Nice mods. I have a 2020 Ford Transit MR, 148” WB DIY camper van. I’m a little younger than you and I couldn’t deal with tearing down and putting my bed together every night. I put a fixed bed that enables me to sleep east to west. I also put L track in my van. US cargo control has an assortment of different fittings. A bit pricey, but it helps enable organization. I also installed L track in the ceiling, above my bed. I attached a heavy duty O ring that acts as a grab ring. It helps me lift up and back in bed. I installed some above my back windows. I hang a Molle panel with zippered storage bags. Are the floor Smartliner’s rubber? I own a 1 piece from Husky and I find it to be slippery. Thanks for sharing a tour of your van.

As an Ontour 2.2 wannabe I love your insightful videos. I have a couple questions for the folks out there. How quiet is the cab when driving on a highway? Road noise and interior rattles… Also, how is the Ontour with winter camping? How cold can one safely camp? I thank you in advance.
Thank you Jim. These videos below will give you an idea of the noise a class B RV . A Class A owner commented that the class B cabin noise is quieter compared to a class A RV. We put pads in between pots, pans, appliances that would rattle. If you winterize your RV, you can use the RV like any vehicle. You can flush the toilet with pink anti-freeze. We have seen Pleasure-Way owners who live in the northern part of the USA who would camp in the Winter. The Truma furnace which runs on propane gives a very nice heat. Great video on storage ideas.! I wanted to ask a question about your video from the Hershey show. I know that the lithium has increased to 600 Ah.On the ontour 2.0 they said they can't use the new efficient and quiter Truma ac and have kept the 120v Dometic. So you still can't run the ac on lithium However, one of the PW reps mentioned to you and David you could switch and use your current ac (? Houghton- I saw your video on that mod). You could now run it on lithium. I am confused. Is your current Houghton ac 12v or 120v? Would Fretz have to modify wiring on your 2024 ontour 2.0?. Lastly, I know some rvr`s install "soft start" or easy start on ac unit that slowly kicks on ac so it doesn't require "spike" in voltage to start. I am interested in purchasing the ontour 2.0, but want to run ac on lithium. My other option was to consider putting in 12v ac. Any suggestions would be helpful. Thanks, Sandy
Hello. This is David: In regard to the 2024 OnTour 2.0 upgrade video ruclips.net/video/855bdFuqJug/видео.html We were also confused. It is not about the batteries, it is about the air conditioner. The new quieter Truma AC is longer front-to-back than the louder AC units that Pleasure-way has installed in the past. We were told that due to the support structure of the 2.0 chassis and its minimal roof space, the placement of the Truma towards the back would cause the AC unit to stick out 3-4 inches or so past the back of the van. Placing the Truma in front of the internal supports causes the AC cowling inside the van to block the bathroom door so it can’t be opened. Since neither placement works, Pleasure-Way is continuing to install the louder AC unit in the 2.0. This louder AC unit will run just fine off of the 600 Ah of batteries. Just louder. As a side note, I want to mention that the louder AC unit does a terrific job of quickly cooling the RV. It moves a lot of air. It is just hard to have a conversation underneath it when it is running. When we trade-in our 2021.5 OnTour 2.0, Fretz is going to remove our Houghton AC from the 2021.5 and place it onto our 2024 OnTour 2.0, and place the AC from the 2024 onto the 2021.5. So we will have our quieter Houghton AC with the 2024 and it’s 600 Ah of batteries and 3000W inverter. Our Houghton is 120v, as is the louder AC. I do not know if any of the AC’s mentioned above utilize a ‘soft start’.

We have been very happy with its service.
The wood that was used for the shelves was 1/2 birch plywood. I got the wood from Home Depot. This is very stable wood with a nice two sided sanded surface for easy finishing. Use a high tooth count plywood blade to reduce edge splintering when cutting.

