How to install a pet door DIY - small to medium pets

How to install a pet door regardless of size is easy. This easy DIY project requires cutting into your door but is simple. I demonstrate a small pet door installation but steps can be applied to any size pet door that you want installed in the bottom middle part of your door.

Did this door make it easier for insects to get in?

So I actually haven't any increase traffic of bugs / spiders / insects. I spray for pest control so that already reduces insects inside the home. The weather strip around the flappy door does a good enough job and I've had this installed for 3 years. So far so good.
