As some one who also had a beast sounding exhaust on his tundra its loud and you van hear it in the cab and you roll down all 5 windows and make it roar and you love every second of it
I’ve owned a tundra for less than a year (2017) and I’m so glad I came across your page I’ve been wanting to add stuff to this truck already I’m excited.
Congrats on the recent Tundra purchase! You're gonna love the truck. I hope that these videos are helpful for you as you build out your truck.. Thanks for subscribing and supporting the channel. HUGE help!!! 👈🏾👊🏾👍🏾
One thing I would add to deepen and smooth out the sound and eliminate any remaining drone: X-pipe. Buy a stainless Magnaflow X-pipe and have it welded in just after the secondary cats. It'll sound sooo good after that.
Thanks for watching, man! Yeah ... it's loud, but it doesn't compare to the muffler-delete. That was stupid-loud (probably far too loud for the city), so I tamed it down with the aftermarket mufflers. What kind of work have you done on your Tundra so far?
@@toyotaFANatic81 So far tires, wheels, Android head unit, and 5100s on the front to get it more level. There is a good YT channel by "Exhaust Addicts" that has videos to compare different exhausts on 5.7L Tundras.... maybe someday I'll try something with a little more growl.
@N6EAJ Nice work so far! It would be nice if we all had $$$ to do all of our mods at once instead of over months and years. Ah well. Yes, I love Exhaust Addicts. The nice thing about various exhaust systems (or parts) is that you can make your exhaust sound just the way you want it to. There are a lot of options out there.
@@toyotaFANatic81 yep nothing too crazy. i have a 2021 trd pro. ive done 275/70/18 mickey thompson baja boss a/t, rigid industries ditch lights with caliraised brackets, gorhino rb20 steps, amber rigid led foglight covers, film free tinted windows, debadged the doors, toyota bed cover and am in the process of putting together an external transmission cooler.
Whats up bro?! I have a question you may or may not be able to answer. I’m still rocking the true dual muffler delete. Still lovin it! I watched a video where someone talked about since Tundras come factory with just one muffler that if you do a Y-pipe and just run a straight pipe after (not go dual) that its even louder than true dual? Whats your thoughts?
Hey, Man! I'm glad that you're still enjoying the muffler delete. You're right ... I can't answer that question. You'd have to find someone in person (or on video) who has installed a y-pipe on their exhaust system. Sorry that I can't give you a better answer, but I don't want to bullshit you ... I honestly don't know.
Thanks for checking out the video. When you say "sucks," do you mean in terms of performance? I have not used the TRD CAI, so it would be hard for me to make a comparison. I would have to do some research and see if any tests have been to compare the two of them. I can say that most CAIs will give you only a modest bump in HP. +5 to +30, depending on a number of factors. The air that goes through a CAI is usually NOT "cold." The trick with CAIs is that they come with filters that allow for a greater flow of air through the throttle body. More air + more fuel = more power. The problem is, unlike a turbocharger or supercharger, the increase in airflow from a CAI is usually very small, and the air is usually ambient, not cold.
If you were talking about the sound of the CAI, then I probably gave you too much of an answer. Oops. Yes, a CAI can add a bit of a nice howl, but my exhaust system is SO loud that it would drown out any sound from the CAI. I got the CAI more for increased airflow than for sound.
@toyotaFANatic81 nldidnt purchase just for the sound, I'm also looking for more POWA as well! Was meaning most of the RUclips reviews of the Toyota TRD CIA state they hear better sound and a tiny but more power. Thanks for all the info though cheers!

Definitely not for me. Reminds me of the time my friend and I decided to cut holes in the exhaust to make it louder on my Dodge Shadow k-car Way too much noise But if you like it right on man I'm leaning towards the borla touring Just the muffler. Can't afford anything else. I recently got installed the still in cold air intake and a retrax pro MX Unfortunately I have fender flares but my tires are very narrow and they are black and my wife does not want me to paint them to match😢 I'm thinking about getting hub extensions 1.5 in that way. The truck tires don't look so narrow. Cheapest option I could find.

I have had the same setup on my truck since last year and Im loving it.
I love it too. The sound is excellent!!!

Yes, Sir!!! I have an x-pipe in the plans (moreso for a bit of back-pressure than the sound).
Man that sounds good
Thanks, man!! 👊🏾 👍🏾
Although that is a little loud for my taste, it sure does sound good! Nice camera fly over. 2008 Tundra DC working on mods.

@Park Vapes Sounds like you're slowly turning it into a Baja-Beast!!!
I like it. Carvens let you have a "straight pipe" sound, but at more tolerable sound pressure levels. You even have two, right...?
Thanks for watching, man!!
Yes, sir, I've got 2 of them. They provide a much better tone than the muffler-delete (in my experience and opinion).
You have no idea how many times Ive watched this video. Lol

What kind of tips do you have put on? Kinda want to put them on my own tundra 😅
Those 3.5" exhaust tips came with my Borla Touring Catback Exhaust. You should be able to find similar tips online.
Does the Toyota TRD Cold air intake suck compared to the Magnum Force, Stage 2 Cold Air Intake???

The brand is called FORTIN.
The specific fob model is: RM 442
How loud is it on the inside? Can you have a normal conversation?
