Siouxsie and Severin walk into Zikk Zakk's building but they face an unexpected surprise in the process. So, just watch the damn thing to find out what happens...😝
Their music carries no lable of any kind, they simply created art and emotion. Job well done and a univers full of thanks from me to you . Sending love ❤️
Their lyrics were never depressing in my opinion. There’s a lot of fun, and fantasy in the lyrics, along with darker themes. They were able to capture so much in a song. Siouxsie and Severin were amazing with their words.
I like the fact that Siouxsie wasn't BIG on the idea of S&TB being "super stars". Seeing this part for the first time, it's the complete opposite of Madonna's answer to a very similar question on American Bandstand in '84: "To rule the world." S&TB just wanted to rule THEIR world, not the entire world. If anything, they wished to influence the world-at-large, and bring them to progress and the expansion of musical/lyrical possibilities. I think, in many ways, they are much more comfortable amassing Gold albums rather than dozens of multi-platinum albums (though, they are certainly deserving of it over their 18 years of releases), since it's more of a testament to their original artistic intent. Let's make no mistake, though: They have written some of the most dark, disturbing, powerful, bleak, demented, haunting, imaginative lyrics ever recorded in the history of recorded music...thank God for "Hong Kong Garden", "Mirage", "Happy House", "Clockface", "Lunar Camel", "Desert Kisses", "Supernatural Thing", A Kiss In The Dreamhouse, "Dear Prudence", "Planet In My Kitchen", "Dazzle", "Take Me Back", "Belladonna", "Running Town", "Party's Fall", "Lullaby", portions of Through The Looking Glass, "Burn-up", "Ornaments Of Gold", "The Last Beat Of My Heart", "Rhapsody", "Kiss Them For Me", "Shadowtime", "Silly Thing", "Got To Get Up", "Silver Waterfalls", "The Ghost In You", "Oh, Baby", "Stargazer", and "Forever"...much needed light in a worldscape of shadow and darkness...
I think you are being too harsh on Madonna. "Ruling the world" is a silly ambition but she certainly changed music. I think Siouxsie and Madonna would get on fine.
@@lewisner Oh, no question: Madonna is a remarkable, special, game-changing artist. I (lovingly) own several of her albums. However, her concept was "To Rule The World", and she went about it accordingly and relentlessly. S&TB just wanted to do "Their Thing", regardless of trends and fads, or trying to stay "with the masses". And, I have to say: Siouxsie is NOT a fan of Madonna. She would most likely walk in the opposite direction, if she saw her at a party or event. Siouxsie was quoted, in 2002 or 2003, referring to Madonna as the antithesis to the kinds of artists she loves to follow or listen to. I respect them both, but they both went about their art and images in rather different ways. The fact that they're both in their 60s, and still very much relevant, is a great achievement.
They started as Punks in the early days and true I would say they were more "dark wave" which was a term bounded about at the time, but to be honest I would say they were goth but with an individual tone to them but they were pioneers and made goth what it was whether they liked it or not as they were also around at the time with The Cure, Bauhaus and others. My point is they were goth but did not identify as goth but I suppose at the end of the day it matters not.
@@paolobenmore3504 completely agree. it seems that the majority of popular 80s goth bands tend to be against the goth label, but wether they like it or not they helped build the goth scene, they had the appearance of goths, their music sounded gothic (gothic rock, post punk, new wave etc) & they were loved by goths all around the world. they might not identify as being goths, but they define everything goth & are legends within the goth scene
True but McGeoch had major drink and drug problems and at one point could not perform, they do admit they should have given him time off to sort himself out.
They simply didn't want to be labeled. Like the Cocteau Twins. Post punk, Goth, Shoegaze. They we're creating a different sound that would be appreciated for generations.
"you're not an Indian" "no, I just hate cowboys" lollll
If I had met her at this time I would have just giggled like a little girl.

Please don't compare Siouxsie to the opposite-of-siouxsie Mcdonna.
SHE is a one of a kind-type of rock icon where as Mcdonna there are plenty.
She is so beautiful!!!!
Love them! Steven Severin was such a Fox. 😍
Never mind the cowboys here's the Indians 😂
0:24 Hotel dude "X in Susie!?" :D"
Bird feathers as earrings. Different.
A reasonable & sensible request at the end I'd say
superB
The man that was at the desk left out the extra s in her name. No research indeed.
S i ou X? OOERR
They weren't punks nor were they goths. Siouxsie hated the goth label more than anything.

Where are these two married or a long-term couple at some point?
Where are these two?
Weren't these two married or ....
Wrong Train Runnin /
They were never as good after the sacking of McGeoch. Worst move ever
True but McGeoch had major drink and drug problems and at one point could not perform, they do admit they should have given him time off to sort himself out.
Gotta admit Robert Smith was a pretty good guitarist
Could a woman be any more effortlessly sexy and charming? 🔥
