Hi there! I gotta say this.. I was honestly shocked when you talked about spanking and also the way you talked about it. I listened to your podcasts and I was quite a fan of your guys' conversations and thoughts you shared. I guess it was not how I understood your view on parenting. Sorry, I don't want to be judgemental; it just always surprises me when I hear or see this.
I wish there was a good mothers club where I live (TX) , stay at home mom of two and a shop like that, I would definitely go. I think your shop is is such a great idea!
Thank you for sharing your lives and for the openness. I’m sure it might feel scary at times to be open with all of us and whoever watches, but for me, it’s incredibly helpful and needed. We have one income too, just mine, my husband stays home. We cannot afford childcare. We tried a nanny but my husband’s job paid less than the nanny earned. So for me, the more you guys share about this in your lives, it’s so helpful! It helps me remember that it’s ok what we’re doing and even if finances are hard now, it won’t always be. And, dad is raising our two girls, which is unique and amazing as you guys know. Thank youuuuu 🥰🙏🏼
It’s 2023. Have you guys not read any of the dozens of research and advice of child development experts on how harmful spanking is to a child’s development, future mental health and attachment? Using fear to raise kids is an easy but detrimental way to parent. I expected more of you guys, you are raising the future 😓
The look Jules gave when you asked if she said bye to Eloise 🤣 I'm absolutely dead that was HILARIOUS!! My daughter makes that same face at me at least once a day
What a lovely vlog, thank you very much! It was really interesting seeing shaun's perspective because he just seems like a cool and laid back dad and I'm sure he us away from the camera too, the kids seem to have a lovely bond with him. As a stay at home mum, I've learnt from this vlog❤ I don't personally spank my kids, however I don't think anything bad of it if it's done the right way which Shaun seems to be doing. However I do have to say as someone who also repeats instructions only for my 2 boys to ignore and do what they like. Ever since I have started to get down to their level, demand their eye contact and ask them to do something, 99% they comply. I see it as giving yourself respect and giving importance to what you're asking them to do. And they feel that and listen. Of course there's a balance as to giving them choices but sometimes you need them to do certain things at certain times. I'm blessed to have a hubby who does what he can after work and he too has an excellent bond with our boys. All the best with the shop, looks fantastic❤
I like what Shaun said about exercise and the importance of routines and community- I am currently trying the find those pieces in my daily life as a new mom of 2. It’s hard, but so important. Congratulations on the opening of your shop!
When shawn said spanking do he mean hitting? Meaning slapping the kid or. Im curius. I live in Europe scandinavian country and its a tabu and illegal here to spank children.
Such a lovely vlog- wishing you all the most success with the shop Jess, and great to see the kids enjoying community and time outside. I felt a bit weird seeing Wilson use the potty though, I know each to their own and if you guys feel good that's the most important ( saying this utterly without judgement by the way, I know you guys are careful about what you share). You guys inspire me to embrace the semi chaotic or just plain chaotic feeling of having multiple kids in a small space and being on a budget- it's all life and it's all happening ❤
Thank you so much! And that bit with Wilson was supposed to be blurred! Thank you for letting me know because it made me realize that the blurring Edit didn’t happen and now I have edited it here on RUclips. It says it takes an hour or so to change the video and add the blur but still I appreciate you writing me about it. You’re such an encouragement to me and it means a lot! ❤️
Cool! Yeah sometimes technology isn't our friend, these things happen- I really hope that I didn't come across as super critical, thats not my intention at all. Whenever I feel discouraged your videos bring a little light in and I'm a better mom friend to first timers and even more experienced parents because of things I've seen/ heard from you and yours ❤️

I love this - getting down on their level and ensuring eye contact is so good and I find it helps too! Thank you for watching ❤️❤️!
The shop will do amazing. You've created a special space and have an incredible business!
Lovely! ❤ I’m very happy for you all!
