What a video, i liked how you take every opportunity to show different featured of openFoam using this simple case study, really helpful tutorial. wish you all the best and happy new year
Great tutorial Sir, I really appreciate your effort. you provide almost compete overview of Open-foam. Hope you make video on geometry creation in details. Thank you
Thanks for your nice video. I just want to mention that incompressible flow is not restricted to liquids, gasses can also have incompressible flow, when they flow isothermally (Adiabatic condition) at low velocity.
I am using openfoam 12, an the file constan, existe a folder called poly mesh, and the file physicalProperties but acoording to your examples the file should be named as trasportproperties, is there any diferneces? or is becouse i am using a later version of opernfoam, or I am inside a diferente example of cavity? thank you
@49:14 the colors at the top left and top right seems to have switched because the orientation of the plane is modified (no idea about when it got modified). Clicking on -Z would orient the sliced-plane in correct manner(i.e., less pressure= blue on left top and higher pressure= red on right top)
This is a really great effort, thank you so much But honestly, It is really advanced for the first trials with Openfoam. I could not run the case, You are describing the details of the post-processing but escaping the details of how to run the case in details.
With original geometry you should have a vortex at each bottom corner, might want to refine the streamline representation. Cavities help validate the convergence is accurate.
Hello, I am a master’s student trying to simulate the seismic wave behavior in the case of a cavitation layer in the ground at a depth of 2 meters. But I have a problem with inserting and programming the cavity part in the code using the Fortran program.
Hi Cyprien. When you change from the velocity U to the kinematic pressure p, I can't see the results in Paraview, but I am confident I did the tutorial right from the start until 45 minutes. Do you have an idea of what might be wrong with my system/software/simulation? I thank you in advance.
is there a collection of tutorials for openfoam v12?. i am new with this and following tutorials that uses previous versions of openfoam confuses me because they have different location or maybe name in the tutorials file in the ubuntu file. i found a pdf file with a collection of tutorials but it uses previous version which I can't seem to find the type of tutorial they use. Thank you.
hello first of all I would like to thank you for the video it was very useful for me however I have questions about the boundary conditions I can't quite understand how it works for example when we have a hydraustatic pressure or mixed boundary conditions etc how does it work?
idk if you still need help but it basically means, that two values come closer to each other over time. this is important for cfd bc when the values do not converge, the calculation fluctuates and will create falls results/end in a floatin point or go infinitely long
hello thank you for this tutorial im rtying to run a 3D incompressible laminar case and after six iterations i have a divergence problem can you please help me solve this
hai, i am started to learn the openFOAM, I am following your videos and getting error while giving blockMesh command (Symbol Lockup error : libdecompositionmethods.so : undefined symbol :ZNK4Foam11regI0ObjectENS_.......like this). please solve my problem

I wasted so much time asking help for others in my project-assistanship, where as you explained everything in one video. thank you so much 🙏
I was almost giving up on OpenFoam but this video saved me! Thank u

These videos are so helpful!, Idk what i woud have done with openFOAM without videos like these, tysm ;)
I just started to CDF and your videos have been of great help to me. Thank you so much

Beautiful! So many knowledge packed with time marks in a single video!
Great video explanation! I've watched several of your videos and each of them was useful for me. Thank you a lot!
Thanks so much for covering this in detail with a great explanation
Thank you for making this tutorial Cyprien. This is great stuff, and having someone to follow is great introduction. Thank you.

Thanks a lot, Cyprien. It was a breeze learning OpenFoam with you. Looking forward to more of your videos...
Thank you very much Sir for your fruitful lesson. Really enjoyed. I hope you will continue this journey.
I am new here and great to see much more materials. Great teacher
A massive thanks for your work. Everything is just clinical.
Can't wait for the next tutorial!
So glad this exists. thanks!!
Thanks for your nice video.

nicely explained Sir....you efforts are inspirational

im also using 12 and there are a few differences to the older versions and yes it is cause they‘re older

Thank you very much for wonderful tutorial.
Thank you so much Cyprien! You have made learning CFD so much more fun and understandable
I can only give one like, so big thank You!
Thank you, you are very good at explaining these things.
Thank you so much, Cyprien !!!
It's a great explanation
thank you so much, i can finally understand this

Keep up the good work
Thank you for the video, i would like to know how to account for gravity in such an example?
Thanks. Great video.

great
Amazing presentation Cyprien! Request you to create one on cavitation in submerged bodies using interPhaseChangeFoan and Schnerr-Sauer model. Regards
Thank you, Thanks this iI understand fuly the mode of working of the programm
Perfect! Thank you!
Thanks a lot sir , very helpful

I wish I could see this video 2 years ago! Now that I understand Lid-Driven Cavity flow, my PhD time is running out :(.

I don't think there is one. You have to make use of older versions of the tutorial collection. Also, try installing the older version of the OpenFoam.
Great video

HI, I woul like to know if you know which companies use this software?
Please make video on DSMC method in OpenFOAM.
Sorry further in which link can be found? (Stress analysis of a plate with a hole)

hi dear sir, could you please make tutorials on using the pure Calculix that deals only with ( CGX & CCX)?
C'est trop bien!

sir, please make FEA tutorial for helical compression spring in salome meca
BlockMesh did'nt work in my terminal how to resolve it
you have to type blockMesh in the "cavity folder".
Avec la viscosité 0.01 ^(-2) m2s-1 il s'agit probablement du miel. Le rapport des viscosités dynamiques miel/eau est de l'ordre 10^4.
Indeed... this is just a test case!

hello sir
please
how i can add a function to the differential equation in openfoam, especially the scale function,
*like here :
fvm::ddt(T) - (1/(1+dfra(T)*Lat/(CP*eT)))*fvm::laplacian(DT, T)
==
fvOptions(T)
*for the continuous functions I managed to define them by this program in createFields.H
volScalarField dfra
(
IOobject
(
"dfra",
runTime.timeName(),
mesh
),
{
0.5-0*T
}
);
*but for the scale function i can't difinde (dfra(T))
*the function what i want add it is this:
int fraction(int n);
using namespace std;
double dfra (double a)
{
double r;
if(a>-0.5 && a
Here se are, with the cavity tutorial
Thanks
Sir, please make a simple steps that can easy to write in Excel :(
When I solve the lid driven cavity problem in ansys fluent then in results part..the screen appears black.. anyone plzz help to resolve this problem.
This is a video about OpenFoam, not Fluent…
@@Feaforall I am asking the solution of problem..if u know ..then tell me.
