I'm guilty of binge watching on RUclips. I rarely do netflix and Instagram minimally, but it didn't really help much because all that time goes into youtube. But I tell myself since I'm a creator, I cant help it. Im going to take more responsibility for my time

My eyes are rotting right now so I really appreciate how timely this video is for me. I installed an appblock before, where I could specify how much time I'm allowed to use it or how many times i could open it. It worked for a day or 2 and then i stopped using it altogether lol i kinda hate myself for always gratifying my pleasures. I'd activate it again today.
I hide all the apps and keep only calls, messages and few work apps on my mobile home screen. Uninstalled all apps like shopping, entertainment from mobile and kept only on my iPad. I try to not touch iPad through out the week but only on weekends so that I don't go in the online rabbit hole. I think it's time to uninstall RUclips from mobile...but its so hard to do as I love RUclips😅

I've been suffering from anxiety for over a year, I haven't been able to go to sleep without my computer for a very long time. I'm starting now and I must recognize it's being hard but I hope with practice will be easier and my sleep will improve 🙏😌
I just uninstalled Facebook and Instagram because I was getting really attached to it. I watch RUclips to learn. I am studying for AAMA Exam to be certified in Medical Assisting. So, it was good that I uninstalled the social media.
Thank you so much for this video! I have been using almost the exact same approach with RUclips. I only have the app on my iPad and during the week I turn it off or let the battery run out and I put it totally out of sight. It is tempting sometimes but I have found myself having more pleasant evenings and I am sleeping better without the blue light exposure. It is difficult learning how to peacefully coexist with all this stimulation - I am rooting for you!

There’s this feature on iphone where you can set the time for each app. I set it for 5 minutes and It definitely decreased my mindless scrolling. For watching shows, I do multi-tasking! I set 30mins for showering and 1hr for meal time and I watch my shows during those times.
This is a nice video! And also to add up, y’all can watch *The Social Dilemma* on Netflix :) It was really an eye opener how social media eats us up. I’m slowly changing my social media consumption by reading books instead ;)

I don’t have issue with instagram, since I don’t really have any interest to see my friends regular activities.. i guess i only spend maximum 15 minutes on it... but on youtube i think i spend more than 4 hour a day..

As u have pcos it is better avoid white sugar and all purpose flour for your health instead use jaggery cocnut sugar and wheat flour. I hope you don't feel bad because even I'm suffering with it that's why I'm advising you to use these things @simple Victoria
When you say you are in quarantine,is it self imposed or government ordered? I often find that my stress levels are significantly impacted when I have more control over the decisions that I am allowed to make when going out ( grocery shopping, the library, etc ) and find it hard to draw the line between need and want.
Thank you for this! However, I got fully shocked when you said you only allow yourself 1.5 hrs of youtube time on Sundays and already thinking that it is too much! I think I watch at least an hour a day :/ haha. But I'll try my best to improve. :)
Hi! the same happened to me, I had a daily one hour of use before. I am trying to change that. Since I am more mindful, I choose the videos with a lot of care. And then, an hour and a half seems like a good amount of time. nevertheless, why don´t you try to find the amount of time that best works for you?❤️

I did not use any extension or download any other app!! Please just google how to do it, cause it is hard to explain but super easy to implement.😊 ❤️

yes i was about to say so too, you can go to the settings>apps> choose the app u want and click disable

You can disable it though
You can limit time for RUclips using Android wellbeing settings.

The thing is I can see how much time I spend on my phone according to apps but what can I do for a windows laptop?How do I track time there and how do I know how long I’ve spent on each app?
