Hello thanks for the video. Its very helpful. However i'd have a question. Which solver should i use to consider the gravity force? There is a height difference in my pipeline that i want to simulate. I simulated with the simpleFoam but it doesnt consider the the height elevation in the pipeline so that the pressure drop comes out less than it supposed to. I'd be very thankful if you can help me out. Thanks in advance
Hello Have you solved your problem? I meet the same question. (1) create a new mySimpleFoam solver and add force source term in momentum equations, but how to specify a proper boundary layer in the outlet, uniform pressure seems wrong
In a comparison of different grid generation softwares, what would you say is more flexible and compatible for OpenFOAM? Both commercial and freeware. Thank you
Hi, does this software can do transient flow simulation with heat transfer? Suppose I am flowing a coolant inside a pipe and want to see how much time it takes to drop the wall temperature to a certain temperature?
Hello, very awesome video. Great explanation and guides through the creation a model from scratch. Just one question. why did you consider 8.9e-4 as the value of kinematic viscosity of water? is not ~1.0 e-6? The units are m2/s
Hello. Its very hard to guess it this way. If you are getting any error then kindly share your error with me at cfdbaba@gmail.com or on Facebook. I will be glad to help you.
Hello. Thanks for the comment. Yes, I will post more OpenFOAM tutorials in my upcoming videos. Till then share this video with all your friends. Keep supporting.
Hello sir please help when i try to open mesh in openfoam they give me error like "permission denied" and when I try to fix they give me another error "operation not permitted".. please help what the issue how to resolve
i tried to follow the instruction but i faced this error ...(Cannot find patchField entry for walls) i dont know what is the problem but error points to P file

Hello CFD Analysts, First of all i am glad to reach out this channel and off course , it was very helpful the way you present. l
Thank you, CFD BABA! Based on your example I have made a simulation with a nozzle and this is fantastically!!!
You are the Real Gem Sir! Thank you So much for helping Us.
( love From Pakistan)
Great stuff. Thx. Can you also show us how you setup OF on your computer?
Hello. I am glad you liked the video. I will surely try to show OF setup in future videos.
congratulations, keep it up!
Thanks a lot. More videos are yet to come. Keep sharing and supporting.

Hello. I am glad I could be helpful. However I haven't simulated any case with gravity force included in simpleFoam solver.

Thanks your tutorial.
In the next video. Can you share how to generate structure mesh using Salome?
I am waiting forward to your new tutorial.
Hello. I am glad you found my video helpful. I will try to implement your suggestion in future videos. Keep sharing and supporting.

Hi. Yes it can be done. Use pimpleFoam solver.
What is the reynolds number in this flow case

It's dynamic viscosity of water, not kinematic.
It's a mistake in the video, right?
Hi my simulation is not beginning the time loop after following all of the inputs. Any idea of what I may be missing?

ruclips.net/video/glYguHLKRL0/видео.html can we implement the above using freecad/salome + openfoam ?
