Are you trying to tell me that you've never had an ice cream, with the mixed flavours of Orange, Bubblegum, and Blueberry ?!?!?!?! I didn't even think of that, I should have changed it to a nice neapolitan: Pink, Yellow and Brown. And now you've brought it to my attention, I think I'm going to have to !!! Thanks for commenting.
@@needfoolthings Well, England may no longer be in the EU, but we are still in Europe, and I have many memories of eating Strawberry, Vanilla and Chocolate ice cream, from a long block, in a cardboard packet, as a child in the 80's ! (my channel is still small enough for me to be able to reply to all my comments, it's normally between 2 and 10 a day, so still manageable, and it's nice to engage with people who've watched)
This is GREAT Jez! Absolutely perfect, well done. (The modified flower bed at the back is wrong way tho, hehe..). Now I´ll go straight down to one of my toystores nearby and buy a copy of this and do similar to your modification! Keep up the good work! Cheers from Bergen/Norway.
Yes, I spotted that I had built the flower bed backwards, when I was editing, but thought it was too late to do anything about it... I did wonder if anyone would spot it though, so well done... you win the prize!!!! Have fun with the set!
Not offended at all ! I’m impressed that you spotted it! You won the prize for the first to spot it, one other person has spotted it so far. I wonder how many will notice it in total ?!?!?!
Good job on this charming set. Got two of these on sale, going to modify one of them just as you did but with 3by3 light blue windows cause i don’t find them in white at my local Pick’n Brick Lego store here in France. Or even by 6x6 windows if the result is OK. Anyway Thanks for your always good inspiration !
Thank you for your kind words. I’m currently in your country visiting Disneyland Paris, so I will definitely be visiting the Pick’a’brixk wall in the Disney Village Lego Shop, while I’m here.
Okay, that's a nice posssibility to modify this pretty ice cream shop. But why didn't you expand or move the sitting space (on the dark tan plate)? In my opinion that sitting space is to close to the entrance of the shop, it could be also around the corner, where the greenings were before. I know, it wouldn't fit on that baseplate, you added. But it would be a much nicer place to enjoy the ice creams there then. And the left side of the shop could also be expanded with an extra room for the workers for preparing (for example fruits or something else). And maybe the backyard of the shop could also be used as outdoor sitting space (maybe with parasols or something like that).
Those are all really great improvement suggestions. For this MOD I just wanted to enclose the shop, without having expand it greatly, so that it still would fit on 16x32 MILS plate. I also try to make my MODS as simple as possible so that others can do them without having to get a LOT of extra parts. The greenery area is round the back of the shop, in my mind you wouldn't get customers back there, it would just be a staff entrance, so there was no other real space for the table, except on the pavement in front!!!! When I build my Lego city and add this in, I'll work on it some more. Thanks for commenting.
@@MinifigJez Yeah, I got this. That were literally my thoughts, which came up while watching your video. I've got this ice cream shop, too and when it's time, I will modify and expand mine, too. Yes, definitely. The only trouble is that then it would have to go on a 32x32 base, and that's 16 studs of precious space being used up. When I eventually build the Lego city and this gets placed, I will have to revisit it, and decide what goes on the left-hand side of it, as if it's just a regular modular building, that beautiful curved window will be hidden. One solution would be to enlarge the shop by 8 studs, and then have 8 studs pavement down the left side... but that's a much bigger MOD for another time!!!! Thanks for commenting,.
@@MinifigJez Yes. I agree on all counts. Thank you for your kind reply. Perhaps make it fit as a straight storefront, and keep the window shaping on either side? There are so very many corner buildings as it is. They’re quite dynamic tho, so I completely understand.
