Beautiful but we need more of these thanks Chris and the fantastic musicians God bless you all
Thanks Alan, more to come!
I love that voluntary silences from the pianist, it's rare to see such musical silences
Wow....what can I say? I just returned home and turned on RUclips and there, Bye Bye Blackbird - Chris Whiteman Quartet. Great to see and watch everyone getting into it, from start to finish. Chris as always displaying his chops, the Upright walking with the skins to help it move and the keyboard laying it down to deserved applause. Thanks guys! You made my evening begin with great vibes!!!
Thanks Daniel!
The chord solo at the end of your lead was fantastic! Superb solo and a beautiful cover!
Thanks Mike, glad you enjoyed it

Well done..and who’s the brilliant pianist …so sympathetic…so tasty…such a great use of space…excellent young man…and love your lessons Chris…and kudos to drum ‘n’ bass…🎉
Many thanks Robert! That is Ayinde Williams on keys. A special player for sure!
that line starting at 2:36 - 243 -- superb- ive had to steal it 🙂🙂🤟🤟🫶..sounds like your playing augmented triad and a scale idea (F dom?). .not good on the theory but my ears work 🙂.. keep this coming Chris , superb playing and a far better way to learn jazz guitar IMHO
Thank you Mungo!
... ♫ but beautiful ♫ :)
Hold on a minute here: why does everyone look so healthy? Why isn’t the room dim and full of smoke? Why aren’t the drummer’s eyes rolling back in his head? Why isn’t the bass player nodding off with a cigarette dangling from his mouth? Why does the pianist look like this is his side hustle and his main gig is working as a personal trainer to Kylie Jenner? Why does everyone look like they just had a $17 bespoke fresh pressed juice? What is up with jazz in 2024?
Wait, I was seeing everything that you mentioned. I must be jaded! 😅 I also heard an old out of tune upright piano.
Guess they just aren't that committed.
