    PLEASE do not leave a comment telling me I am applying this wrong. I have seen plenty of these "artists" apply it just like I did, so I will take those comments as being angry that I don't share your same opinion on these products, not constructive criticism on application. If $250 worth of makeup has to be applied one certain way to work, I don't want it anyways. Also, any sellers that hijack the comments trying to convince others that state they don't like it that they need to try again because it's the best thing since sliced bread, you will be blocked. We are ALL allowed our opinions, and what works for you may not work for others and vice versa. After all....it's JUST MAKEUP! Have a great day!

      You are applying this wrong!!!! Lol just kidding 😁, I’ve never used this stuff nor had any interest, you looked very lovely in the products, as you do in your other makeup as well. I’m personally not an Mlm fan myself as I see a lot of these companies exploiting hard working women making promises of freedom and lifestyle, they don’t deliver to most, but that’s just my personal opinion each to their own 😊. Thank you for the video it was nice to receive an unbiased opinion.

      The backlash is because many MLM reps are subject to indoctrination and many experts consider them a commercial cult. It’s hard to have a rational conversation with someone who is subject to undo influence and their whole life is consumed by their “business”.

      As someone who HAS bitten the MLM apple, AND disliked it, I have to say it’s a NO WIN for those people selling it, IMHO.
      In order to recuperate the money spent on inventory I felt like I had to sell it hard and I didn’t like doing that. I also decided I didn’t want to spend my free time pursuing a business. That is so competitive, it’s almost like trying to sell jewelry on Etsy , you’re a very small fish and a very big ocean for this reason I think most MLM suck and I don’t want to support them. It’s also much harder for independent sellers with MLM companies because there’s so many other places people can buy make up.

      I also do not sell it & I have used it (not exclusively) since the first version launched. ( buy direct online -no ‘artist’ )I liked it because creams work better for me, and because it was the only place I could find a contour color that worked for me (that has since changed.) I do still use Bobbi Brown under eye corrector & I don’t like the blushes. I also like to have a few face shades to get my perfect shade-it is easier to do that with creams than powders. I have never tried the eye shadows - they seem expensive.

    Preach! This is the review I needed! I feel like I’m struggling with it and everyone else out there on SM seems to think it’s amazing. I was just in another video venting about my issues with these products and you pretty well covered all my thoughts. I do NOT like the marketing of being told I’m too old to use certain products (I’m 42 also), nor the scare tactics I see some use to say the ingredients in other brands are “toxic.” And the kicker, if I’m having an issue with a product, it’s not the product but user error. 🤨 I told my rep that I shouldn’t have to be a Seint “artist” to be able to make it (particularly Demi) work. I have been experimenting with Demi for months with all different peachy undereye shades and I just cannot get the coverage level of my other concealers. I literally have bruises under my eyes so I need the confidence of feeling like I have the best coverage possible. I don’t get that with Demi. I heard a Seint artist say, “well you might have to sacrifice coverage if you don’t want to look older.” I dunno, when I used Demi or IIID, I think it looked pretty bad either way. Okay, I’ll stop. I could literally go on forever about this. 😂

      @@AnitasLoveifyBut even applying it with a super light strokes it simply doesn't neutralize or camouflage my dark purple circles. So I tried adding light layers to get more coverage and wound up looking like a 99 y/o woman. If a $6 drug store corrector applies and blends easier and covers better than a $20 corrector there's a problem with the product not working for everyone especially those of us with very dry mature undereyes. No makeup can work on everyone. I shouldn't have to bend over backwards to get something to work or look good. I tried and tried until conveniently the window of opportunity to return them had passed. I'd be happy to send them to you for half what I paid since they work for you.

    So I totally caved and bought this makeup. Bought with my own money, I am not affiliated with seint in anyway shape or form, however after seeing this all over the place for so long I just had to give it a go. I purchased the No. 8 palette collection, in level 3 which comes with (according to the site) 3 highlights, 1 contour, 1 bronzer, 2 lips + blush, 1 illuminator and their standard double sided brush. It ended up being about $175 I think. This palette literally arrived today and I tried it immediately once I got home from work, and honestly I have zero real complaints. It blends beautifully, it’s full coverage but doesn’t feel like a mask, doesn’t transfer and has a gorgeous shiny dewy finish to it (without feeling wet) that I just love. Definitely requires setting spray to seal the deal however all in all I’m very impressed. The lips are eh, but work brilliantly for blush instead. The only real downside I’ve found is that the brush it came with is kinda crappy in my opinion and absorbs a lot of product. I didn’t buy the brush separately it just came with the palette so I’m not complaining. I’ve never been really good at makeup so ig it could be that maybe I’m just not too picky at all, but I think it looks great and am definitely planning to pursue making this my daily full face. HOWEVER, I do have naturally really dry skin and this is a really dewy makeup when first applied so I could totally see how if you have more oily skin that this makeup may not work as well.
    Of course I say all of this from FIRST IMPRESSION! Tomorrow I’ll be really putting this potentially new full face to the test when I wear it to work (I have a 10 hour shift tomorrow so this will be a good opportunity to test its longevity) and if anything ends up changing my mind I’ll comment a follow up underneath this post.

