- Ganalu Falls near Bangalore at Ganalu, Malvalli tourism Mandya tourism Karnataka tourism,Ganalu waterfalls located at Ganalu, Malavalli Taluk, Mandya District, Karnataka .The Shimsha river flows down to form the Ganalu Waterfalls. It is surrounded by rocky terrain, and requires little bit of trek to reach the final place. The Shimsha river further flows down towards Shimshapura Hydro Electric Plant . This place is accessible to an extent by two wheelers and and not much by four wheeler. The path to the waterfall is a narrow mud road. It is a lesser known waterfall. Not many people are around this waterfall other than locals and bikers. The waterfalls comes to life by the month of October. The view of the rocky surface of the waterfall area is equally interesting to visit, to see the kind of rough surface. One needs to be cautious while ascending and descending towards the water fall. As the rocky surface can be dangerous in case of even minor mishaps.
Distance between Bangalore and Ganalu Falls is 99 kms. It is located 45 KM from Mandya , 15 KM from Malvalli and 69 Kms from Mysore.

Firstly, I am sorry that this could be a long comment & I apologize for the same. I have really liked the videos not because there are less videos on the travel section but because you take efforts for some minute details in your videos to show us & the truth. Also, l see that you take great interest in showcasing river systems especially dams in your videos.
That said, I would really like the information that your trying to project in your videos, especially on the dam systems, through a drone camera with your comments, will be really wonderful. It is because I see you try to show us the whole structure, as it is in the current time, and also give us a bird's-eye view perspective explaining from where exactly & how the river water is flowing & entering the dam area, the appropriate area the water is getting dammed and how exactly (from where it is getting released) the water flows from the dammed area.
When commenting this, I clearly understand the monetary aspect and the personal efforts it takes even for the current videos that you are trying to show us. But believe me, if this sort of extra efforts are take now, maybe in coming future or even in the life time of your future too, these informations on different dam structures that you cover in your videos from the water getting dammed & back again into the rivers system and how exactly different dam structures have been working would help many commoners to revere the water they are getting easily accessed to, and not to mention even the civil engineers to study on structures & how to better implement it in the future will be enormous.
I too agree that these efforts & informations may not pay off well in your in your lifetime but it is always one's life efforts that yields results which is why there is family structure in our society and in time & again proved that is not always true as humans believe. Also, I am going to put out this same comment on different videos of yours that you have released through your previous video logs so that it is clearly visible to you even if you care or not... Finally, thanking you if you have gone through this comment carefully and jai Karnataka...

Good effort by sudeep kottikal to show a nice falls . But tourism dept and forest dept shall jointly take care to protect tourist lives from contingent happenings through protective measures. Because Mallalli falls in Kodagu is an example for frequent losses of young lives every year.

Good job from Sudeesh capturing the beauty of the falls. As this fall gets popular with college kids and youths, tthis place is sonn going to get dirty with beer bottles and thrash all over the place, and this in turn going to pollute the river.
