Efforts to end Female Genital Mutilation/Cutting (FGM/C) in Garissa County have been gaining momentum through community engagement, advocacy by local leaders, and collaboration between governmental and non-governmental organizations. Womankind Kenya, alongside other NGOs and local government bodies, have been facilitating community dialogues to raise awareness about the health risks and legal consequences of FGM/C.