    I wasted a ton of money on Seint myself. And the consultant was rude to me when I kept telling her that the Demi correctors that I bought specifically for my undereyes not only werent correcting or neutralizing my dark purple circles, it is dry wax so it sucked any moisture out of my already dry undereyes and made my wrinkles look like the crypt keeper. She said then youre using the wrong eye cream and applying too much. She recommended a $90 eye cream and said this makeup doesnt work well with products that contain silicones. When I pointed out to her that the eye cream she recommended had dimithecone in it she then had a ridiculous excuse. I sent pics of how bad my undereyes looked with Demi and she kept saying I mustve applied it wrong so I asked if we could do a video/FaceTime session to figure out what she thought I was doing wrong and she refused. She made me believe there was something wrong with me and that nobody else has struggled with Demi looking awful under their eyes and then tried to tell me I bought the wrong colors and need x color now and thats why the colors werent camoflauging or concealing my undereyes. Yet I bought the demi shades she told me to get! And she conveniently disappeared when I told her I wanted to return them. She kept making me practice more and by the time she stopped responding it was past the return period. I was able to use the cream products but not with the demi brushes she had me buy. They are too soft to pick up any cream or blend. I told her even drugstore corrector and concealer covers my dark circles better and looks less aging than this stuff. Anyone else with dry aging mature skin and dark purple wrinkled undereyes have the same problem? Using less product didnt cover anything. It doesnt work on textured undereyes.

    The biggest bone of contention I have with Seint makeup is that it’s made in China. It used to be made here but production was cheaper in China so they moved their production there as of 2021. Two other brands I will not support/purchase from because they’re both made in China are e.l.f. and Danessa Myrick. It’s strictly a humanitarian issue for me and it should be for others as well. To say you support “cruelty free” products knowing how the Chinese Communist Party brutalizes their own people in ways that we went to war over in WWII is basically being a hypocrite. Do what’s right ladies… karma’s a bitch. End of rant.

      I agree with you 💯 and I also do not support Danessa Myrick makeup because it’s made in China. I look at labels and try to avoid made in China when possible. I like to support as many companies that make products in the USA even if I pay more for them.

      @@OceanluvOC thanks, sometimes I feel like an oddball and wonder, doesn’t this bother anyone else but me, so I appreciate your comment. I won’t shop at Walmart or Target because over 70% of their products come from China even the brand Better Homes and Gardens. Hopefully more people will start reading labels again like they used 20 and 30 years ago. With online purchasing Amazon at least has the “country of origin” listed in the product details category.
      Edit: I take back my last statement in that now the country of origin shows “imported.” Way to go Amazon.

    • @susanbowman3865
      @susanbowman3865 2 года назад +14

      @@christinescott5002 does that matter? To me, any company that moves their production from the USA to China after they become popular since production costs are lower which means they can make higher profits is a company I won’t do business with. But that’s just me.

    • @christinescott5002
      @christinescott5002 2 года назад +6

      @@susanbowman3865 I am merely asking for clarification. Some people care, some don’t. Some care about possible quality control and US job creation issues, some care about the human rights issues. Many higher end companies also produce their products in China- IT Cosmetics, Urban Decay, ABH, Eve Pearl, Tarte, etc. It has unfortunately become more cost effective to produce some products like eyeshadows over there. Sometimes consumers pick and choose from a variety of products made outside China.

    Luckily, at age 74, I have really smooth (zero textured) skin with no sun spots and almost no wrinkles, so the Demi works really well for me under my eyes, on the sides of my nose (for a bit of slight redness) and for a few tiny (almost negligible) sun spots.
    Using one color under eye concealer is just too much makeup for me personally.
    I do not need an all over concealer, the reason I prefer the Demi color correctors.
    I can see how the Demi color correctors would not be enough coverage for a lot of women, but it works perfectly for me. I do not sell the Demi - I simply use it.

