    I love Seint make up even on my dry chemo ravaged skin. I was perfectly colour matched by Sarah (The Contoured Chemist ) and the final step of using a beauty blender is essential to look natural . Less is more ! I’ve now thrown away my other foundations including luxury . We all like different cosmetics ,thank goodness we have lots of options .😀

    This makeup has a learning curve, but I absolutely love it. Prep is important and staying away from silicone products is must. I’m 56 and it has been like second skin for me. Their brushes are important to me. The made for cream makeup and I absolutely love them. Everyone’s likes and dislikes are not the same. Everyone’s skin is not the same. I appreciate honesty. Thank you

      The problem is the prep takes too long as well. I like to use my vitamin C, my serum and then my moisturizer and for this to even work with that you have to let it sit in for like 30 minutes to wear you don’t even feel like you have skin care on your face anymore. Who has time for that. It does not become one with the skin unless you don’t use anything underneath it. You can’t use oil, you can’t use silicone and you can’t use moisturizer because most of them that with your skin need have some sort of emollient that does not work well with Seint make up. I’ve been wearing foundation since I was 16 years old and worked in a salon that sold high-end make up and I have been wearing high-end make up and drugstore make up and I am 58 years old and this is the hardest makeup I’ve ever had to try to use. I have tried it over and over and over again and the only time it ever looked good was when I followed step-by-step mature make up artist on RUclips and it took 45 minutes and yes it looked beautiful although the blush never stayed on and never does, but who has time for all of that. I want to put on my serum‘s and my moisturizer and whatever primer I like and put my foundation on put a little bronzer on and blush and spritz and go. Max five minutes for the face and 10 minutes for my eyes because I wear lashes. I don’t have an hour and a half to do my make up and then not be satisfied with it and look in the mirror and see it separating. That’s what it does. It separates and shows pores

    Having tried this for a few weeks myself, I think you would do better using their brushes as you appear to have too much product on your skin. That will also cause too much texture. Pouncing with with a damp sponge also insures you do not have on too much. It’s definitely a learning curve. I’m also 58 with oilier skin. I find it takes no longer to apply than cc cream and loose powder.

  • @kimbailey4723

    I’ve been using this for a few years and adore it. Certainly nothing is for everyone and I appreciate that you are the kind of person to try things. I had a specific color match from an artist and that makes all the difference. At 54 this is the best makeup I’ve ever used and the occlusive creams really help my menopausal skin to stay moist all day and not dry out. But there is most definitely a learning curve. Once I got it, it really has been amazing but I really believe no one thing is for everyone. I love not putting a single co,or everywhere then putting more colors on top of that anymore and have larded the way to help creams last better than other types in my past. But thanks for giving it a true chance and for all your videos! We need to live in a world where we can disagree but still appreciate each other and I think you do that well!!

    I purchased seint over a year ago. I do not like a heavy makeup look and find that it covers my 74 year old skin and looks good. I don't think it to be a simple makeup, but easy to not have to have a big makeup bag full of bottles of makeup. I take my makeup and a couple brushes and I have all I need.

    At nearing 59 I finally tried this last year and love it! I think this gal was using too much when applying. or is not using the correct colors witch makes texture show. It is so easy to use once you have it down . With a setting spray it stays on even in the NC heat. Seint is blendable and has a collection of beautiful colors. Ir's also compact which is great for travel. Don't be afraid to give it a try.

