  • Jordan Belfort shared his advice on running a business and the rules he uses to hire, manage and fire people. He’s recently written a book about how to invest without getting scammed that seems to be full of extremely reasonable information for the average person. Hint - avoid money managers. If you want to learn about long term financial planning, as well as how to optimize business operations, this is a handy episode.
Jordan Belfort is an author, motivational speaker, and former stockbroker. In 1999, he pleaded guilty to fraud and related crimes in connection with stock-market manipulation and running a boiler room as part of a penny-stock scam. After 22 months in prison, he published a memoir, The Wolf of Wall Street, which was adapted into a film starring Leonardo DiCaprio. Jordan now uses his experiences to teach people how to make and maximize their money.
Jordan’s book, The Wolf of Investing: My Insider’s Playbook for Making a Fortune on Wall Street, can be purchased here: www.amazon.com/Wolf-Investing...

Mikaela I love your channel and your work but Jordan Belfort is a real criminal that robbed people of their life savings, especially those people who have little money and don't understand how finances work...
There are many people who praise Jordan Belfort and want to be rich and successful like him... I don't think criminals who rob poor people should get a platform even If the interview is interesting there are so many other successful business men you could interview.
No front or hate, I still like your channel Mikaela but he robbed so many people.

I'm 54 and my wife and I are VERY worried about our future, gas and food prices rising daily. We have had our savings dwindle with the cost of living into the stratosphere, and we are finding it impossible to replace them. We can get by, but can't seem to get ahead. My condolences to anyone retiring in this crisis, 30 years nonstop just for a crooked system to take all you worked for.

I’m from Bayside, NY - Jordan’s hometown, a few years younger. I remember when he and his friends would walk around Jones’ Beach with those coolers, selling ice cream and sandwiches. Brilliant! The walk to the food court was so far from where your blanket was. And the walk from the car to the beach so far also. When I saw The Wolf of Wall Sreet, had no idea so much was going on a few blocks away from me

The company definitely had some sketchy ethics, getting employees to "voluntarily" sign contracts that they would not sue the company, and I'm sure they had great lawyers. If you own a stove or microwave there's a good chance you have one of their products

The current richest man in the world is Bernard Arnault. He made his fortune slowly but surely. He bought (for his investment vehicle) the best brands out there, as well as "out of favor brands" and fixed them up. Buffet does the same, he buys high quality brands in general. Technology companies come and go over time ... its very hard to be consistent in picking the right one. Fashion, cosmetics, and luxury brands are usually over the long run the best bets. As an ex private banker I use to enter a Sephora, give a nice tip to the salesperson and ask them a basic question, what really sells well ? (and what does not). You can easily beat the market by sticking to quality brands and investing your money on pull backs. There are ALWAYS pull backs due to global events, inflation, etc

Jordan Belfort has always been a brilliant guy to me, since the day I got to see one of his interviews. He shares a lot of unfiltered and valuable information. Great to see Mikhaila back in the media scene more regularly. Congratulations on the new one coming into your lives. People as beautiful as her are celebrated for reproducing. Likely have some other new parents already hoping they might get their kids to couple with hers one day when they grow up. Keep up the hard work, both of you. Thanks.

It was great to hear Jordan's perspective of investing. He is right about being pushed out and lead on by other real estate "gurus" and managers with investing. I ordered his book and can't wait to retain some cut through the bullshit knowledge on investing. Thank you for having him as a guest on your show.

I wonder if there's a video out there titled, "Why you don't need to hate all sales people." ... This isn't the one. Shouldn't this guy still be in jail?

Was just watching the movie, the part where the staff was mocking the shit out of Steve Madden in particular. That's when Jordan threw his watch at them. What a legend

Great interview. This guy is clearly brilliant. Even with his jailtime and corruption the guy has learned a lot in his lifetime without question.

This man made his money from scamming people. You claim to have an alternative moral fabric, but by giving him a voice, your legitimising his scamologist path to success. Horrible!
Try interviewing scientists, artists, or real entrepreneurs instead of snakes and weasels.

Yes it's always interesting to watch a guest and their Body language / eye contact with the Moderator also She's a young beautiful lady, still in my opinion, needs to put on some clothes, He has a tendency to interrupt, Deflect, when you're in sales or just have the ability to read people. You can tell this guy's slik....
