Your new format is wonderful.....love all the light. So glad your son is helping you. Can't wait to have a go with this painting. And, I look forward to seeing more of your new studio. You look beautiful....love your hair.
Love the idea of doing the seagulls can’t wait for it to come out Louise. It’s nice to see you painting in your Studio and hopefully we do get to have a look around. You said your son was going to help you do your filming if it is him we would love to meet him on one of your films. I love how you put your bloopers on in the end. It makes us feel we are all human.
Yay this video is back on! I started it last night and then went to sleep to finish watching this morning. I couldn't find it anywhere! Your Instagram post came off as well. So glad it's back on now!
Such fun seeing the new format, really well done, and you look especially beautiful here, Louise! I love the feather detail, can't wait for the full tutorial to come out on Patreon, and in the meantime will watch this again to soak in all the tips. So glad you (and your son) left in a few bloopers, you know how we all love those! Looking forward to the grand "reveal" of the new studio, the glimpses we've had look great!
Thanks so much for sharing your watercolor painting, I am a beginner, your videos let me to learn a lot of painting skills, I really enjoy to watch your videos as those are supremely excellence painting indeed, of course I would keep to follow your videos, wish you will keep to offer videos for sharing! (fan from Hong Kong ❤)
I love how you're always talking about hard and soft edges, but this painting is also about painting white and leaving a lot of white. It's beautiful how you maintained a white background and the white seagulls still stand out! 😄
@@LouiseDeMasi p.s. I love your painting, also. I forgot to say that. That is the reason I watch you. Although you are blessed and gifted with many talents, your humor captivates me.
This was an amazing tutorial as always. The best though is the bloopers at the end. I learn so much throughout the video and then the end makes me smile and loosens me up. I'm ready to paint! Thank you so much 💙
The lighting in your new studio looks wonderful in the video! I appreciate all the effort you put in to produce videos for us. Your work is inspiring and so easy to watch!
Love the new format and can't wait to see your studio. Great tutorial, as always, showing so many techniques. Even though I know some of these already it's great being shown again to remind me. Am hoping in time, I won't have to think about it as much and it will come more naturally. Can't wait to try the seagulls next month. Thanks Louise! 😊 🙏❤
Outstanding tutorial Louise, thank you. I know that you’re not usually keen on masking fluid, but have you tried it on Fabriano? I’ve heard some artists say that Fabriano doesn’t cope well with masking, so I’ve avoided buying it up to now. It’s cheaper in the UK than Arches etc., so would like to try it.
It's soft press. It's made by Fabriano. It sits in between cold press and hot press. It has a slight tooth - more texture than hot press but less than cold press. Here's another look at it: ruclips.net/video/wVTAeosyCGQ/видео.html

Very lovely! The size 10 Silver black velvet brush does most of my dry brushing even on hp, it’s a synthetic squirrel blend.
Thanks Jennie and thanks for the tip.
I love this, great painting! I’ll be watching for the Patreon tutorial 🥰
Thanks Margaret. I'm in the checking stages of it. I'll post it some time next month.

Beautiful. Wish I could paint like that. What do you use to transfer you drawing.
So lovely Louise, your edges advice is so very helpful! What brush did you use for the fine detail of the eyes?
Thanks Audrey. That was my Da Vinci Maestro series 35, size #0.
@@LouiseDeMasi Thank you!
What is the program on your computer which you use to look at what colour Background you liked to choose. Thanks
I use Photoshop Eva.
Thank you for explaining all the different edges. Can you please tell me what the difference is between, ultramarine and French ultramarine?
Hi Barb, I have found that French Ultramarine is more concentrated than Ultramarine and I prefer to mix with it more than Ultramarine.
@@LouiseDeMasi thank you for explaining.
Louise I am having trouble signing into my patreon account on my new computer
gulls get such a bad rep, you did a great job with their wings 🙂

"Soft pressed"? Sorry, is that Cold or Hot pressed?
