I was so excited for the FRS concept 10+ years ago. As I got older the people that owned them ruined it for me along with golf's. Watching this channel has reignited my excitement for these cars I once had as a kid

interesting you find the black the best color. i specifically avoided the black because i felt it hid too much of the body lines and the accent pieces too much 😂, so basically what you like

The only argument I have for black cars is since they hide so much in photos you really can only appreciate the details in person. So it’s more of a see it irl car. Idk if that makes sense lol
@@Dara321AAA ive owned a black bmw e46 for years, i get what you mean, but its also like the cars a black mirror and can only be appreciated fully in person. i want my car to be appreciated at all times if that makes sense

Dude, I love the hks hi power spec L. keeps the car sounding good with those resonators. paired with a dual res FP, makes a catless setup sound great.
Resonators are a must! I need to hear that setup in person😻

Cool video, the GR86 has been my dream "affordable" car for a while now but I cant stop thinking about how great it would be if it had the 3 cylinder turbo gr yaris/carolla engine, so sick.
I honestly enjoy driving the FA20/FA24. Fits my needs and If I wanted any more power I would probably just HKS turbo it. I see where you are coming from though, it would definetly be interesting to try out an 86 with that 3cyl Turbo Yaris engine.

I’m usually not a big fan of big wings but I do really like the Sard wing & their titanium catback exhaust for these cars. Will most likely get those for my car once I buy one of these
Yea the Sard wing does a good job of bringing that big wing look without being too obnoxious.

Do you know what type of oil most owners use in Japan for these FA20/FA24 engines? For North America, it’s recommended to use 0w-20 but I have heard Japan uses 5w-30?

Keeping mine mostly stock, i dont need more tbh, when i get around to it im going wedsport on the rims, might get a carbon stock wing but i dont want to do much, any exhaust work ill get HKS stuff and probably follow that theme for tiny things like filler caps,

depends where u from in cali but any modification to exhaust is illegal. personally tho i run tomei header and awe track exhaust and havent been pulled over for it and have had it for about a year. extremely loud setup too

In California we can change cbe. I did smog with just hks hp spec l2 and passed 👍🏼 threw on el headers a hour after smog check. Lot of labor is required in California unfortunately

in cali we can not change the exhaust, i have a 2023 brz but the only exhaust legal is the sti for gr one haha. if you have those and change the frontpipe and overpipe you can still pass smog and lie to cops about it being a OEM exhaust 🤣

Hmmm I do not think I am deep enough in the scene here to make that call yet. Ask me again in a year or two lol. Seems like most are N/A just like in the US.