      @@sheilalaws3894 Hi Sheila! I hope you don't mind me jumping on here. By way of full disclosure - I have mature skin (61 y/o) and I am not a Seint makeup artist/consultant. And, I switch off and on between using Seint and some of the makeup that Sharalee recommends. I just love her and never miss a video. She's a class act and does an excellent job of educating us all. It's unfortunate this makeup didn't work for her. I felt that way when I first tried it, but I learned that using the Seint brushes makes all the difference. Not using the brushes may have played a part in Sharalee's negative review of Seint. I've also found that it helps to use a primer, and she didn't use one. You may have to try a few different ones to figure out which works best for you. I actually don't use primer. The last step of my pre-makeup skin care is Tinted Elta MD Skincare UV Elements Broad Spectrum SPF. If I let that set for a few min before applying Seint makeup, and follow up my makeup application with a good setting spray, it turns out beautiful, lasts all day and doesn't transfer. I am going to be trying Seint's Demi line to color correct. I've heard great things and watched many videos about it. To answer your question about concealer; that took me awhile to find the right one too. I actually used Sharalee's recommendation from another video and use Clinique Even Better all over concealer. It works fantastic for me!

    *not a seint artist* I’ve definitely got experience with makeup, and now with mature dry/combo skin want to love this so I keep coming back to it. Your application looked beautiful. Im finding that I use my sponge lightly only in the areas prone to collecting too much product. Then I set with a “whisper” 😉 of powder. But honey, let’s be for real…in Louisiana with 100% humidity, I have to just love it in the winter and when I travel to drier climates.

    My first thought when you showed the palette and explained how it worked was that it did not seem easier or less complicated than "traditional" makeup. Watching you put it on definitely confirmed that. The comments from people who really love it (or sell it?) that you need to be coloured matched, properly trained, and use their brushes just corroborate that this is not a simple-to-use makeup. I am always suspicious of "you must use our brushes or it won't work properly" type of thinking as that just seems like a money grab.
    I think you did a fair review. You did quite a bit of research, you tried it several times in different ways, and you really tried to make it work. You also said that you know it works for many people, and that it just doesn't work for you. Not every product will work for everyone. Thank you for your review!

      I was a customer first. I was very skeptical of this makeup brand after watching so many videos and tutorials on it. I decided to try it after months and months of watching videos. I decided to purchase the basics and one brush. I used it with my brushes first and then with the seint brush. Let me tell you, using the Seint brush was a game changer. No matter what brand of makeup you use or brush brand, I truly believe that brushes make a huge difference on makeup application.

      This review/tutorial seems WAY more complicated than needed. It takes me 5 minutes max to apply my makeup. I PROMISE this is sooo much easier and quicker than this!
      I didn’t buy all the extras she used. I use highlighter- contour- main color and blush.4 vs 8 colors is all you need!!!
      I have used this for almost 2 years (no I don’t sell it). I have struggled with cystic acne most of my adult life and have used nearly every single foundations- this is by FAR the BEST makeup I have used. Perfect coverage. Since I have so many brushes- I didn’t purchase theirs. I met my “consultant” and had a color match just To make sure my colors were right with the changing seasons. I used her brush and I LOVE it!!!
      Bonus is this makeup didn’t make my sensitive skin breakout.

There is a learning curve to this but I have to say I would never go back to regular foundation and powders and concealer‘s and all the things that I used to use this is so much easier. And I am in my 60s. If you’re seeing large pores and texture you’ve either got the wrong shade or you applied way too much.

    I’m 66 and have been using Seint for 6 mos now. Once I got the technique down, I do like the light natural coverage I get. It stays on all day. No creasing. I will say that it takes more time to apply than I care to spend! I also use the Demi to color correct under my eyes and around my nose area. It all takes minimal product with the right technique. I figure I paid for the product, I might as well experiment until I got it right. I still see wrinkles and age spots. I don’t know that there is much out there to erase the years of expression and sun.

