Thanks for your nice video. I just want to mention that incompressible flow is not restricted to liquids, gasses can also have incompressible flow, when they flow isothermally (Adiabatic condition) at low velocity.
What a video, i liked how you take every opportunity to show different featured of openFoam using this simple case study, really helpful tutorial. wish you all the best and happy new year
This is a really great effort, thank you so much But honestly, It is really advanced for the first trials with Openfoam. I could not run the case, You are describing the details of the post-processing but escaping the details of how to run the case in details.
@49:14 the colors at the top left and top right seems to have switched because the orientation of the plane is modified (no idea about when it got modified). Clicking on -Z would orient the sliced-plane in correct manner(i.e., less pressure= blue on left top and higher pressure= red on right top)
Great tutorial Sir, I really appreciate your effort. you provide almost compete overview of Open-foam. Hope you make video on geometry creation in details. Thank you
With original geometry you should have a vortex at each bottom corner, might want to refine the streamline representation. Cavities help validate the convergence is accurate.
Hello, I am a master’s student trying to simulate the seismic wave behavior in the case of a cavitation layer in the ground at a depth of 2 meters. But I have a problem with inserting and programming the cavity part in the code using the Fortran program.
Hi Cyprien. When you change from the velocity U to the kinematic pressure p, I can't see the results in Paraview, but I am confident I did the tutorial right from the start until 45 minutes. Do you have an idea of what might be wrong with my system/software/simulation? I thank you in advance.
Hello, I don't see any answer on your problem, I have the same one and I was wondering if someone helped you to solve it and what was the solution, thank you !

hello first of all I would like to thank you for the video it was very useful for me however I have questions about the boundary conditions I can't quite understand how it works for example when we have a hydraustatic pressure or mixed boundary conditions etc how does it work?
is there a collection of tutorials for openfoam v12?. i am new with this and following tutorials that uses previous versions of openfoam confuses me because they have different location or maybe name in the tutorials file in the ubuntu file. i found a pdf file with a collection of tutorials but it uses previous version which I can't seem to find the type of tutorial they use. Thank you.

I wasted so much time asking help for others in my project-assistanship, where as you explained everything in one video. thank you so much 🙏
I was almost giving up on OpenFoam but this video saved me! Thank u

Great video explanation! I've watched several of your videos and each of them was useful for me. Thank you a lot!
Beautiful! So many knowledge packed with time marks in a single video!
Very helpful video, thank you so much! good pace and well explained!
nicely explained Sir....you efforts are inspirational
Can't wait for the next tutorial!
So glad this exists. thanks!!
Gorgeous! Thanks for your useful tutorial.
Thanks a lot, Cyprien. It was a breeze learning OpenFoam with you. Looking forward to more of your videos...
Thank you for making this tutorial Cyprien. This is great stuff, and having someone to follow is great introduction. Thank you.
Thank you very much for wonderful tutorial.

Thank you very much Sir for your fruitful lesson. Really enjoyed. I hope you will continue this journey.
I can only give one like, so big thank You!
Thank you so much, Cyprien !!!
Thank you, you are very good at explaining these things.
In 1:38:25 what do you mean by convergence??
Thank you so much Cyprien! You have made learning CFD so much more fun and understandable
thank you so much, i can finally understand this
Thank you for the video, i would like to know how to account for gravity in such an example?
Great tutorial. Thanks, like and new suscriber!
Thank you, Thanks this iI understand fuly the mode of working of the programm

Seriously man, thanks.
I wish I could see this video 2 years ago! Now that I understand Lid-Driven Cavity flow, my PhD time is running out :(.

when I'm doing high reynolds number case, my cavity gets all red! 1:50:27
and your max is 20, my max is 78!
whenever I reach my last delta T it all gets red, seems like my velocity is way higher than yours
you have very little part of white color inside your cavity, mine is full of white inside blue

I don't think there is one. You have to make use of older versions of the tutorial collection. Also, try installing the older version of the OpenFoam.

BlockMesh did'nt work in my terminal how to resolve it
you have to type blockMesh in the "cavity folder".
Avec la viscosité 0.01 ^(-2) m2s-1 il s'agit probablement du miel. Le rapport des viscosités dynamiques miel/eau est de l'ordre 10^4.