I personally use the SEINT products, but primarily the bronzers, and the DEMI ones, I am not a fan anymore of the full face of makeup(even the “full face look of SEINT) at 47 I just feel traditional makeups make me look older, plus I have worked so hard on my skin, and I love showing my skin. I use the DEMI with a tinted moisturizer from France. I get more compliments on my skin now more than ever. I understand some do not like it, and it’s not for everyone that’s for sure, as many other brands of makeup lines aren’t for everyone. I love Seint also...I was happily using Jane Iredale for decades, and then at 65 I didn't care for powder makeup on me anymore, and then JI changed the formula of my beloved Glow Time, now I hate it. I bought SOO many foundations and I happened upon Seint through a RUclips on Mature Makeup. There was indeed a learning curve, but I soon grew to love it, and now I enjoy makeup again, having so much fun! I found I love the original "HAC", using contour, a brightening highlight in the center of my face, and cheek color. Maybe illuminator for fancy. :). I use the contour as crease eyeshadow, Demi under my eyes, and a dark Demi as eyeliner! What is missing in this review is how awesome it is to have ALL my makeup (except mascara) in ONE palette, with colors I choose for myself. That, and the idea of highlight and contour is what drew me to Seint.

    I got sucker into this! Not going to lie, It was fun to play with the dots all over my face, but in the end I wasn’t to impressed. I only like the blushes, I want more colors actually, I hated the contour, the consistency it’s so dry, the foundation color is the worse, it smells bad. The brushes are over priced, I used my brush from Huda. I agree with you, I have better makeup, nothing compares to my teint idole stick foundation. Great video Mandy!!!

    Oh my God, MLM's and their ridiculous, hilarious prices...!!!!I
    They always make me LMFAO because of the reasoning behind the prices. Although it's one sad, pathetic reason: the whole upline has to be compensated and than the whole other group of people. It's insane!
    You've done an amazing job. Maybe even saving some poor soul of being tricked to join and "being their own boss", "having the company of their own"...
    I cannot remember all of their hollow promises and culty rhetoric.
    Btw, you're a brilliant MUA. I'm currently binge watching your videos 👌

    The Demi corrector is my absolute favorite on my very dark, crapey under eye area. It has improved my wrinkles. It’s only meant to correct and I use Catrice Brightener over it.

    I had a whole online cart full of seint products to order....and then realized there is lanolin in the base products and demi color correctors. Unfortunately I'm severely allergic to lanolin so unless there's a dupe out there without it, I will be steering clear. Of course, my allergy also certainly saved me a ton of money from not ordering, lol

      If you want to try cream makeup you can take a look at the ELF cream contour palette, I’m just not sure if it has lanolin 😅

    Thank you so much. I jumped on the bandwagon and bought some products. I will use up the tins I have and will not re-buy. Everything you said is true, however, it does not stay on my skin like my other favourite liquid, powder and yes other cream products that have been out there for many years that work just fine.

    I'm 70 and use liquid and powders. Granted I prep my skin differently for each. I do not have much luck with most creams. They end up cakey. I use what works for me, not what someone tells me I'm supposed to use. I'm not big in to "supposed to" LOL Not interested in this brand at all.

    Two other ingredients besides the beeswax that would cuase it not to be vegan would be carmine (beetles) and lanolin (sheep's wool). If you have a wool allergy, I wonder if that would also be problematic. I really love the concept of the product, especially the portability and sustainability, but I wasn't so thrilled about the foundation itself. Like you, I love the Lancôme Teint Idôle Foundation stick: swipe, swipe, swipe, and even blend with my fingers and it's done! Thanks to you I have enjoyed the Jane Iredale. Love it, especially in the hot, humid, Texas weather.

    Demi is not for everyone but respectfully, you are using it as a concealer. It is color correcting color, it is not meant for coverage. It simply cancels color, you ONLY put it where you have dark colors. You are using this like a traditional concealer. Trust me, it took half a dozen attempts for it to work for me and I’m a 25 yr pro mua. Just wanting to explain❤

    • @MandyDavisMUA
      @MandyDavisMUA  2 года назад +1

      Hi there. I tried it more than a half dozen times, and I am using it as a corrector. I have darkness everywhere I put it and used an actual concealer on top if you saw. I am aware how to use a corrector. I think it is AOK for something not to work for me that works for others. I can think of that being a case for many products. It just didn’t work for me, no matter how I used it. Glad you love it!
