  • The wind has been high and I have turned to bass fishing in Sydney's north shore to get my outdoor fix in.
I started from the end of the harbour and worked my way up towards middle harbour creek, casting into every pool I could get to in anticipation of a session the next day with a friend.
while walking I saw a huge eel, a powerfull owl, a goanna, and a snake, It was a great day.
I got onto all the fish on plastics with size 2 hooks and 1/8-1/30th oz jigs.

I need to get back out there. I've been a victim of the leeches too the one time I was out in the middle harbour area. So serene yet so close to the city. You'd never guess you're only 15-20 mins away from a city like Sydney with how quiet it can be in some of those parts.

The leeches are gross!! I feel like they only come out in the rain too. In some drone footage for future vids I actually show how close they are to houses 🏘

@@cballzoutdoors Yeah! You don't even feel them either until you see the blood stains...last time I went out covered head to toe and somehow they still latched onto me. Now I resort to taping all openings shut to try to keep them off me 🤣

so you were fishing from brackish to fresh then, good stuff, flathead can survive in almost fresh water. Nice bushwalk and well done with the plastics, cheaper to snag and loose than lures. A few fish is good though. bushwacking is fun, even via a boat up, say, the far end of the Nepean, see BIG goannas and even bigger wedge tail eagles about...

Bungaroo track is your best bet, then onto middle harbour Creek track. Then it's up to you how wet you want to get really. A friend with a net also expands your options for casting as well

Great sess Cballz, for next time, when taking a thumbnail rinse your catch off in the water, makes a better photo rather then the fish being overed in dirt and leaves, a bit more appealing to the viewer.....otherwise a great vid, thanks for your consistent content. Cheers, Peter.

I was thinking that.. but was honestly expecting the prize catch to come later so didn't worry too much 🥲 hopefully there will be a few more prize catches to in the near future to show you I can take a good pic!
