    In our latest Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim video we delve into Hircine.
    The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim is an open world action role-playing video game developed by Bethesda Game Studios and published by Bethesda Softworks. It is the fifth main installment in The Elder Scrolls series, following The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, and was released worldwide for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on November 11, 2011.
    The game's main story revolves around the player character and their quest to defeat Alduin the World-Eater, a dragon who is prophesied to destroy the world. The videogame is set two hundred years after the events of Oblivion, and takes place in the fictional province of Skyrim. Over the course of the game, the player completes quests and develops the character by improving skills. The game continues the open world tradition of its predecessors by allowing the player to travel anywhere in the game world at any time, and to ignore or postpone the main storyline indefinitely.

    • @duplicitouscanadian3073
      @duplicitouscanadian3073 Год назад +25

      If I recall correctly, Azura and Kynareth helped Hircine with his revenge of Nirni's death. Although Azura was involved, she decided to involve herself more with the emerging mer races, specifically the Dunmer. This left the dying form of Nirni to drain of all remaining life, until Kynareth and Hircine interrupted. Iffir, the God that killed Nirni had created much of the wildlife that was and remains part of Nirni, or Nirn. With his corruption, so to were his creations, so, Hircine and Kynareth siphoned away all of his power, using some of it to stabilize the existence of Nirn, while maintaining both the savage and tranquil sides of nature.
      Basically, Kynareth and Hircine are two adoptive co parents.....who are actually functional.

    • @papanurgle8393
      @papanurgle8393 5 лет назад +195

      Jyggalag kept invading them and trying to enslave them though,
      It's like choosing between living in a building with a landlord that's a literal cartel boss who frequently extorts you for money, beats you up, threatens to kill you or your family and just uses your house and property as if it was his
      OR
      Being in a poorly administered complex with your own space, lax rent and cheap electric bill, but having an unstable mentality impaired meth addict that loudly chews on stucco at 3 am living above you, who MIGHT occasionally take a dump in the hallway.
      Now I'm not saying that the meth addict is a charming fellow, but at least he won't try to sell your organs or use you as a drug mule.

    • @papanurgle8393
      @papanurgle8393 5 лет назад +37

      @Alexandru Guzzonato There's almost no lore about Jyggalag, the majority of these videos and what we can say for certain about him is near nonexistant, but I'd say he had to be doing some pretty serious stuff to have all the other Princes co-operate on something.
      The big question that comes up is how exactly he expanded his territory, we have nearly no information about that.
      My take is that he invaded and subjugated other realms (some Princes have multiple smaller realms like Sanguine and others are just ripe for the picking) which pushed them to act as he would in time subsume all. He may never have gotten around to invading the realms of princes but other powers hold sway in Oblivion with their own realms, who are used by others all the time.
      We know some Daedra are no strangers to war and conquest (Mehrunes Dagon and Molag Bal for example) and given the nature of Greymarch it's clear he was no stranger to it either.
      Greymarch itself actually gives credence to this; the Knights of Order are aware that an external force has invaded their realm, which tells me Daedra can and do pull shit like sometimes.
      If they did it on Nirn, why not to each other in Oblivion? What happened during the Oblivion Crisis could realistically occur between rival Daedric Planes.
      The nature of his Daedra also leads me to believe they are more than strange, as they seem to be "blank" or washed out husks with no individual will or direction.
      We have a pretty clear picture of Divine nature in that Daedric Princes and Gods can't really "Die" in the typical sense, but they can be warped into something completely different (Trinimac into Malacath). It stands to reason that the Princes were scared of being turned, losing themselves and falling under the heel of ultimate order (a concept tied with Anu) much like his blank knights.
      Lastly, I'd call into question his own statements, which form the basis of almost all of the concrete lore surrounding him.
      His own narrative and perspective paints him as a relatively benign victim of jealous rivals, but how accurate is that really? Even the kindest and most passive of Princes do some messed up shit, somehow I doubt he'd be an exception.

    Hircine is very similar to the Celtic god Cernunnos a humanoid deer a wild god the hunter and protector of the wild things. To disrespect his domain and creatures is to know nature's wrath. The arrogant is who he hunts both man fairy and gods. The wild hunt is Cernunnos day you will hunt or become a beast to hunt. Like I said very very similar I liked the video.

    Really hope you read this, but since nothing is confirmed for es6 such as it's location, I think there was another hint in skyrim telling you where it is... ya know when the redguards show up looking for that girl? Well they want to take her back to hammerfell, where she committed treason selling out a city to the dominion. There's a lot of small tid bits of info that I feel are there actually about the next game. One being hammerfell and the other where he talks that about the resistance against the dominion is alive and strong in hammerfell.
    Now we have almost the same encounter and hint on fallout 3 about fallout 4s location and plot. You get contacted by the institute, to return a synth to him so he can take it back to the commonwealth, and then the railroad wants you to help him escape from him. This is basically half of the main plot in fallout 4.
    Now obviously this is speculation since nothing is confirmed, but I truly believe this was hinted for a reason. 90% after the teaser we got shows hammerfell, I just believe this is the icing on the cake.
    Like if you read this entire comment.

