New SPELAB Electric Exhaust Cutout Installation And Test
HTML-код
- Опубликовано: 5 авг 2024
- In this video I install the new 3" electric exhaust cutout on my 2011 ram 1500 with the 5.7 hemi engine. This Electric Exhaust Cutout System is specifically designed and made to enhance the performance, sound, and power of vehicles with the flip of the toggle switch. Instantly increases up to 20+ Horsepower. Designed to be conveniently welded onto anywhere from the cutout location from the header to the back of vehicles. The electrical appliance allows opening the cutout simply by flipping the switch and exhaust will be opened for a more direct exhaust flow, more power and desired loud rumble of the exhaust.

Nice man glad it worked on the overhead switches. Appreciate it. God bless
Thanks, and works great
Thanks for the review! Ordered some today!
Awesome
I went open headers on the Durango too I love that sound of raw power!!
Awesome 🤘
Big thanks to spelab auto parts for sending me this unit to test out. It definitely has some great quality features and awesome bang for the 💰👍
Thank you so much for the compare! Pretty cool. Glad to see what was wrong with the old too.
Thanks for stopping in
That's cool bro. Sounds awesome
Thanks man🤙
That setup works flawless 👌
Especially paired up with your overhead visor that is super sweet convenient! 😁🤟 nice job
Thanks, Definitely is nice bro 👍
Nice!! Buying one today
Sweet🤙 its definitely worth it
Sweet man, I got me a qtp e cutout coming, I got tired of climbing my big ass under the truck lol 😆
Hell yeah bro you will definitely enjoy it.
Nice!
Don’t see any cops….. push da button go loud for a few….. then quite back down & roll with it😉🤠😂 thx 4 D post!👌
The garage door thing was all SPELAB ? If so thats awesome! I might look into it.
Nice!
Thanks
How did you connect it to the garage door openers? I don’t think my remote sends the signal for long enough for the opener to read it
Are they still good?
Thanks a lot for the fantastic video! I was really wanting to purchase one of these but not going to spend the money on a qtp! You really help me with making the decision.
Glad I could help!
Your engine light on yes?
Has the cutout held up? I would like to get one but I live in Massachusetts where we get lots of rain and snow and road salt. Worried about the longevity
Works great no problems at all yet.
Frostbite sounds awesome!! What do you think about a super charger like you run for my srw ram 3500 6.4 hemi ? I know it’s a big and heavy I just love the sound. Thanks 🤘🍻
Powerwagon?
For low boost around 5psi or so would probably help alot for towing.
Canada! Place 2 be!! It’s a limited
Frostbite Ram Thanks for the info. I just have to figure out how to get the wife to believe we need it. Lol
How did you connect the cutouts to the overhead garage door opener? I have a dodge charger so I’d assume it’s not much different
Same way you do a garage door key
Having a issue love the part but does it have an adjustment on it it seems to open up just a little bit and sucks air and sounds like an exhaust leak
Check the hardware make sure it's tight
Will this fit on a challenger or only meant for trucks
Universal fits anything just pick your exhaust size and clamp it on or get it welded on at exhaust shop.
Can u partially open these? Or is it only fully close or fully open
That’s a good question!
I’m guessing a cheap set opens all the way or shuts all the way ….. pay for a higher price set you prob have more adjustable options!?
I have a friend with (700 plus HP!!) a Dodge Hellcat!
His exhaust cut outs are from the factory!
He’s got several exhaust settings!
Assuming the dampers are actually adjustable just like you are asking!👌👍🏽🙌🏽
Do I have to use the remote, or does this unit allow me to use a momentary toggle switch to open/close the valve?
You can use the remote or program to your garage key buttons also.
Thanks so much! I would rather not use the remote control, I have a momentary rocker switch in my 67 Camaro ready to open/close the valve. I guess this hardwiring to a switch is not possible since the valve has a wireless receiver for the remote?
How is the reliability on these. Is yours's still working well?
Working great no problems
how has it held up so far?
It's been great 👍
Voids all warrenty frosty?
Shouldn’t since it’s installed after the cats and before the muffler.
Just ordered these for my car, keep us updated on how they hold up!!! I definitely like that one touch feature and making it run to my garage buttons is really cool. Could you maybe out a video. Can you do a video on how exactly you programmed them? I would be interested to do the same with mine.
Awesome🤙definitely will try to.
How long do these take to arrive?
@@jschacko1234 It took a couple weeks i believe
@@FrostbiteRam how's it holding up?
@@ziggy760 perfect 👍
My question is when it is opened does that give the exhaust air both ways to go, through the muffler and not, how does the air go "oh it is open now lets only go through the cut out and not the muffler"
It will travel out both ways but mostly the cutout as air travels the path of least resistance but the point is to create less resistance in general.
@@FrostbiteRam THANK YOU
I have seen they also have a double valve, so the one to the muffler will be fully closed, when the cutout opens. But maybe that double system will malfunction more early.
Is it still installed? How’s it running?
Works great 👍
Going in an older car. Can I hard wire these? Like put it on a switch instead of cigarette lighter
Sure shouldn't be an issue at all
@@FrostbiteRam I was curious if anyone has done it because the company said no but I don't see why I couldn't cut the head off and hard wire it. But if that's the case I'll need to return them
@@kevinbutler5226 you could definitely cut the power plug off and wire it to a 12v switch and make it work my opinion.
@@FrostbiteRam thats what I was thinking because I've done it with other accessories with cigarette plugs. I guess they tell you that because it would probably void any warranty if you did. I can't wait to install them. Awesome truck man 👌
Hi.. How did you run the cords
Under seat thru floor under truck
I’m thinking same thing!
Old fox body mustangs have a power access under the drivers seat! (Fuel relay’s there too)
I have later model front seats. I plugged driver seat into that power access!
Prob put a fusible link on that & run power through floor to the cut out(s)! When I’m ready to install!
What are you stalling your truck to on the line at the track
Nothing I hammer it right off idle its faster that way as it flashes the converter better.
I'm just asking do you think if stall it a little so it will be in boost off the line
@@brianhoward9370 no it wouldn't build any boost without a trans brake and 2step
Ok i understand
What happened to your old cutout
Still have it but I upgraded to this new unit.
@@FrostbiteRam i just ordered a set off of amazon. Fingers crossed they arent junk
Why don't u download that. BDS. Under dash. Plug in. You can make it ideal. 40 ways. And sound like AC%DC. But becareful in that app. U can do some funky shit. KUSTOMBLACK SHOWS IT.
Messy wiring, hard wire it!
