The Doors channel is the official RUclips home of classic Doors live performances, The Doors albums, and contemporary performances and content honoring The Doors featuring John Densmore and Robby Krieger.
With an intoxicating, genre-blending sound, provocative and uncompromising songs, and the mesmerizing power of singer Jim Morrison’s poetry and presence, The Doors had a transformative impact not only on popular music but on popular culture.
The Doors’ arrival on the rock scene in 1967 marked not only the start of a string of hit singles and albums that would become classics, but also of something much bigger - a new and deeper relationship between creators and audience. Refusing to be mere entertainers, the Los Angeles quartet relentlessly challenged, confronted and inspired their fans, leaping headfirst into the heart of darkness while other bands warbled about peace and love. Though they’ve had scores of imitators, there’s never been another band quite like them.
What a great combination of people. Densmore, Santana, Cindy Blackman, John Doe. They fit each other musically very well. John Doe did a great job vocally. Good natural, casual style without imitating Jim is a hard thing to do singing any Doors song.
Thanks John Densmore for playing drums on these songs again
He looks like he's really enjoying it
R.l.P Jim and ray manzararek love street forever
' ÚNICOS DOORS ' Nadie han podido hacer parir las obras como ellos lo han hecho ... Los Doors , no nos recordaban a nadie . Su sonido y los poemas de Jim Morrison fueron , son y serán siempre Doors .
Tengo 67 años , no he encontrado otro sonido como los de estos inagotables músicos . Gracias chicos Fé
Oh Oui !!!
It's so damned good..all blend very well😍

yep i love this.
Real musicians
What a wonderful performance
I love this song and this is such a great performance! Two thumbs up!
This is Amazing!
2020 and just now i discovered this gold!
Queremos esa gira en todo el mundo 🌍
Densmore's still got it. Apart from him and the keys this is fucking abysmal.
Abysmal or actually LIVE...
@@reacguru The Doors used to play live a lot, you may have heard of them and they sounded fantastic. ;)
doors music forever
Should of had Robbie there. Hearing Carlos play E minor pentatonics over this was horrible
Maybe he wants a break from that fucking Dorian scale.
yes!
Incredible!
Aplausos
Always very good
CARLOS
I don't know why you would have a second drummer when the original doors drummer is sitting right there but besides that this is a really good version
I respect the decision of the composer to have second drum set and this version to me is beautiful
My sense tells me that the woman drummer come along with Sir Carlos Santana
i was thinking the same, but she adds a rock feel , to Densmore's jazz vibe.. im not a musician so no real idea what i am talking about,,, but it sounded and felt damn good to me. And if there is one thing The Doors have taught me is that, that is all that matters :)
Sr. Densmore doesn't play drums like in 70's. Something normal, with mist of the old drummers.
Cindy Blackman Santana is one of the best jazz drummers on earth. She also played with Lenny Kravitz. Do your homework. I am sure John loved to play with her
Still a great song, but it sounds like Santana is playing it for the first time unprepared, like if it's a jam session.
Yeah it seems it was full improvisation by Santana lol, he always dos whatever he wants
Thanks
Who's the keyboard player? Just awesome! Playing left-hand bass Fender Rhodes like Ray Manzerik.
Jim Morrisoonn!!!!! I LOVE YOU!!!!
Buenissimooooosss
Me gustaría quienes son ..solo Santana conozco .
Love it ❤️
LOVE THIS THANKS
Carlos owns this performance.
I keep whit the pianist and the girl
I started listening to the doors in the mid-seventies the version of the end using Apocalypse Now was the most appropriate song that could have been used in such a dark movie I know most of this movie is not real in fact I think it's taken from the book Ghost and the Darkness there will never be a band like the doors without Jim those three guys would have gone nowhere but without those three guys Jim would have never gone nowhere they needed each other I hear all these things about they were broken up they were never going to do anything together again but I believe differently I believe if he would have lived they would have toward LA Woman and it would have been a world tour cuz that album was just so good they would have put out maybe three more albums and then after that may be broken up but I think the Poetry still would have gotten listen to the poetry books would have sold because Jim at his best was it American poet most people do not understand that and that's all you have to do is read wilderness American night the Lord's and new creatures listen to The Poetry album American Prayer read the books of Jim read and you will come up with a true poet in every sense of the word I miss him I never knew him I'm from Virginia my first cousin Larry went to the same high school as Jim and was friends with his younger brother and met gem on several occasions I've asked him what he remembered from those days and he says that he was good looking no problem getting girls didn't want a car when he graduated wanted to complete works of Frederick Nietzsche Morrison was an anomaly he was a star that came so quick and let's just as fast but he left us with so much so very much this world is a better place for having Jim Morrison and his band in it
❤❤
Miguel Buenrostro Moreno . De la banda x punk de los 70s
I’ll tell you what, that was pretty damn good. I wasn’t sure what to expect, but I did not expect this performance. That was amazing. It took me for a ride that I did not want to end. Outstanding!
