Nice upgrades! I'll making a lot of the same modifications. A few questions. Is that a makeshift attachment for the Akrapovic pipe near the rear fender or is it actually part of the stock installation? Did you paint those heat guards on the pipe black, or did you order it that way? Also, did you find that the Rizoma bars slowed the bike's turning quickness compared to the stock bars?
Adam Whisner thanks! The Akra attachment is the original part of the exhaust, it does need slight alteration to work with the Evotech tail tidy. The exhaust heat shields I got powder coated black as I prefer the contrast! The Rizoma bars actually make the bike more flickable, it's a sportier riding position compared to the lazy stock bars. Hope this helps!
So would you say the Rizoma bars are just as wide as stock, but just a shorter reach? I found the narrower FZ-07 bars, which are also farther forward, steered pretty slowly during a test ride.
Adam Whisner the rizoma bars are similar width to the stock bars but not as high, making the stance sportier. I find that it gives better feedback from the front tyre and the ride feels more involved. Steering feels more responsive to me!
Man that’s a clean bike
wonderful sound, but aesthetically it is debatable. Do you think it would be possible to move the exhaust to the bottom by cutting the pipe? Thanks
I don't see why not! There's a lot of alternative exhausts which are placed further down. They're a lot cheaper too! 👍
Hey, what's your plate holder please? I can't find one compatible with the akra high position exhaust like yours. Thanks!
It's the Evotech tail tidy. You need to cut the metal spacers down for it all to fit. Google search 'Evotech tail tidy Akrapovic XSR700'
@@Stevewoohoo75 Thanks for your help!!
@@simonlapeyre9040 no worries!
Hi. Where did you get the tail light..it’s not original is it?
Hi. It's made by Vintech, who make the part for Yamaha. Much smaller profile and brighter too!
Hi, where did you buy the saddle?
Ihdvaed Hi! The saddle was made by a company in the UK called Saddlecraft. They used the stock seat, resculptured it and added a gel pad too.
ok, thank you! ;)
Amazing bike do you know how to take the db killer out
What windshield is that?
It's the official Yamaha accessory windshield!
@@Stevewoohoo75 oh nice thanks. And what crash bungs do you use?
GoWILD not sure of the brand as they were already fitted when I bought the bike. Evotech would be my brand of choice though, top quality gear!
Are you able to remove the baffle? If so, have you done it before? How did you like it?
Alex Barancic I didn't remove the baffle as apparently its difficult to do. The bike was loud enough for me with it still in.

How did you change the display position?
Bernardino Perez Gilles tooling make a speedo mount, it's a great piece of kit and simple to fit!
Thank you! It makes more sense the new position of the display than the stock one.
Bernardino Perez no problem! It solves the original issue of having to look down whenever you want to read the Speedo!
where did you buy the mirrors?
They're Rizoma Spy-r mirrors. I got them from Harley Custom in the UK.
