Frieren has postponed working on this for 500 years, but she surely will start working on it tomorow.

They are procrastinating saving their species too 🗿
That was 500 years ago now...
How to you even correct a split second mistake?
@@brago.gameplayswell It's not something others struggle with so it's not like she can't do it. She just didn't get around to it yet. GIVE IT TIME.
That's not her real weakness, her real weakness is mimic.
Ngl, I first thought they were going to use a mimic too lol. The thing is, Frieren's weakness are mimic beacuse of her love for dungeons and the 1% chance of finding a treasure. Since the clone is a spiegel, a kind of monster, it doesnt have a heart it couldnt fall for it.
Thats our right answer
I was thinking fern gonna throw a mimic the the room and wait the clone get trapped lol
Her VERY REAL weakness is R34
agreed. Fern is dumb for not stating the obvious weakness
Notice how the barrier is a bit to the side,Fern purposely missed but Frieren still reflexively blocked
Yeah its at least covering her side but way more focused on the area behind her.
I still don't get it. Her magic detection is wha?

Yo the "fatal weakness" needs the fastest spellcaster to exploit, the one who came from wild west
It :also_ needs an equally powerful opponent to keep her entirely occupied in order for that fastest spellcaster to have any chance to get the stealth snipe off ...

@@nittayoshifumi8252 classic .357 Six Shooter
@@nittayoshifumi8252 Now I am thinking about staffs having stats similar to guns, like cooldown between spells, spell amplification power, spell capacity per charge, etc.
You know, beginning shooters will sometimes reflexively shut their eyes when they fire a gun. It usually takes some training and experience to overcome that problem. Frieren appears to have the magical equivalent of this weakness, but she never overcame it.
And since Frieren seems well aware of her deficiency, I can only assume that Flamme knew about it too. I can just imagine their training sessions and Flamme hammering it home: "STOP DROPPING YOUR MANA DETECTION!!!" Maybe that's why Frieren describes her as an "unpleasant person" in previous episodes.
That's a really good comparison. Mana Detection is likely involved with "sensing" which spell an opponent is preparing. With her mana detection down, it's literally like Frieren "blinks" for a split second after firing a spell.
great comparison
I have to say, it works but i was a little disappointed that was the answer. Feels like it could have affected her in past battles.

I guess it make sense that Frieren battle style specialized for killing demons, which involved mana concealing her own mana and caught demons off guard, thats why demons call her a coward mage. Because demons are a prideful mages they tent to boast their magic and condemn stealth attack. @@anna-flora999 Frieren isn't the kind of person to hold back for no reason, but from what we saw it looked like he exploited her exact weakness by simply being fast and dangerous with basic magic.
Thats probably only a weakness if her opponent is near her level or if she has to fight multiple strong opponents at once. Even if Denken noticed it in his battle with her he could not use it to his advantage.
To exploit her weakness there is need to be 2 mages. One acting as decoy and attack her while the other can conceal his or her kana and use quick spells
That's why she needs a party. Lol
@user-px7df5vl8r not necessarily. A tricky opponent can exploit it as well but it's easier with multiple people.

2nd cutest Frieren moment after the cold hand scene
I think its because of my language dub, but the curls scene are sooo cute.
She stops sensing mana while casting, but exploiting this weakness is still near impossible for anyone but the frieren and fern combo.
To exploit it, you need
1. A mage with very hard to detect presence, and one of, if not the fastest cast speed in the world.
2. A mage who can 1 v 1 frieren and keep her busy enough to lose track of the above mentioned mage.
3. Zoltraak, and knowledge that frieren cannot instinctively defend against zoltraak in this point of the story.
The way Denken spoke, he seems to think he could have exploited it if he had been aware of it.
Denken is good, but alone he is not doing anything. Again it comes down to team work and being able to even keep up with her. If she finds out at all its over.@@marcobering3945
@@marcobering3945 I don't think he thought that but, he certainly thinks that it was an immense oversight.
I mean you are correct if you want everyone to survive haha. Technically all you'd need is #1, a mage who is very hard to detect. The other mage can literally be anyone..They'll just be a sacrifice.
p.s I do believe Fern could probably kill her alone. 100% when Fern is older. All you'd have to do to actually defeat Frieren in a 1v1 is cast a spell while she is countering another spell you've casted. Something Fern is actually good at, the consecutive attacks. Frieren also doesn't seem concerned with blocking her vision with big spells. So Fern would need to cast a big spell that Frieren would need to counter, blocking her vision, then a ultra-fast Zoltraak. Main point.. Fern is the main piece to this puzzle.
@@marcobering3945 considering the fight frieren had with her own clone, he would have been cooked in seconds
There are so few skilled mages in this chat. That split second loss of detection means that as soon as she casts her spell you lauch your counterattack, and she won't sense it quickly enough to block it. But to exploit it properly means you need 2 attackers, or someone capable of performing a near-doublecast in which a 2nd effect is produced during that brief gap while detection is off defending against the 1st.
or just cast Wish from DnD and order her to cease to exist in this world
@@evergreen9752 Theoretically, sure, but Wish is HEAVILY DM dependant. It could throw her into the future, or throw YOU into the past before she was born.
@@shadowldrago It depends on power of your character. If you have a 20 lvl + homebrew spells and godly powers + mighty artifacts then you are basically a low tier deity. Obviously your magic/powers would be more powerful and precise. A wish spell conjured by such character would best frieren with ease. My character would obliterate both Frieren and Serie at once for instance, though I use different type of magic. The point is godlike beings in DnD are just more powerful overall and their magic too. Restraints like those you mentioned are only for mere mortals

