  • International Oil Companies, IOCs, operating in Nigeria, seek to undermine the operations and profit margins of Africa's largest refinery, Dangote, by asking for high premiums for domestically produced crude oil.
A senior official of the refinery made the assertion while addressing the media.
The Vice President of Dangote Industries Limited, Devakumar Edwin adds that while the Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission is trying its best to allocate crude oil to Dangote Refinery, the IOCs are willfully frustrating their efforts.

The problems of petroleum refining in Nigeria and all Nigeria’s problems are just coming to the forefront. The military leaders and all their oil well allottees and benefactors- the cabal are the problem with our refining and hence our progress. They are all in agreement not to let Nigeria benefit from the resources of that country . They want it for themselves to keep them in Power over Nigeria.
Nigerians should wake up and take the country back from these people ..They do not like what the Tinubu government is doing , he’s perceived as having duped them into believing he is one of them but now is quietly dismantling dismantling the gargantuan edifice that they have constructed to capture the soul and spirit of the Nigerian people .This fight against the old military leaders / Cabal of people has been going on during Buhari’s time and now they are aiming to return to power through Atiku who is one of their people . Nigerians should wake up . This only the beginning of the fight against the stranglehold of these oligarchs on the life of Nigerians .

There is no way we should allow traitors amongst us to destroy the good thing going on. Dangote and his likes, should have priority over foreign powers or business entities. The whole Africa has been waiting for this. We, the people should unite and lend our voices to this struggle. Nigeria and Africa should be self reliance. That is his objective. May God help and see him through.

It's now obvious, that, the same forces, hindering our refineries from working, are the ones against Dangote refinery now, I strongly believe there are people ( within/without) benefiting from the sufferings of Nigerians. Some of these people have their own refinery outside Nigeria, making hell of money from the travails of our country. President Tinubu should take the bulls by the horn & help us.

I enjoyed the conversation and the angle from which the analysts looked at the issues. However, ending the conversation with "God will not allow them" is wrong. Amidst the conversation, they called on the president to take actionable steps to nip in the bud the sinister role of IOC in Nigeria, which is the right thing to do, but ending the conversation with "God will not allow them," signals the president and other in charge that the ball is no longer in their court.
We cannot shift our responsibility to God. Nigeria's problem is within us, and until we realize this and prepare to engage in all it takes to resolve it, the problem will persist.
While God has His role to play in all things, we must learn to strive to do our part first and wait for God, not expecting God to do everything for us.

For many years some of us have been sounding the warning regarding the destructive activities of some Nigerians who are colluding with foreign agents in Nigeria. What is the work of this joint efforts in Nigeria? Their work is simply to keep Nigerian down economically to the level the country becomes ungovernable, a level that would seem as self destruction. Right now we are not far from the position. The long arms of western countries' intelligences led by US NED (National Endowment for Democracy) and USAID (United States for International Development) are at work in Nigeria. Some Nigerian journalists are directly recruited into this mould while others are indirect participants. Think of what is happening in the electric generation and distribution. Next think of what is holding back molten steel production in Nigeria. Nigerians must wake up and fight for their survival.

Supply boats and other services are charged in Dollars. How do you expect the investors to sell their investments in Naira?