Nice mods. I have a 2020 Ford Transit MR, 148” WB DIY camper van.
I’m a little younger than you and I couldn’t deal with tearing down and putting my bed together every night.
I put a fixed bed that enables me to sleep east to west.
I also put L track in my van. US cargo control has an assortment of different fittings. A bit pricey, but it helps enable organization.
I also installed L track in the ceiling,
above my bed. I attached a heavy duty O ring that acts as a grab ring. It helps me lift up and back in bed.
I installed some above my back windows. I hang a Molle panel with zippered storage bags.
Are the floor Smartliner’s rubber? I own a 1 piece from Husky and I find it to be slippery.

Thank you Jim. These videos below will give you an idea of the noise a class B RV . A Class A owner commented that the class B cabin noise is quieter compared to a class A RV. We put pads in between pots, pans, appliances that would rattle. If you winterize your RV, you can use the RV like any vehicle. You can flush the toilet with pink anti-freeze. We have seen Pleasure-Way owners who live in the northern part of the USA who would camp in the Winter. The Truma furnace which runs on propane gives a very nice heat.

Great video on storage ideas.! I wanted to ask a question about your video from the Hershey show. I know that the lithium has increased to 600 Ah.On the ontour 2.0 they said they can't use the new efficient and quiter Truma ac and have kept the 120v Dometic. So you still can't run the ac on lithium However, one of the PW reps mentioned to you and David you could switch and use your current ac (? Houghton- I saw your video on that mod). You could now run it on lithium.
I am confused. Is your current Houghton ac 12v or 120v? Would Fretz have to modify wiring on your 2024 ontour 2.0?. Lastly, I know some rvr`s install "soft start" or easy start on ac unit that slowly kicks on ac so it doesn't require "spike" in voltage to start.
I am interested in purchasing the ontour 2.0, but want to run ac on lithium. My other option was to consider putting in 12v ac. Any suggestions would be helpful. Thanks,

We were also confused. It is not about the batteries, it is about the air conditioner.
The new quieter Truma AC is longer front-to-back than the louder AC units that Pleasure-way has installed in the past. We were told that due to the support structure of the 2.0 chassis and its minimal roof space, the placement of the Truma towards the back would cause the AC unit to stick out 3-4 inches or so past the back of the van. Placing the Truma in front of the internal supports causes the AC cowling inside the van to block the bathroom door so it can’t be opened. Since neither placement works, Pleasure-Way is continuing to install the louder AC unit in the 2.0. This louder AC unit will run just fine off of the 600 Ah of batteries. Just louder.
As a side note, I want to mention that the louder AC unit does a terrific job of quickly cooling the RV. It moves a lot of air. It is just hard to have a conversation underneath it when it is running.
When we trade-in our 2021.5 OnTour 2.0, Fretz is going to remove our Houghton AC from the 2021.5 and place it onto our 2024 OnTour 2.0, and place the AC from the 2024 onto the 2021.5. So we will have our quieter Houghton AC with the 2024 and it’s 600 Ah of batteries and 3000W inverter. Our Houghton is 120v, as is the louder AC.
I do not know if any of the AC’s mentioned above utilize a ‘soft start’.

Visible has unlimited data, with no throttling. It does experience slow-downs on occasions of heavy traffic. This usually occurs for us around 4-8pm daily. Even when slowed down, however, we usually still get 5-10Mb download speed. We have the $35/month plan. Its hotspot capability is limited to 5Mb down, and a single device connected at a time.

2. Starlink.

We also have an ATT plan, which has 100GB down, throttled after that amount. This is our backup connection, is case we have issues with Visible and Starlink.
I work remotely, so it is important to have multiple ways to connect to the internet. This may be overkill for more casual usage. If you have to choose just one, go with Visible. We have been very happy with its service.
What kind and size wood is used to create the shelves inside the overhead cabinets?

The wood that was used for the shelves was 1/2 birch plywood. I got the wood from Home Depot. This is very stable wood with a nice two sided sanded surface for easy finishing. Use a high tooth count plywood blade to reduce edge splintering when cutting.