I was so hoping it'd be the mimic then when the fight begins the replica would be forced to defend against the frieren + fern onslaught
That is why Fern is going to be the greatest mage. She saw the weakness in the best 2 mages alive. She saw Serie's unstable mana seconds after meeting her.
I don't think what Fern noticed was a weakness in Serie tho.
@@ooorigami4166 Ya, this was better depicted in the manga but Fern was scared of Serie because Serie was also suppressing her mana, just like Frieren. Then it clicked for me that Flamme learned that technique from her master and she passed it down to Frieren.
Serie is a beast, she can emit so much mana even with suppression, that's why she has to suppress it so that people around her wouldn't be terrified of her.

Remember, fern is one of the fastest zoltraak caster. I think Frieren can block more precisely on other mage attacks.
Her weakness is being chewed on by a mimic.
This isn't really a weakness because to beat her you need 2 mages. 1 that have the same level as her and 1 that can supress his mana and have a powerful attack.
No need for very powerful attacks quick spells is what they need

I deadass expected her weakness was she can barely wake up on her own in the morning
Amnesiac Chise Ainsworth, aged like fine wine.
Every mage has weakness
Frieren is... gun-shy of her own attacks?
I'm assuming this is a consequence of her constantly suppressing her mana. It's a "weakness" that basically no one can actually exploit and she can easily stop be just not suppressing her mana.
Frieren flaw can only be exploited by someone as formidable as herself.
I thought it would be mimics and mornings
Noooo it's not mimic-kun 🤣🤣
I don't understand. can somebody explain what mana detection breaks off got anything to do with her weakness and how to kill her?
freriens curiosity is a stronger weakness, show her a new spell or promise a book and she will get distracted easy
I’m gonna be honestly I though they were just gonna summon a mimic in the middle of the room
I thought the weakness was that she had trouble waking up and they would cast a sleep spell
It's funny to me how they call it a "fatal weakness" when it can only be exploited in a very specific situation.
Frieren has to be fighting an equal so as to keep her casting and unable to counter whoever's going to cast Zoltrak (I may have spelled it wrong), besides that, the spell used *has* to be Zoltrak, because she isn't used to instinctively blocking it yet.
Guys, please help me figure out why the old man was so surprised? I watched the video 10 times and still couldn't figure out how Fern's attack was related to Freeren's mana detection?
Freeran stops detecting mana for a split second, but is this related to Fern's attack? After all, Freeran understood and reflected the magic, what is unusual about this scene? I can't understand it.🤷🤔
It wasn't because of Fern's attack, it's just Frieren's weakness in general. Whenever she casts a spell, she always drops her "radar" for a split second. In this scene, she casted a protective spell, which made her drop her mana detection too.
They were surprised because that weakness was a common error for mage apprentices and no decent mage made that mistake (that was also why Frieren was too embarrassed to tell anybody), while she was the last Great Mage.

Literally does not matter because no one can exploit it. Its not even a weakness
because they were all on board on teaming up to defeat Clone Frieren pretty fast at first and because they were finding weaknesses to defeat the boss, which also shows Frieren being Cooperative with everyone in a party.
I don't understand why Frieren is embarrassed by this and not embarrassed by how she falls for mimics all the time
Getting stuck in a mimic is an expected and likely outcome of taking the 1% chance of great knowledge. The mimic isn't a genuine threat to her- even when she's on her own, much less when with allies. That makes it simply part of a strategy that, over a long period of time, should make her stronger.
Dropping the mana detection is just a straight up weakness, a flaw in how she fights no matter how you look at it.

Am i the only one that didn't see what happened? Can someone please explain it? (What i see is fern shooting and frieren blocking it, then that guy explains and i understood that part)
That’s the point of it: you cant see it.
Even an experienced mage, warrior like Denken can barely see it after Fern pointed it out.
Basically the moment Frieren cast a spell (in this case, a shield), she still have a very short vulnerable react time.
And because it always goes by too fast (or rather not any enemy who faced her before is fast enough), it seems like she’s invincible. No weaknesses
And you know that Fern is the fastest Zoltrak caster (the basic piercing attack). And she can SEE that weakness, but hardly bypassing it, as Frieren is still able to block it even by surprise.
