Been a WWE Fan since the Monday Night Wars. The last 5 or 6 years They have completely lost sight of what they were. They screw superstars in so many ways, thier booking is 90% stupid (they seem to be able to do a couple things right), they destroyed their ability to make stars. They are alot like 2000 WCW. Its tough times in WWE right now.
They didn't change dude. It's just that main eventers back then were sufficient enough to carry the company. Look at test , Billy Gunn , Bart Gunn , and many more.

Miro didn't feel safe opening up because a conversation with one person ends up in the first sheets. Meanwhile, at AEW Jon Huber's death was a complete surprise to the fans because the roster respected his family enough to keep his illness a secret.
During that time of Luke Harper's death my respect for Tony Khan and AEW went up tenfold when I heard they kept his illness and death silent till his family was ready to broadcast that. It's very rare to keep anything secret and away from gossip sheets these days. That's egregious breaking Rusev's trust like that, pretty shitty.
Anytime I hear former WWE wrestlers talk about leaving, the common theme is that WWE didn’t know what to do with them. I thought he got over with the “Rusev Day” stuff then they stopped it. Same thing with punk and SES. It seems as though the thought is to get over but then when you do they do everything they can to stop it. It’s just how Vince McMahon likes to keep control.
Exactly Control. Vince Controls wrestlers momentum, and popularity to hold some from being world champion. It's a way to have an excuse to pay wrestlers less, and avoid creating too many top level superstars. I understand if you create many top notch stars, not only will they demand more money, but you risk them leaving to another company. So he fears that. Problem for fans is that Vince McMahon picks the Wrestlers he wants on top, even if they're not the most popular ones. He pushes them above other more deserving that fans really engage with and like. That's why some wrestlers, when they finally win the world title they never regain it back again. Or some have very short stints as World Champion. Imagine if the WWE had just one World Title belt? You could never satisfied so many egos.
I tell you what this guy is the kind of star I would pay money to go see live...When he was Rusev in WWE well not so much, he is just one example of many, so at some point all the top talent will be coming to AEW, as a matter of fact they already are

Being hauled onto Nia's back apparently is. I bet if you went to a Horsewoman with that "Nia puts you through a table every week" you wouldn't get a yes. But somebody like Lana? RUSEV was the most over guy in the whole company. Why? Because he was so good, & so underutilised & unappreciated, but those fans shouted RUSEV DAY! as loud as they could Because they loved Rusev and thought he deserved better & he did.

Seriously when he hit the accolade on Big E and then Big E looked liked he was gonna get out of it... AND THEN RUSEV RESET THE ACCOLADE I GOT OUT OF MY CHAIR AND STARTED SCREAMING FOR THEM TO WIN. Disappointed was an understatement when They lost
I just hope they get an actually good story for Miro soon. He has so much potential that is being absolutely wasted sticking him with a douchebag like Kip Sabian. It's absolutely killing his credibility. They should have brought him in as a white hot babyface. They should have known after the pop he got on his debut that they should have had him immediately turn on Sabian and do something else. It's probably the first creative decision AEW has made that I thought was a huge mistake. They had the eyes of the world on them, Miro looking the best he's ever looked, and they turn him heel and stick him with a jobber.
Vince was playing with them 🤣🤣 and our boy Tony Khan was also testing their relationship, to the point CJ Perry eventually cheated on Miro and broke up there marriage.

Was HOPING he woulda' brought over his Rusev Day gimmick being a fantastic face, instead he botched injuring himself in his first match, got a gimmick paired as "Gamer" (smh) and revolving back to the same as a heel'ish brute. He's got the rest of 2021, but so far his runs been a dud.
Is very interesting because as many people as they keep firing they all have the similar stories about how they were underutilized a wasn't really going anywhere for them as far as their career it was such he opportunity to be higher by the WWE but then it didn't really go anywhere after a few months they were just mediocre as to their placement and the story lines and characters that they were forced into You would think after having a company the does the same thing for almost 40 years you would think that they would have some type of contingency plan for these eventualities but the reality is they don't know what they're doing they can't survive without fan support and they don't have it end of story the pay per views have just been horrible to the point of one pay per view was all women and all I heard was it was so boring was so stupid their shows are based on talent that they no longer employ so what are they going to do nothing they can't do anything matter of fact they have had such difficulty keeping contracts for networks the keep having to jump from 1 network to another after 4 or 5 years it's so ridiculous that's just 1 problem

Was HOPING he woulda' brought over his Rusev Day gimmick being a fantastic face, instead he botched injuring himself in his first match, got a gimmick paired as "Gamer" (smh) and revolving back to the same as a heel'ish brute. He's got the rest of 2021, but so far his runs been a dud.

Is very interesting because as many people as they keep firing they all have the similar stories about how they were underutilized a wasn't really going anywhere for them as far as their career it was such he opportunity to be higher by the WWE but then it didn't really go anywhere after a few months they were just mediocre as to their placement and the story lines and characters that they were forced into
You would think after having a company the does the same thing for almost 40 years you would think that they would have some type of contingency plan for these eventualities but the reality is they don't know what they're doing they can't survive without fan support and they don't have it end of story the pay per views have just been horrible to the point of one pay per view was all women and all I heard was it was so boring was so stupid their shows are based on talent that they no longer employ so what are they going to do nothing they can't do anything matter of fact they have had such difficulty keeping contracts for networks the keep having to jump from 1 network to another after 4 or 5 years it's so ridiculous that's just 1 problem
WWE is slowly becoming more and more like WCW. NOT as bad, but coming somewhat CLOSE. WHICH is never a good thing.
@arise212x Well i mean... in terms of booking? Or running a business? Cause i don't think WWE ever will get to WCW level of business practice. But as for booking.... well i say not as bad, cause with WCW they had some bat sh%T crazy bookings. There is a reason why WCW went outta business.
I prefer AEW by a longshot but so far i dont really enjoy Miro's persona and gimmick.
