I'm so happy to finally see a woman with micro locks actually retwisting their hair instead of the damn interlocking. Everyone's doing interlocking nowadays
I didn’t even know that retwisting was possible. I think this is the best way for me.
I hope this works for me too. I really want to do my own hair but interlocking is so tedious. Thank you for sharing your technique.
Thanks so much for this video. I'm currently 10 months into my micro loc journey and haven't seen a lot of people maintaining their micro locs with retwisting. Most are interlocking (which is also okay). I'm glad to see someone else doing it the same way as me with long beautiful locs.#hopeandgoals❤️
OMG I've been following you for years but hadn't seen you in a while & just amazed that you also have microlocs! I just started my microlocs journey last month after wanting to loc my hair since the 90s but being a commitmentphobe. Lol Your hair is gorgeous as usual!🙌🏽💜🙌🏽
Awesome! Thank yooouuu!!!
Thank you for this content featuring your beautiful locs. It gives me the confidence to stick to my decision to not retie. Im recently started my micro loc journey & I've been going back and forth with that decision. Beautiful job BTW.
Your hair is absolutely beautiful, and I love how your locs look so silky because of your texture😍. I also have 427 locs for 2.6 years now, and I have been retwisting my locs for a year and a half. It takes me 4 to 5 hours, but I love the appearance it's giving my locs. Beautiful content as always, keep it coming!
Makes me feel better to see other people successfully retwisting microlocs long term because I can't do this retie stuff.
I love that you’re retwisting them. I’ve been contemplating doing micro on this second journey. But I know I’m not about to do any reties.
My way is my way! Love it!
Alicia, your locs are absolutely beautiful. Thank you so much for sharing this detail video of your retwist routine. This is giving me the encouragement that I needed to start my own locs and maintain them myself.
yaaaaas! So excited for you!
I love it I do interlocking but your locs are beautiful and it was quicker twisting seems to have new growth faster
Wow!! Amazing!
This video came in perfect timing! I’m retwisting my micro locs too😍
Hope it turned out well!!!
1st baby!! Love your hair🥰 in the middle of a eerie myself!
YAAAAAAAS!!! Welcome Welcome and thank you for watchiiiing!
You’re hair so pretty!
Thank you so much!!!! ♥
ur locs are amazing but i have a question, i got instant locs and wanted to see if my locs would shrink after my basketball games, because i used to have 2 strand twist and after my games they would have shrunken a ton and i hated that, jus wanted to see what u thought!
Hi Alicia thanks for this video!! Do you still use the Lion locs locking gel? And do you still like it? Considering purchasing it for my hair, would love your review
I plan on maintaining my daughter’s small locs this way, so this video is very helpful ☺️! Thanks so much for sharing ❤️! Your locs are beautiful 😍!
You are so welcome!
Beautiful! I’m been following u for years!!! The link to the mirror is a mirror that’s around the neck- is that what u used?
yes ma'am. It is the exact one I purchased. :)
If you combine anymore could you do a video on house you do it? I thought the tiny tiny locs was for me 🥴🥴 but I want them a tad bigger now bc this take too long
LOL! I understand! If I decide to combine more, I will do a video for you!
If I started with braids at the root do you think I can still just retwist my microlocs? Love your content and hair!!
I don't see why not. I actually have some braid locs in the back of my head. ❤️
Hi Alicia! I've been really hesitant about doing micro locs, but I feel the micro locs would be better for my hair. It is so freaking thick, especially at the roots, and also very tightly coiled on the ends (no matter what I use to detangle my hair, including stretching my hair with mini plaits of twists for 3-4 days. Once I take the plaits and twists out, my roots and ends sweat out and become too thick and tangled after a few hours. So, it's easy for them to break off).
Another concern I had about getting micro locs, was that I thought I had to interlock or do the re-tie methods. And, I did not want to do that because I feel that would cause damage to my roots. However, it wasn't until just now when I found your channel that I realized I can instead do the twist method for micro locs. So, thanks for the information. It has helped me to make a decision. I am going to do micro locs but use the two-strand method. You just gained a new sub! 😊
How is the project going ? Did you install them ?
@@Dolokaa No. I just haven't had the time with work, 4 online classes (1 remote class is triple work weekly), plus motherly duties, etc. Anyway, hopefully when I go on a well-deserved week's vacation in December I can find the time to install them ( maybe 1 section per day).
Yay a retwisting microlocs video! My loctician only retwist microlocs and I don’t mind but I only saw the interlocking method on micros so I got worried 😅
I want to start retwisting my microlocs if I can't find a loctitian near me but I've always interlocked 😫 One of these days I will get more confident doing it on my own.
You can do it!!!!
its seems like in some areas the majority of your hair isn't locked yet. Do you have any assumptions as to why? your hair looks so healthy, Also where did you get the mirror that you used when you retwist the back of your head?
Yes, my hair is pretty fine and I have noticed that my hair is locking from the ends up. I am still only 1.5 years into my journey. Still pretty early. They have come a long way though! The link to the mirror was added into my description box for you. :) I appreciate you for watching and commenting!!!
Did you start your own micros using the twist method. I have 4c+ hair that always locks by itself no matter what I do. So, I am thinking of doing micros but not too keen on interlocking.
Cool mirror but a 3 way one works also and less complicated than something hanging around your neck 🤷🏾♀️. I use to see the back of my head when retightening my micro locs
Whatever works for you! Sounds great! :)
Where can I get a three way mirror?
Your locs look a little bigger. Have you combined more? How many locs do you have?
I don’t know if she’ll see/ respond to your comment but she has a video where she talks about combining her locs… and then another where she uncombined some of them (about 5 mths ago). She also has an updated loc count vid.
Not since my updated loc count video. :)
Thank yooouuuuu!
Why are you roots so long? Because it unravel after each retwist or is it your growth after 2 months between retwist?
Your channel need banner, do you want intro outro banner
