was censored for a rather morbid reason. In the levels Snow Go, Snow Biz, and Cold Hard Crash, there are crushers that try to flatten you into the ground, and if successful, Crash will be left with only his head and shoes waddling around. While pretty funny, the death was changed to be completely flattened in the Japanese version because it resembled the severed head and shoes left behind by a Japanese serial killer that was on the loose in the 90’s.
Pro tip for Pokémon Go: If a Pokémon is in a dangerous area, turn off the AR mode and catch it from a safe distance
Yeah good advice, it’s crazy there are people who will risk their lives just to catch virtual monsters
The video's thumbnail is literally crazy😂
