  • [ Korean Classifiers (Measure Words) ]
안녕하세요, 한국언니예요! Hello this is Korean Unnie that makes learning Korean fun and easy!
In this episode of Korean Unnie, we are going to learn classifiers that are used in Korean.
Classifiers are also called measure words or counter words, and they “classify” the noun depending on the type of its referent.
For example, when we count papers in English, we say two sheets of paper, not two papers.
Now let’s look at the classifiers that are used in Korean.
    A cup of water
    물 한 컵
    A bottle of water
    물 한 병
    A bottle of soju
    소주 한 병
    A glass of soju
    소주 한 잔
    A glass of wine
    와인 한 잔
    강아지 세 마리
    Three puppies
We use ‘마리’ to count animals.
    학생 세 명
We use ‘명’ to count people.
    펜 한 자루
We use ‘자루’ to count pencils and pens.
연필 한 다스 a dozen pencils .. Japanese pronunciation
다스 is a Japanese pronunciation of dozen and Koreans use that too.
    계란 한 판 (30)
    판 includes 30 eggs.
    책 한 권
권 is a classier for books and magazine.
    옷 두 벌
벌 is a classifier for clothes.
    나무 한 그루
그루 is a classifier for trees.
    신발 세 켤레
켤레 is a classifier for shoes. Three pairs of shoes.
    장미 두 송이
송이 is a classifier for flowers.
Today we learned classifiers of Korean. Memorize the classifiers that are used for specific nouns and don’t make mistakes in speaking or writing Korean. Thank you for watching and see you next time with another informative Korean video. 그럼 안녕~

I can agree, I thought it isn't that hard, and i started to get confused at points, but every language has a point where not everything is as smple as your native language, if you genuinely want to learn a language, you have to be brave enough to face the difficult parts, and if you keep practicing, nothing is hard. Just keep practicing and make sure you stay motivated~

    • @haniashakir4696
      @haniashakir4696 6 лет назад +2

lol lipop I'm actually learning Chinese too and the grammar and vocab is WAYYYY more easier than korean or japanese since the sentence structures are similar to english whereas, korean uses formal and informal word particles. And the only thing I personally find hard is the Tones and Pronounciation. I mean, the reading is kinda confusing since there are various ways to write a single letter. Because tere are different tones, but tbh, writing is also very easy, the storke sequences are really easy and you get used to it i f you practice. Also, I like to learn languages in the ways I find interesting and simple. I like drawing, so i once drew a comic and wrote the phrases the characters were saying in Korean, to improve my writing, and I like singing, so i basically learn words from the lyrics. So you can just use your hobbies in ways that will help you learn better, like i said, anything is easy when you practice and don't give up ❤️
