You shot the slingshot too close! when the band hits the cans or the clays it is losing momentum and killing the force of the shot.
That's what I was thinking, I think if he shot from farther away the slingshot would've done better
I noticed that right away. I have a homemade oak y shaped slingshot, with gold theraband rubber. It's no joke and would kill small to mid size animals. Slingshot channel got me hooked on them. The store bought don't even stand a chance to a good homemade one.

@@joeygauthier8977 With the blue pouch on a 100+ F day will sling a 3/8" BB right through 3/4" particle board. The black pouch doesn't even sling a 38 cal BB hard enough to stick into the same board, bouncing right off. Leaves an indention about half to 3/4 of the BB.

on the cans the exit hole is always going to be bigger than the entrance the hole the bearing went in was the small hole and out the big one
On unpressurized cans I would 100% agree, but since the cans were slightly pressurized it might have "popped" and made a large entrance instead of exit. But I'm not entirely sure

In defense of the pocket shot... there are 3 different “balloons” with 3 different power settings (you were using the weakest one). I also noticed that the pocket shot was shot from chest/belly height compared to the slingshot being shot from shoulder height (big difference in accuracy). Holding the pocket shot just like a slingshot yields more accuracy AND power... just my experience with both!

I think using the block of gel for this would make a great tie breaker for the power test, imo. Great video though, very enjoyable.
Ballistics gel is pretty cheap. I'm surprised he doesn't have any by now.

My dad worked as a machinist while i was a kid and he used to bring me home 3/4 inch steel ball bearings for slingshot ammo, they fly much slower than 3/8 inch ones but hit way harder.
I believe the blue spare pocket shot diaphragm is the high power diaphragm

I enjoyed watching this so much that I even want another video test between the two like more accuracy tests maybe. Or between a more expensive pocket shot vs that one in this video and a more expensive slingshot vs this one. Or even just cheaper ones. I don’t know if it truly makes a difference if you get more expensive or cheaper ones?

I've seen some people use that pocket shot like a damn pro, and hit everything on a dime. Just takes practice... But what's cool about the pocketshot is you can carry it so easily in a small pocket. Neato mosquito
The entrance hole is always the small one. If you notice how the big hole is all split outwards, that’s where the bb is coming out of the can
For your accuracy test, you have a decent grouping for both. I'd say with practice they can both be reliable and accurate. But yes the sling shot looks better with its grouping being tighter.
Your power test with the liquid is just bad. The soda (liquid) will skew your results a ton since it can/will change the trajectory. You need something more like a ballistics gel.
I’ve had that slingshot and it kept coming apart. Just an fyi, you should’ve wore safety glasses for the whole test. 😉 keep up the good videos.

You can find knock off versions of this Daisy slingshot in lots of souvenir or knife shops
It's a common sight at flea markets
The frame is significantly cheaper feeling on the fake ones
They also use some cheaper tubing that isn't as powerful or made to last as long

You should invest in a slow-motion camera. Nothing crazy or super high tech. But something simple. It would make videos like this be so much more interesting to watch. Either way, keep up the good work!
The band from the daisy sling shot because you have it against the table is hitting the cans causing it to lose speed. That’s why it’s only going through two cans

The other rubber piece that came with the Pocket Shot is actually supposed to be more powerful.
I’d probably go Pocket Shot for recreational plinking around camp just because of the lesser storage requirement. Couple it with a pepper ball and it’s a pretty effective non-lethal self-defense weapon.
