I think in the name of making it “normal” or less stigmatized, people have crossed the line into making it a trend. Now everyone self-diagnoses and YEARNS for a mental illness. They sell cutesy merchandise for it as well. The sad part is that it’s dangerous when something is normalized and not seen as an “illness” that should be treated.

I think there's a big difference in Caleb writing these songs since he's made some key changes. He still writes sad songs, but Look the Other Way is a sad song with some hope, while Clever from the Disease album feels completely hopeless...

If anything it brings awareness...I suffer from mental health issues and there is a widespread crisis throughout healthcare where they will not actually diagnose you in my opinion (professionally) they are more concerned about just getting wut they can from insurance.... The problem on the other hand is a person's mental issue is due to special individual circumstances that MUST be truly listened to and met with enough compassion to properly diagnose....but good luck EVER revamping the process of healthcare...this is literally the best system we got... 5 star major payout incentives and a proper anymouse way to weed out the malpracticing nurses/doctors that are there simply because "this is the best thing they could find" career wise....guarantee we'd see a slump in these constant mass shootings

Go listen to Reputation by Post Malone and tell me that song isn’t exactly about the fact that he can’t become sober and begin to fix his life, because then what will he be to his fans?

Hurting has always been trendy. Melpomene strikes again.
