    Hi Lui, I am trying to add a document library but when I go to the site contents page, I dont have the "New" dropdown option, instead i only have an option to add a page. Any idea why this is happening?

      Hi Amgad, hope your well. Without seeing the issue it would be hard to diagnose. My hypothesis would be that this issue is tied to permissions. Are you the stie owner? If not, then it's possible you don't have the required permissions to add a library which would be site member and above. If you're a member then someone could have modified the default permissions for that role. Hope this helps and thanks for watching

      The primary different between the two is that Libraries require a file be attached or uploaded whereas Lists do not require a file to be uploaded. Otherwise, both allow you to track data about documents (in libraries) and items (in lists).
