  • Do you have what it takes to be a Warfighter for the United States Navy?
In this video, we follow Aviation Maintenance Administrationman 1st Class Charlie Adams as he assumes the role of a candidate at Navy Aviation Rescue Swimmer School. We’ll follow along as he goes through a preparatory course, which focuses on water safety, gear familiarization, swimming proficiency, and physical fitness and nutrition. This course is one of the first steps students complete in almost two years of training before reporting to their first squadron.
    This is #NavyJobs!

You have no idea how much I appreciate this video. This is what I'll be doing soon, and I had no idea how the school would be because of the lack of information.

Graduated the first class of 81 in Nas Jacksonville FL. Tuff school. Was proud to be a rescue swimmer aircrewman for 8 years. Spent 4 years at NAS Meridian MS then 4 at HC-6 in Norfolk!

Back in 1984, I have just graduated from my "C" school at Pensacola (Aerospace Medicine Tech) and was trying to get into the rescue swimmer program when the detailer told me that Corpsman was not longer a source rating. I was really bummed. I didn't even get a shipboard squadron. I was assigned to a P-3 patrol squadron in Hawaii. I was able to do some TAD duty with HSL 37 and provided medical coverage to the rescue swimmers doing their re-qualification jumps over in Kaneohe Bay. They did 20 - 0, 20-10 and 20-20 jumps. so cool to watch from the RIB.

If he tried marijuana prior to signing up, and did "NOT" continue to use it because he didn't like it...he "Must not" admit to even trying it. Tell him to lie and say "No, never tried it".
From experience, my truthful answer, got me disqualified from Navy seal training.
      It's Bullsh_t!

They got nicer gear then what I had when I went through. Had to spend the first half night just stenciling your equipment.

This was my dream job. It was in my grasp, I got in, and I messed up. That was over 5 years ago. There's not a day that doesn't go by that I don't think about my greatest regret. I'm an Airmen by heart 💔

Why waste joining the US military defending some other country's boarders, when you can join a local Militia and defend the homeland.
