(They never missed the 700 club) I had been playing trumpet for like 1 year and a half and I was 11/12 ish my grandfather looks at dead in the eyes and says “Boy you better start sounding like that or ima need to you to give this lil horn thing up” 😂😂😂
most people would say that “your playing should come from the diaphragm”, yet some forget that it should come from the heart as well. absolutely jaw dropping and astounded at the fact this has only under 100k views, jesse mcguire should be getting atleast 50M overall. super underrated.
I never heard the song/piece before, heard a tiny clip of it somewhere else and had to come find this. Now I'm inspired to learn it, I play guitar, Bass & keys, so I'll work something out I'm sure. I ain't religious, but some religious music is just amazing. Not all, most church singing in Europe is miserable, but Gospel is something else, really good music in it's own right. I like a lot of classical religious works too.

Yeah that A-F leap right after the backing does a groovy little swing… clearly caught a lot of people’s ears. I don’t know if there’s a “universal music” understood by all humans, but if there is, this moment surely is one.

All of us are underrated :) It's such an intensive and difficult instrument to master. So many incredible pros from history that didn't get the recognition of so many other greats.
No complex display of technique. Just pure soul and belief. Everytime a musician plays, they have to tell a story. Im not religious and I don't know if Mcguire is religious. But the Holy spirit was moving through him at the time he played this.
