Plus, that patron role was also voiced by well known in the culinary world

Guys, they used to have the regular version of Ratatouille. However, this restaurant is in Disneyland Paris and of course its mostly families so they just catered to what majority likes and its technically theme park food.
Dude it’s 38 euros for a kids menu - they’re charging Disney prices for Walmart food. You could make ratatouille at home for cheaper than half that price.
The version that you want that remy made takes a long time to make. The one that you have as a side dish is easier to make and they don’t really have to worry about presentation. And considering that most people are there for the ratatouille they decided to go with the easier option. Remy’s ratatouille is delicious btw, I made it at home and oh my 😭 I definitely recommend you guys try to make it!
Epcot is also making one of these along with a Ratatouille based ride. So I assume it's a matter of sourcing chefs and distance from Disney, I however hope that they don't remove the Ratatouille from the menu in the international display.

To those who don’t know, the ratatouille that remy makes in the movie is only technically ratatouille. It is actually a dish called confit byaldi which focuses primarily on the presentation and doesn’t fry the vegetables so they don’t turn into the mush that you were given. What you were served was traditional ratatouille which is essentially a bunch of stuff thrown into a pot for a while (literally peasant food btw). I think that at the France location, the ratatouille would be the traditional version due to the title so I would go to the American location if you want what Remy made!

One of the biggest pet peeves i have when you go it at a "fancy restaurant" is the fact that they want you to pay 40 dollars for all of that when you could go to someplace else and get the same exact thing for like 15 bucks.