    • @mdgardengirl
      @mdgardengirl Год назад

      I like a little bronzed look… not crazy. I take the small end of the blush brush and tap once into Bella bronzer and Mango. Mango is a corrector shade for me (redness) but it works good for a bit of color as my tan fades in winter. (Sandy is my main shade.) So, I brush/swipe on forehead, upper, lower cheeks… basically all over. Then I swirl it all over with the big fluffy end of the brush. This gives me a nice light coverage. Then I add cheek color and done. I will go back with Bella if I still look too pale.
      The brushes determine the amount of coverage. The fluffy ones are better to start out with as most people use way too much at first. You can try the dot method with your fingers as well. Or even swipe it on. It’s very versatile. If you have too much, use a perfector sponge to tap some off. Another important tip… no silicone in your moisturizer or sunscreen! It prevents the cream makeup from sticking to your skin. Won’t get all day coverage. Hope you learn to love it. ❤

    I’m curious if you were color matched by an artist. I almost ordered this without being color matched and I think it would be hard to pick the right shades going off the color as shown in the tin. I’m lighter than you and I was matched with June as my main highlight and Linen as my lighter highlight. Color matching is pretty easy… and entails taking a no-makeup selfie of your face and neck in diffused natural light. If you do decide to be color matched, I’d be interested in seeing an updated demo. 🙂 (If you are seeing a lot of pores and texture, your colors are too light.)

      Oh THANK YOU for sharing that!! ♥️You have officially debunked all of the theories of why I didn't have success with this makeup😆 I am truly sorry you and I both had to spend our hard earned money on something that doesn't work! But another viewer said she has used the contour, blush and bronzer over her Este Lauder Double Wear foundation and it's worked great. I recently switched to Seint and I LOVE it. (Just a happy customer, not selling it.) I had a little bit of a learning curve at first but now it's pretty fast and simple. I'll need a lighter highlighter (foundation) for the winter but so far, so good! I did find that I need to use a beauty blender to press the creams into my skin when I'm done to give it a more skin-like look.
    I did try using some good dupe brushes but then decided to get one of the brushes (bronze and highlight). Does it work better than the dupes? Maybe.

    • @juliematheny7324
      @juliematheny7324 2 года назад +3

      I am wondering the same thing. It’s important to not just pick your own shades but to work with someone who can help. Also, it’s really important that you wait long enough after putting on moisturizer before you put on the highlights. Also, it’s a different look from full coverage, matte makeup. Typically if your face looks textured you aren’t in the correct color.

    • @SharaleesBoxOfChocolates
      @SharaleesBoxOfChocolates  2 года назад +4

      I did not get color matched but used the colors one of the artist uses and her coloring is very similar to mine. I've heard from several that worked with an artist to be color matched and they had the same results I had. As far as length of time before applying after moisturizer, I always wait 20-30 minutes after skincare before applying foundation so it had plenty of time to sink in. Guess this is just one product that works for some and not for others😊

Even the cheapest of the several foundations I've tried in my whole life gives me a better result. I am 50, and I have a good skin: almost no wrinkle nor uneven skin tone, but this make up leaves an unnatural finish, higligths my pores and fine lines, and remains sticky and producty, no matter what expert's tip I use....I don't like it at all

    Right away, you need the Seint brushes because depending on the brush you use, you can get more or less coverage. You are definitely putting on WAY too much product on your face. If you are a little older, like me, using the wrong brush will put too much product on your skin which WILL highlight fine lines and pores. I can't tell you the name of the brush I use so I DON'T get those actuated on my face. I've been wearing Seint since 2019. And, I feel like I have my youthful look I used to have. This product is the most natural product I've ever used. They are also the least expensive I've ever used. This product will also not settle in your wrinkles. This looks like it would take me twice as long as my current routine. I think I'll stick with my Loreal Infallible 24 hr fresh wear.

    You used wayyy to much and the prep you used has silicone...which is a not compatible. The first ingredient is Diemthecone. Nothing that ends in "cone" should be used. There are better options. I would love to see another review with different prep

You should watch this so you know what I'm talking about. ruclips.net/video/pN6XZ8doyIM/видео.htmlsi=mh8ATAEDvEaDR-hf

    Don't care for this makeup. I've tried it twice. Love the gray highlights in your hair. Thanks for sharing.

    She changed the maskara to Seint because lots of women thought Mask cara the Mask reminds people oh masking for Covid-19. So she changed it to Seint. Julie

    Highlight by Seint usually indicates the same thing as foundation for other lines.
