I met Twiggs in Houston while he was working with The Dreggs, he was a super nice guy. He was also very proud of working with the Allmans Brothers. Duane had either left him or just gave him his dark burst Les Paul which had " Duane" carved on the back of the guitar. That night the band I was playing in, all had our pictures taken holding that famous Les Paul. I have a music page on Reverbnation and use that picture as my front page welcome picture, Reverbnation has suggested I update the picture, but they just don't know what that picture means to me.

Twiggs also made sure Duanes daughter inherited one of Duanes favorite guitars. He traded Gregg a nice hot rod for it. Says alot about his character. R I P Twiggs. edit Eerily, not long after Twiggs death, Gregg received a manila envelope in the mail. Enclosed was a 8 X 10 pic of Twiggs wearing his skydiving gear with his back to the camera walking to a wooded area. It freaked Allman out, rightfully so. He never found out who sent it.
