Part 2 please One way to interpret this movie is it's about an assassin who lost his mojo because he keeps fucking up and acts contrary to his rules He says you need to be patient in the beginning, then he falls asleep by accident He's done 10,000 hours, but his heart rate is still >100 when he sees the target; probably doesn't get it below 60 or at least David Fincher doesn't show us. He's panicking when he's running away in the vespa, but really no one's looking for him. Even the song they choose "I am human and I need to be loved just like everyone else does"; he's just a dude capable of fucking up like the rest of us
@@lucasgrey9794 True but he's also acting out of the character he's trying to sell us he is. He's supposed to be a master but he's hyperventilating. He's still a master, just lost his mojo.
@@Daveyd325I agree. He’s trying to sell us on his ideals of what it takes to do what he does. But some of the actions he takes are to the contrary. For instance, killing the one lady and making it look like an accident. And letting the tech guy live.
It was the 13 hours secret soldiers of Benghazi episode that buck said “looks like a duck, fuckin quacks like a duck.. there ducks around” and thennn he said “looks fishy, smells fishy, there’s fuckin fish around and it’s time to start bangin hammers” lmao I just rewatched that episode a few weeks ago but couldn’t remember which one it was that he said that, so I just went and checked lol. Also, that video has 1.2 million views now! Congrats!
“The American” with George Clooney had similar BREAKDOWNS of his character’s methodology. I really enjoyed both films for this direction of focus. alright alright alright
The American is underrated for sure, as long as you can get past the nonsensical gun crafting scenes. Definitely see what you mean though, both The American and The Killer are great vibe movies with fairly basic (and similar) stories, The Killer is just a better, more well-rounded movie overall imo.
For the car bomb thing It’s a reference to car bombs during the troubles from the 1960’s - 1980’s. It’s essentially just making a serious issue of the time something trivial like a jagerbomb.
I loved this movie. The comment I wish to make is that it is a common thing people think that just because you touch something you leave a print behind. I've taken a criminal forensic course before and of course it included 'dusting' for fingerprints. What we learned was that it is VERY possible to touch something and NOT leave a print behind. Our instructor said that if a person either has dry skin or their is no perspiration it will leave nothing behind. Typically though people will have some sort of fear of getting caught that tends to produce this perspiration and thus leave a print.
The second part will be hilarious. The sniper decides to go after one guy by clearing his house with a gun. And literally confronts the Ancient One inside a restaurant and somehow forces her to walk with him outside.
Great movie, awesome review! And I’m gonna need that banging hammers shirt! 😂😂😂 love the channel guys. I’m not gonna lie I stole the phrase “time to start banging hammers” at work. Awesome episode guys!
The funny thing about this movie is that the killer, despite ostentibly being super professional and skilled, fucks literally everything up, it's not even bad luck itself, the guy royally screws the pooch so many times that you actually wonder how he is still alive lol. Still, I enjoyed the movie, the original comic is better of course (the character in there is an actual professional who just has horrible luck) but the writing is just perfect, there is something about the aesthetics and the general mood that is just so captivating to me.
I’m a private investigator. The patience and focus it takes, the sitting and waiting is very similar to The Killer. 95% sitting and waiting with 5% action. Great movie 🤙🏻
All right, I am not saying that I believe you really read all those thousands of comments, but you motivated me. I share the excitement about the Killer with you absolutely (which is not always the case). I loved how slow it was, well thought, realistic, details covered. It is actually super cool to see your episode about it and learn some more details that were in, and I missed them (the eye drops, magazine tap) or that the production missed (I was also wondering about the gun in the airport bin), so thank you! Yes, please, do the second half, I am curious about your comments! It has been a while since I have seen the movie, I guess I am going to rewatch it so I am ready for the second half : )
Oh, please part 2. This movie is seriously awesome, and there are so many little details that are really cool. Hope to see more soon. Oh, and as I'm writing this, Buck said the thing about typing "1" if we've seen this far, so there it is.
