I love being a "weird fan who follows Tim whatever he does." I'm never disappointed.
Even his songs in Matilda touch the heart.
Greetings, fellow 'weird fan'! LOVE Tim Minchin, always!
I watch/listen to Tim Minchin when I'm feeling down and have no self worth. He has this strange power to make me feel good and temporarily ambitious. I'm having a vicenarian existential crisis and I feel like Tim, among other comedians, are really helping me out. Comedians like this are the real angels of this earth.
Thanks for your comment ☺️
He lifts our faith in the whole of humanity somehow.
Tim just becomes more valuable each year. Danny Clayton also seems like another wonderful Aussie. If only this quality of conversation was on TV .
I discovered Tim Minchin like, 3 weeks ago, and I'm now devouring whatever I can find. This was awesome.
Awesome interview of Tim. I love White wine in the sun, though I can never get through the song without tears filling up my eyes, and often tears end up rolling down my cheeks, as it resonates so much with me and my personal story with my daughter having family both in France and in the US. I would love to see Upright, and I hope I'll get to do that here in France soon. I often watch videos of Tim, I adore him, and I wish I could see him live someday. I got introduced to him by a friend with his song "5 poofs and 2 pianos" and that started my obsession.
I just rewatched his address at the university and it's obviously good but when you hear all of his achievements at the end it's astounding. And to think all he has achieved since doing that is crazy.
Echoing another comment…I listen to Tim every day, over and over again…I just like what he says, love his songs and find the overall effect bewitching, beguiling. I’m bloody besotted by the guy.
Watched Upright twice. Brilliant, just like Tim. ❤
I've just watched this interview for the second time, and between the first time and this time I watched and listened to hours and hours of Tim Minchin talking and singing and playing. It never changes: every time it is like excellent fresh water (or good wine sometimes). This sounds more cliche and less funny than salad, but this is simply true.
Such a 'real' conversation! Refreshing. Tim Minchin is gorgeous in so many ways. :)
Indeed. A man of extraordinary, multiple, and diverse talents and a fundamental goodness of heart. In terms of pulchritude, he is more attractive now than when he was younger. He plainly has been running and working out (great arms) for some time now.
I really love listening to this man
25:31 You have no idea how badly I've always wanted someone with such influence to say that.
Please listen to this man.
Love that idea. ' White wine in the sun' as the Aussie Christmas Carol.
Sure wish we got to see Larrakins.
I agree! Tim should be allowed to release his songs from it. Can this happen?
The music. I want to hear the music!
“My integrity is the only thing that will get me where I have to be” Joey Mabilisa - Upright
Tim, you said White Wine in the sun is too long. No man if you could add an addendum of another few minutes it would be even better…..magic
OK, I'm impressed -- an interview that roams all over the arts and show business and philosophy, and manages to include 42:08 a mention of p value.
*sigh* An intellectual heartthrob.

Is it solipsistic in here or is it just me?
His vocabulary is remarkable. It is rare that I have to look up the definition of a word used by a celebrity, but it has occurred with Tim.
@@seasonschange6553 I often look up Tim's words. I love that he doesn't dumb it down for people. I have learnt a lot from him.
What a great interviewer