    I know how to kill Sheggorath's bird. The Daedroth lost because Daedroths have no intelligence, just mindless rage beings. A human werewolf could've taken the bird. Now the catch here is that I as my human werewolf character still couldn't kill it with tooth and claw either. You see, it's not a trial by combat, nor is it a hunt. Sheggorath loves puzzles that toy with the mind of his enemies, and that's what the bird is. My strategy is a grueling and unpleasant process,just how Sheggorath would want it, but it's the only way I can see to guarantee victory. Gorge yourself before the fight, and when the bird lands on your nose, wait. lie down immobile and wait. a human being starves to death in 25- 35 days. A bird however, (at least the class of bird described in the lore, not large birds of prey) starves to death in a mere 2 to 3. You'll have to starve yourself for 3 days, but in the end victory is yours.

    • @hakasek4052
      @hakasek4052 6 лет назад +12

      Careful with the glue though, if it cures early that's a nightmare to get out of your hair. If it does work though just swat the bird like a mosquito no need for starvation. I was also thinking you could lie still like a scarecrow, but with your jaws open. I've seen people catch birds by scarecrow posing before, but if it happens to land in your mouth as a werewolf, yomp.

      I even have to disagree with his realm being nice. If you aren't 1000% on-board with Hircine's hunt, then being stuck in the hunting grounds for eternity would suck. No love, no art, no relaxation, just hunting.
      I would much prefer the sands behind the stars, Llesw'er. Reconvening with loved ones, infinite sweets that never give you toothache or make you fat, and an on-going party that you can go to or come from at will.

    I'm playing two modded out files right now. One is a Altmer Werewolf character with Growl and Moonlight Tales of course amongst hundreds of other mods. All lore friendly if course. The Altmer Werewolf character is a Arcane Warrior. Two handed and different schools of magic. (Thank you Fudgemuppet for the build). The Alrmer Werewolf is blonde which is freaking awsome. My other file is a Dunmer Vampire Lord who in my backstory used to be a warrior of House Redoran. I have this mod called Divergence that adds the red cloth with the Bonemold armor (only obtainable from the captain of the redoran guard in Solstheim). But anyway the red cloths on the waist and red sash/scarf? On the neck area along with the Daedra writing on the neck piece of the armor makes that dude look freaking badass. The Dunmer is a battlemage who uses all elements and relies more on the Destruction, Alteration, Illusion, and Conjuration skills and uses his shield and Mace or sword more as a secondary. The Altmer has all mage skills, Archery, Light armor, and Two Handed. The armor I use is the really cool looking Leather Armor from Simple armors by Nordwar, As well as the really good looking Elven armor and Glass armor from divergence and Amidianborn.

      I wouldn't, seems painful and not really useful (unless you want to go on killing sprees), you also become the eternal servant of Hircine.
      However if I didn't have a choice then I guess I could live with it.

    Hircine is probably my second favorite Deadra, just for inventing werewolves.
    Speaking of which, my first fave, Boethiah, is not above underhanded murder as you claim. Sure he she enjoys single combat, but so long as one grows strong as another dies, Boethiah is pleased. Whether that be through a noble sword, poisonous dagger, silver tongue, magical spell or far arrow. That's why she sends you to HUNT DOWN and ASSASSINATE her former champion. Her realms of influence are, after all, "deceit, conspiracy, secret plots of murder, assassination, treason, and unlawful overthrow of authority"

    You said Hircine isn't a trickster, but through the glenmora witches he tricked the companions into becoming lycans, and half of hunting is tricky by its nature. Lay out some food, and a trap and wait for an animal to fall for it.

    • @edwinbasa2804

      The Glenmoril witches tricked the Companions not Hircine, you even have a quest that kills them. Not gonna say much because Spoilers.

      Because the glemoril witches had used trickery Hircine allow you to hunt them down it may have just taken a lot of Circle members to realize this. becuase Hircine doesnt help them in anyway when you come Teeth and claws Slashing.

    You literally venture into the Hunting Grounds in ESO. You get up close and personal with it's environments and creatures. Yet you just show scenes from the Hircine quest that took place in Skyrim. Why do you guys still refuse to use footage from ESO? The game is 100% canon.

    Hey the whole stand your ground part if Hircine DOES work in real life. I was charged at by my old neighbors dog when I was 12. It was a chow mix and I was terrified to say the least. But I just kept repeating in my head "don't move" and screamed bloody murder for help. Luckily they owners were home and the dog cane as soon as it was called.
    There's truth in stories.
    Also there was another but I knew the other dog and he just ran around like a goof. 😅

    Hircine has 2 amulets not just the spear, ring and hide. He has 5 daedric artifacts possibly more(maybe more than that if you include the rings in solstheim during the 4th era) and those 3 totems you get from the quests from aela. (making it 8 but over 10 if you include the rings)
    Hunter's amulet of strength and Hunter's amulet of speed obtained in morrowind during the bloodmoon quest.
