    Gretzky is doing commercials now for a gambling app. Every other commercial now is for a gambling app during hockey games.

      I don't blame him for taking the money from the gambling sites, if he didn't someone else would have. I think his biggest scandals where his mom and wife (separate games) swung their purses at players roughing up Wayne over the boards back when the glass was shorter 😂 Aparently he politely called Michael Jordan was cheap in Vegas and told him to tip much more. So the gambling stuff isn't great, but he and his dad are great.

      To go a step further, Mike Magic Johnson, TSN colour commentator, actually goes through the numbers just before a game starts. Cabbie has done stats for gambling as well. You see on social media, people talking about the the bets they placed for this to happen or that to happen. It's not Sports Select anymore. (Canadian sports betting tickets you get at places that sell lottery tickets and mark down whatever).
      Oh and Georges St. Pierre, Mats Sundin, and others have done commercials for gambling apps. It's a million or billion dollar business.

      Throughout school, Mitchell Miller extreme bullied a disabled black student. The Bruins should have known that there was going to be a backlash for signing him. That's why they rescinded the signing. If they didn't sign him, they wouldn't have needed to do damage control and rescind it.

    1) The original video says at 0:48 that Tocchet received probation.
    2) The sexual abuse of Kyle Beach is only part of the story, much of which is inexcusable. The perpetrator was assistant coach Brad Aldrich. He likely targeted Beach because he did not have a spot with the NHL club, and therefore would be less likely to complain. When Beach did report the incident to the Blackhawks, who were weeks away from winning their first Stanley Cup in 59 years, they declined to contact the police. Beach said some Blackhawks players harassed him with anti-homosexual slurs, and that the team leaders, including Patrick Kane, did not stop it (he did not specify which players harassed him). Brad Aldrich at minimum should have been fired, but he wasn't, possibly in part because his father was a respected long-time NHL employee. Instead, Aldrich got his name engraved on the Stanley Cup (since removed), was allowed to quit, and possibly got a recommendation from the Blackhawks. Brad Aldrich subsequently worked at a university and then a high school, where he molested at least one boy and was convicted for it. The Blackhawks got to celebrate 3 Cup victories in 5 years [EDIT: 6 seasons -- 2010-2015]. As for Kyle Beach, he never played in the NHL. He has played in the North American minor leagues and in European leagues, all while dealing with mental illness from the trauma.
    3) At 6:26, the Arizona Coyotes were evicted from their home arena because their billionaire owner chose to not pay the team's rent!

    • @grahamdamberger7130
      @grahamdamberger7130 9 месяцев назад

      It was 3 cups in 6 years (2010, 2013, 2015). But regardless, that dynasty that Chicago built is now one in disgrace because upper management did nothing when a s** crime was committed by a member of the coaching staff back in 2010. Not only did they ruin the lives of two young prospects, but giving a s** offender letters of recommendation? That's just asking for more lives to be ruined, and that's what happened with the then 16 year old during Aldrich's time as a high school coach.

    The therapy thing is so they have a metric to mark the growth and give him a way to understand why what he did was s*****, but it's mainly so they can say, "Hey, we tried with this guy," when he does it again. I also don't strictly agree that everyone knows what's right and wrong at 17 just because folks are from different places with different standards, but I definitely agree with the spirit of your opinion. When you're a literal rapist, we don't need you being a role model or a figure kids look up to, whether you want them to or not.

    The Chicago SA scandal was insane.
    Short version of it, The video coach at the time was saying shit like, “hey if you blow me ill tell the head coach that youve been looking good in the training videos and to give you more ice time.”
    And the organization did nothing cause they were on a tear of winning the Cup repeatedly. And didnt want to derail that.
    Even crazier is the video coach then applied to a high school coaching job and the Blackhawks recommended and referenced him and he got the job.

    • @TheMrCC21

    Fun little can of worms to open up, based off some of the controversies (particularly the sexual one involving the Montreal draft pick) I agree with certain points of both sides. On the one hand, he commuted a crime, and a pretty horrible crime at that. I also agree that an 18 year has the ability to become a good version of himself. I can’t say I have any respect for Mailleux at all, but I’m a firm believer in the human ability to change and atone. I actually believe that him personally requesting to be excluded from the draft is evidence in my mind that he holds a lot of regret and doesn’t want past evils to shape his future. Again, I don’t like the kid at all for what he did, but somebody that young has all the potential in the world to transition from a shitty kid into a responsible adult who is able to take accountability and understand how damaging just one action can be to another human.
