‘88-‘89 Jordan became the greatest basketball player ever. Definitely in his prime early in his career. Doubled up on the FR3s which was a must!!! Thanks for showing these footages. Such a classic sneaker 🔥

I remember getting these Jordan fire red 3's back in 1988 and now in 2022 Nike and Jordan Brand came out with the og fire red 3's and I love putting them on and the nostalgia and awesome memories are all coming back!

This is so beautiful to watch
2 things. Those SilverDome games are another kind of classic. Probably one of the last old school nba contracts in a football stadium. Despite being a cavern it was daylight bright and the acoustics had the sound of a high school gym & a prequel to the bad boys era when Rodman was a kid & Kelly Tripuka (intro dunk) was doing Kelly Tires in Detroit .
2. It’s still fascinating to watch Bill Cartwright get a shot up.

Wrong! Michael Jordan never debuted a new shoe at the all star game. I’ll explain. Only the Jordan 3s and 4s did he debut the new shoe at the all star game. But it was ONLY the new color way. He never debut a new show halfway thru the season.
Oh really? So what game did he wear the 5s before 1990 all star weekend? And although he occasionally wore the new shoe early, the point is AJs 3-8 all released in the middle of the season during all star weekend. Check the game footage yourself.

That was just the release schedule at that time. Maybe the fact that the all star game was in Chicago in 88 had something to do with it.
