This has to do with their anti-piracy feature. NVIDIA took it upon themselves trying to be the police and did a terrible job at it. As result, the recording feature of Geforce Experience is broken. Sometimes it does work but then it randomly just stop recording. For example, you could be recording the game just fine but after awhile trying to record the same game again and it would start and stop immediately. Restarting the PC might fix the issue temporarily but it would eventually go right back to the same old issue.
I've just been trying to record a video for the MW2019 but it keeps telling me to disable HDR or it won't record I've never had this issue before so idk why now Nvidia need to there shit together
Glad I'm not the only one. Been searching for a solutiono for ages. Using the alienware ultrawide oled and hdr always on as well. Shadowplay would just not comply, even after closing a game, turn on instant replay then booting up a game, and it still turns off Instant Replay. Hopefully this fixes it ❤
It does for me, helps out when gaming (thats why this feature id used by people). But whenever I watch a video on full screen in discord it keeps turning off and on. So it's not the best solution, but works decent.
honestly I just changed the color settings in the change resolution settings in the nvidia control panel and now my shit works just fine. No need for a download of some other random software.
@@nloginov1915 I’ve recently learned that games that aren’t properly optimized by nvidia or games that aren’t on the list of games that nvidia can optimize, are the problem. I’m having this issue with dark and darker and have been messing around in the program settings for that game in particular. But for the general settings I just changed the resolution to the same one but not the native option.
@@kykon50 what was your fix =- im having the same issue in dark and darker - i can record and have recorded with shadowplay for YEARS ... i dont even have HDR on my pc... nor the ability to record with hdr.
@@MEATnPOTATO currently nothing. I had it fixed then dark and darker released on steam and now it’s not working. Whether I launch from steam or blacksmith
Dog thanks for actually at least putting some attention / explanation on this mf issue. I literally felt like I was the only person having this problem until now. I have an Elgato 4KX it literally is comparable to that if not just as good, and does GREAT JOB at having minimal impact compared to other softwares (Gecata) but just as explained in the video which was well done and the comments it is so randomly unreliable especially with “non-AAA” or big name games. Does anyone else have any solid alternatives besides just a capture card or another software that doesn’t have bloatware / background processes out-the-ass? (Like medal tv for exampleq) Yes I am aware of OBS and “it’s the best if you just know what your doin-“ just stop there, it’s ridiculous as hell with many things that should be minor and overly complicated in the user face has been dog shit since learning it four years ago. So any suggestions outside of those would be awesome to hear. (Sorry for mini rant just have thought I was only one with this random struggle)

Medal, Steel series, Streamable... All those suck. Nvidia is the only good tool for this but unfortunately they are bullshitting it's users with that turning off thing.

All you have to do is Hold down "Windows" key + "Alt" key + "B" and it will toggle it off for you!

This issue is quite the annoyance especially whenever it turns off randomly. Also what wallpaper is that? And is it on Wallpaper Engine?
uninstall it. Its crap. OBS is way better
