That song is a certified Armored Core classic in the making I can feel it.
Something I love about Armored Core and I suppose From games in general, but particularly AC, is that there's this sort of air of serenity, even in the most tense and fast-paced encounters.
That music especially is fantastic. I'd love it if FreQuency make a return too with some banger vocal tracks.

I think what interests me the most in this fight is that it’s raining. In all the other shots of this game there’s is t a whole lot of rain making the planet feel desolate, but when the music kicked in and whoever Ayre is started talking it brought a sense of calm and most importantly

I just finished this fight with a tetrapod using two laser cannons and a shotgun/pulse. I hated it.
Balteus is a very fitting name. The name means belt, which he is wearing many of. It was also a rank in rome for a member of the clergy

The sound design, the MUSIC THE FUCKING MUSIC, every hit, every shot, the voice lines from your onboard a.i UUUUGH it's all so incredible. And after so many years. Welcome back Ravens.

Considering a quad legged AC in the first trailer had that same shield Balteus had, I'm hoping we can get it at some point.
I saw Vaati use the assault shield (i think thats what its called, cant remember) against Balteus, so i think you can get it early.
Finally beat this guy last night using the bazooka and linear rifle. My solution was to lock him up in ACS stagger as much as possible after taking out the shield and prevent him from spamming, especially that ridiculous homing warhead and fire carpet bomb. I also use the assault armor expansion when his shield was down to interrupt his flame sword attack. Just my two cents.
I never thought to use the plasma rifle that causes a secondary explosion. Good stuff though!
Im excited to learn more about this Ayre chick, shes probably the one who will break us away from Waltuh.

I am having such a hard time with this guy, not gonna lie. I can't do nearly enough damage, and I can't dodge the missiles at all. It's a completely different fight from the rest of the fights before this one.
Me too brother. But I think I’m nearly about to get it. I tried a couple different builds and think the one I put together last night is the one to beat this fucka 😂 you got this bro 👊
@@FearDaReaper i got him last night, went full dodge build, trying something different. Had to repeat a few missions so i could get the big generator and actually boost my energy threshold. It took me a few fights, but got him with an energy pistol, energy canon, and 2 vertical missile launchers.
@@DoubleJJizzle nice bro I got on a couple hours ago and beat him myself. I didn’t actually realise you could re do the missions to make more money tho 🤦♂️ I thought I’d done all I could do. So sold everything that wasn’t equipped and bought a light build. Didn’t quite work so went light to medium with the two energy machine guns on the arms and two vertical missile launchers on the shoulders. I’ve just now beat that next big boss with my last three rockets 😂 having a blast tho. Literally.

I actually had so much trouble with this fight just now. I didn't realize for a while that there were better weapons to break shields. Even then I felt like all my damage was just slowly widdling away. Good fight.
Im still struggling too. I was using tetra legs and started performing a lot better by switching to legs with a faster dodge cool down. Still loosing but I'm taking less damage from the missiles. It's really the big rocket that's killing me now
@@Reikaenkami Yeah, I went lightweight and used dodging to beat it. Pulse weapons for breaking the shield, missles for dps.
Ill be honest i was not excited for this game. But now it the only thing I can think Off sometimes Lmao. The sound design is absolutely perfect the way the metal sliding on the ground, the beeping when your shoulder missiles are ready the explosion all top notch. And don’t even get me started with the music just incredible Even the trailers. Visually looks amazing too especially this boss the lighting is insane. I don’t pre order games since red Dead 2 but after Elden ring I think from soft won’t disappoint

This was the boss fight that made me switch from a distant, defensive playstyle to an aggressive, in-your-face style. I felt like a hornet on crack but by god if it didn't make me feel like the most badass motherfucker around.

a bit of spoilers but there's 11 missions for the first chapter, this is just the endboss for that final mission. the missions will vary in length though

This was a tough fight, those flamethrowers are no joke. Took me way too many tries but it felt great to finally beat him.
I'm guessing you're a souls player? I'm not, and this fight just felt like overtuned missile spam with a bullshit shield mechanic.
@@Adanu191 yep I'm a big fan of every fromsoft game since Demon's Souls. I ended up beating him by just overwhelming him with melee and firing while assault boosting right at him. he wanted to relentlessly spam missiles, so I relentlessly got in his face and it worked really well. your bullets do more damage during assault boost making them more helpful against shields
@@arbiter- Yeah, I can see how souls players like this shit, but it isn't AC to me. I'll finish this game, but if this is the direction they're going, count me out for sure.

No not at all i dont even think the comparison mskes sense. Batleus doesnt even have anyone inside it. the PCA sent a drone on sterioids to clean up a mess.
*I defeated the Boss's AI (10 Minutes ago), he doesn't like being harassed all the time, I immediately launched a direct Attack with my Shotgun and Flashgun, always trying to stay ABOVE HIM and get as close to him as possible, the Fight was over after about 1 Minute (After 30+ previous Attempts with dozens of other weapons), I had something similar with a Boss before, all Weapons failed and a small but nice Weapon brought victory, so the Makers of the Game are right in saying, the Difficulty is determined by your Loadout ;)*
*If you have Problems with this Boss (In short): Go (instant) in close Range, go above him, take Weapons that make best damage at close Range (or splash Damage), and do attack all the time and let him not 1 Second for a Breath, push, push, push, because the AI is programmed for a long range Fight !!*
*As helper Weapons, I used Rockets that can attack from above, 1 Normal Rockets and 1 with Area-Flash-Attack !!*
*My Mecha was a Type with Spider-Legs and a Strong-Build with the best Parts I could get at this Point, with 13150 AP (Hitpoints) !!*
*I've never been happier defeating a boss than this one !!*

I went back to him as a replay eventually, with nothing but missiles. I cant believe he kicked my ass on the first play through. Unless he was toned down since my last run in. This really was an easy fight

how i been doing this and that bar does not even build that fast. i got the same gear and hitting all my shot and yet that stagger bar doesnt even come close to full that fast as this video. thats so suse

Unfortunately, Repair Systems means that it can make the fight easier than it's predecessor.. It seems that max 1 repair kit is the right number.
I wish that the game has no difficulty toggle as well.
Based on vaatividya's vid abt his AC6 playthrough, it seems that use of repair kits may mean the difference between getting an S-rank on the mission or not, which i'm pretty sure S-ranking may give you potential loot/parts
It means they are gonna balance the game around them. Making it harder
literally the opposite, the fights will be harder to compensate for the fact that you can heal.