I've had a few rifles that had problems feeding if you didn't tap the mag. I wouldn't have thought about that eyedrop thing but it makes sense add that next time I bring it out range. This has so much knowledge
Speaking of heartrate… I was at a normal regularly scheduled doctors appointment & while the nurse is checking my blood pressure I get a call from work which I had notified & took off from well in advance with guidance from a superior (nice new job)… when my phone rang my heartrate skyrocketed to where the nurse was like “ohhhh ok we’re not gonna use those numbers cuz the doc is gonna go ballistic so I’m just gonna put this which is in line with all the prior readings instead” like she heard the call, saw the stress & sweat, all from me apparently putting the appointment on the wrong calendar even tho I was walked thru it in person… still freaks me out a little bit. 😅
Great to see you back guys. I for one am becoming a little suspicious that Abel may have been playing us all for fools this whole time. Wouldn’t it be funny if the other guy on the show with the ex SF guys is actually a world class assassin being super covert 🤣
Seen this a few months ago and it immediately edged into my top 5 action movies. From an LE pov I so appreciated the subtlety, attention to detail, and realistic depiction. I especially loved the inner dialog...it added so much to the movie. Plus, and i may be aging myself, I love Morrissey (The Smiths). Can't wait for you guys to do the rest of this film!!!
The Smiths' soundtrack was a co-star itself. I don't know how they licensed that as those guys are totally dysfunctional these days but I'm glad they did.
I can’t believe I get to answering the “tapping the magazine question”!!! The reason solders tap the magazines is it significantly reduces misfeeds. If you skip this step the tips of the bullets can drag on the magazine thus reducing the effectiveness of the follower and spring which negatively affects how the ammo cycles.
Thanks for the video! Part two please. Before I looked at the thumbnail, I just read “The Killer” and for a split second I thought it was John Woo. Haha!!
I need a part 2! Also, I have this strange feeling that this movie was partially inspired by the Hitman video game series because there’s a couple of things in the film that look like they were taken straight from the game.
Yes. I used to Tap my mag when I was in the army. Brings back the memories. I try, not to reach for a beer. Trying to quit. Missed the team. Good show, given the reputation of the director. Cool review. Keep up the works guys :-)
Really enjoyed this review. Hadn’t heard of the movie before. Definitely going to look for it now. Would love to see a review of the 2nd half. I’ve been watching a bunch of your videos lately. Damn this movie is soo cool. It kept me glued from start to finish. Please y’all should do a part 2. It’d be awesome. Cheers all the way from Nigeria guys 🍻🍻
It was cool Buck explaining why they tap the mag on something. It's a habit for me , every time I get out a mag for a pistol or rifle I tap it on something. Sometimes I forget I'm not wearing a helmet and tap one on my head so that smarts a little
Part 2 needs to be made. BTW, Fassbender said in an interview that he used a one-hand-shooting stance with pistols because he did not want the guy to have a military background look, more self-taught.
I love both movies for different reasons. Not every movie needs to be super accurate. Cool fight scenes where the story actively moves forward....I'll watch every time.
My suggestion for a movie for you guys to watch would be Unknown soldier which is based in real events. Though I would suggest the newer 2017 version over the older ones.
I love those rare movies where an assasin does Yoga or Tai Chi or something - other examples being The Limits of Control and Samurai Dog, but those are a different genre. I also love the detailed look on the preparations involved in this sort of mission. Of course I would love you to cover part 2.

Thank you, Buck! I don’t like traveling, and it seems like everybody and their pet monkey looks at you funny if you don’t like it. It feels good to know we are not alone. :)
I always wondered why he waited and dumped the gun at the airport and the only thing I could think was he was keeping it until the last minute in case he got stopped and had to shoot his way out... But now I realize that's stupid and he had already changed and he should have been disassembling that thing as he went. Slide in a trash can, mag in a sewer, barrel in the river etc. Lol I just accepted that it must have been for a purpose I didn't understand because the rest of the movie was so solid. Also, the duck thing is so funny. My mother has a Wrangler and she LOVES the duck stuff. She gets so happy when she finds one on her door handle and she keeps them all and calls me and tells me about them 😂
Dude, I've wondered that for the longest time, why people tap mags on their helmet or somewhere. I thought it was just a practice by soldiers in the second world war. Tried to look it up and couldn't find anything. Thanks for explaining man!
