I got the neon ones and was surprised by how much I loved this shoe. I prefer them to the Metcon 8. I have plantar fasciitis, and the rigid heel in my traditional Metcon really makes my heel ache. The 5 Frees have been my go-to shoe for the last few weeks. I find myself choosing it over everything else. I've ran in them, lifted heavy in them, and I also just enjoy wearing them for daily activities! Love this shoe. Thanks for your reviews and info on drop dates.
I bought the men’s Metcon 5 neon color for myself since they didn’t make it for women. I love the neon so much that I ended up buying a Pegasus neon as well for running. I have been operating in neonmania mode since
I bought the free metcon 3 whenever they came and was a bit soured on the free metcon for a few years. Just bought the free metcon 5's and they're honestly the best trainers I've had since the free x Metcons
*I returned my pair because the front of the shoes are incredibly tight. Also, they are not at all breathable. If you put your hand inside the shoe and blow on top of the shoe, you don’t feel any air going through.*
I got mine today and never trying the 4s I can't comment but I have wide feet and I went true to size. They seem fine so far, metcon 8 and 7s kill my feet, the free 5s for me feel great in the mid foot and toe box. The heel will bed in,
How do you think these are for daily heavy bag work? I was using my Metcon 8s for a month or so for this and found the rubber outsole separating on the right shoe where I'd pivot on the ball of my foot.
Hey all considering these for my gym shoes...usually at gym I do like 2 mile run to warm up as I'm an avid runner then hit the weights...will these shoes be good for running on treadmill? I know in this review it says yes
I picked these up because I heard they were roomier for the wide foot gang. Mehh. I like them, but they aren't particularly comfortable for me. I don't get ankle slip, but that's probably because they're tight to begin with. I took them off mid workout for my Nano9s and my feet were singing hallelujah haha. For regular feet, Im sure they're great, but for wider feet I think they're iffy.
@@JAKETHESNAKKE I actually gave mine away. I dont typically get Metcons because they've been narrowish, but Im hearing the 9s are wider. Glad my info helped!
I’m looking to get a gym shoe. I have nobull knits which I haven’t worn in ages which I think I’ll use until I find better. I have never worn Nikes and tried some other styles since they don’t stock these and boy I hated the feel of metcons and two other styles of Nike. I think I’m soo used to wearing my ASICS gel nimbus 25 which are just heaven. I think I might wear them to the gym too but I’m not keen to wear running shoes in the gym.
Wore them the other day and I forgot how much I did like them but if I needed flexibility, I probably wouldn’t need to be lifting too heavy. If I needed to lift heavy, I probably wouldn’t need much flexibility. So they’re in between the Frees and 8’s, good but just overlooked. Don’t do anything exceptionally well but some might like the balance.
im looking for a shoe to jump rope in and came across this video, the chances of it getting in the gap seems slim? but anyways im looking to grab these for treadmill / jump rope should i get these or are there any others u recommend
I have exchanged these shoes 4 times - went from an 8 to a 7.5 and back to an 8 and then 8.5. My heel slipped in all sizes it’s so annoying!!! It’s so uncomfortable!
If youre getting pain in the heels from Metcon 8/9 then these would be better for sure. As a lifting shoe, the flagship metcon would be best but i think if youre boxing, something like this would be better or even the Alpha Trainer or Air Zoom TR.
@@AMRAP I asked this way. In the country where I live, there is not much difference in price between metcon 6 and metcon 7. The metcon 6 I can find is sold as a narrow mold. I think my feet are scalloped and narrow and it will force me. Can you also suggest me walking shoes from well-known brands that are comfortable and comfortable?
Can I buy women's Metcon 5 shoes even though I'm a man? Does it make a difference? Because on the official website, they don't have my size in the men's section, but they do in the women's section.
The secret to keep expensive gym shoes in pristine condition is to wear them only at the gym and avoid wearing them outdoors. I have gym shoes that are over 10 years old that looks new in mint condition and I go to the gym 4 times a week
Just bought a pair for travel/ hotel workouts. Spot on review, as usual.

Also will add this...I am in the middle of a move. The only workout shoes I brought with me are these, new Nano 2s, and Nike Invincible Runs!
in general I don't like neon color. But with these in combination with the color of the sole, I think they are the most beautiful.

Hi, I have flare feet. Would you say they run true to size or should I size up a 1/2 size? Thanks

I have wide feet and the 4s are too tight so I upgraded to the 5s for a more comfortable fit. Best decision I ever made

Best replacement for reebok speed tr 2.0? Need a shoe to lift, but still jump and run. Haze look good to me?
Last pair of these I have are the free 3s. How does this compare to that model?
How do you think these are for daily heavy bag work? I was using my Metcon 8s for a month or so for this and found the rubber outsole separating on the right shoe where I'd pivot on the ball of my foot.
Are these shoes good for someone that uses custom orthotics insoles for plantar fasciitis? Thanx

I think you'll be better suited in the Air Zoom Trainer 1 - check them out here ruclips.net/video/Nv0cDF4ZIKk/видео.html

Can you do a Nike Pegasus 40 review black/white colorway
Insole slips forward in mine but have glued them down !
yo thats actually really smart
is it good for daily use ? i got the 7 and the free 4 but im using a lot of these for normal uses in my day
These are currently my daily driver
@@AMRAP i have a metcon 3 but i feel like they are so tight in the front i suffer a bunion but thinking about having the 5 i love these new
Good for long walks
Have u used it on runs?
These or the Saucony cross sports for lifting?
I’d go with these if you had more of a focus towards lifting
metcon 4 or metcon 5? which do you recommend metcon series?

yes but unless
you have very narrow feet i would recommend a half size up to get the extra width
Free Metcon 5 at $120 or Free Metcon 4 at a 20% or more discount? Getting that much more in the 5?
I'd say just go for the cheaper ones.
If u have wide feet buy 5
I use these for walking and traveling....
So do I

Still rockin the free Metcon 1

Favorite CrossFit shoe off all time, the sole just wears out fast. 😔
I’m on my third pair. I just buy them off of Marketplace or EBay 😄