GRATE
and robbie krieger ? should have been there
Uffffffff genial!
And the Prince showboating award goes to Carlos Santana....
Hey guys! Who is sing s song of Jim Morrison (I don't know) please tell me more.
John Doe of Los Angeles X.
John and Cindy jazzing smooth. Santana overplaying. The guitarplayers forgot what song they were playing. Nice version anyway
The organist/keyboardist was fantastic, truly spot on. The lead singer was decent. Densmore on the drums did a fine job. However Santana (as great as he is) just didn't mesh. He plays a different style of guitar that did not blend in well to this masterpiece. Overall I give this a B- to B performance.
Santana’s performance is like Jimi Hendrix’s all along the watch tower an if u can get into the groove of it it’s really good :(
The legend Carlos Santana jamming with the Doors
All Right
where's robbie? anyone know?
IDEE GASS VESNAAAAAA!
This is a cool video, far out.
Weird that Carlos Santana says his favorite band of the 60s was the Doors. Cool, but weird.
"They should have had the lead singer from "The Doors Alive" band.
@wendy pearson
The lead singer from "The Doors Alive" sounds so more superior and is far superior than this other guy. The lead singer from The Doors Alive" is like Jim Morrison reincarnate.
ruclips.net/video/IF3ZGAa8CHk/видео.html
he sounds like garbage, I dunno why people "love" this. Jim or Ray wouldn't have.
always presenting a woman ..Santana
Maybe too early to say: may the fire burn forever.
Sounds like decent karaoke. Best I can say about it.
Damn the mans riffs are mean
I was there Cabrera hung out with my step daughter baby sat with Robbie, kids
Carlos is awsome
jesus get the guy of the mic
Santanna, great but a Bogart at times..+ indelicate
He's primal ...Alpha an old and still one of the best guitar players in the world.. just saying
the singer could at least respect the original melody... any change is a risk...this one i don't like...it is not beautiful...
The vocalist was trying to hard to emulate Jim's mystical croons during this performance. Not a bad cover, but they should've sung a more upbeat tune like "Tell All The People"
This was garbage. Jim wouldn't have stood for this bullshit.
Need for Speed
the vocal... my ears are bleeding
ruclips.net/video/IF3ZGAa8CHk/видео.html
Que bien Carlitos Santana en la guitarra
Bien como el pico
Carlos should not try to chew gum and play the guitar at the same time
Somebody sue Densmore for letting this shit be labeled as The Doors.
Santana added this song his generally, boring guitar voices...
This is garbage, I know they're old,but this was just sad; 0 energy, and hardly any musical rhythm. The guy on vocals sounds like a drunken old codger on Karaoke night at your local bar. Jim wouldn't have been pleased.
LOL! Hell. That's the way Jim sounded half the time!
@@IsaacNewton1966 Agreed :D
This version doesn't touch the psychedelic excursions the 4 of them took during their concerts.
Carlos overkill, not right player for doors music 👎
Carlos Santana is a living legend!!
It's like he only plays his style.
@@MakeMeLo
How many records has he sold??
Too fast. Lost its swing.
Jim and Ray Are cursing all involved including John Densmore straight to hell for this vulgar desecration on a classic. And Santana please, so fucking overrated.
That`s the worst song I ever heard Carlos play. Who thought up this disaster?
This is terrible
I agree they should have someone else play I mean the singer is ok but I don't think he really fits in with The Doors
Santana y el vocal rancio sobran ahí
Jajajaajajajajajajajajajajaja! Cierto!!
Carlos not the right player for doors music , way overkill , come on Carlos 🥴
saw the doors at the beginning - bito lidos, hulabaloo after hours, whisky. no these are not them - but still, nice tribute. reminds of me what it was like back then when just playing (vs impressing) was
what it was about. and my guess is the singer is not far off from how Morrison would sound today.
Re molesto Santana jaja
I could sing it better than that. The best they could do?
NO.
uggh no
Puros. Door
El cantante es malísimo !!!
Jhon Doe from XBand
