@Peacekeepa317 it was a freed slave community that was thriving 🙌 they terrorized and tortured the freed people there killed them burn down the homes and businesses. Then turned it into a recreational lake. EVIL JUST EVIL.
My parents served 30 years in the United States Air Force and when we lived in Guam these snails lived around us - We would take salt and pour it on it and they would die.
Some garlic, lemon grass, fresh dice chili, salt, fish sauce, ginger. Bring to light boil with lid on for about 12 mins. That should kill any parasites and you got yourself a meal.
The first question I ask when this happens is if the species is edible. If it is then unlimited harvest will help a lot. Asian carp are edible for example.
During the late 1800’s Alma, Michigan was home to wealthy lumber families. One loved to eat the large French snails and brought them into the local river. Now there are many snails within easy reach. They appear to be the same kind in our river as in Georgia, and no one thinks anything about them. Perhaps Georgia could eat the snails into extinction.
They said in the video they are full of parasites, so not a good idea to eat them. Snails get inedible tough if they are overcooked, and heat doesn’t always kill all parasites, especially when you can’t cook something very long.
Witchcraft is actually a harmless legitimate nature based religion strongly resembling Native American beliefs. In modern days it's called Wicca. Look it up.
People wanted all these things from other countries that don't belong here and now this is what happens . If people want to see something from another country go see it and leave it were it belongs !
I didn't hear China being blamed. The guy just said Asia is their country of origin, and someone more than likely had them as a pet. Ignorant people let all kinds of creatures loose once they either get too big, or they tire of them.
The blue bunch would want to shut down the lake from all forms of recreation and spend millions of tax payers money to study the lake snail ecology. Nah, vote red.

Invasive species in an invasive lake. Lol
Should not have made a lake where freed slaves lived and thrived. It should be banned from use as a recreational lake.😢
You brought these?
Thank you for sharing 🌹
I can’t believe they are in it 😢 those snails multiply swiftly 😮
Facts
@juandoe5651 no I did not but maybe my departed Ancestors😪
Googled it. They are edible and are eaten... So cook them good and chow down

More thoughtless aquarists releasing their unwanted overstock into the wild is my guess.
The old threat is a wrinkly no neck alien

Those snails have been in abundance in Lake Seminole in SW GA for at least a couple of years.

That isn't always true. Pheasant originally came from Asia and are very successfully stocked for hunting.
Not new threat…new food on the menu.
Tastes like clams! Via escargot.
They are in Clarks Hill.
If it's known they come from China where's the mystery?
Still not as dangerous as the labor day boat captains
Crazy!!!!
the old prayer service
but, what religion? Snails are unclean to Jews and many christians won't touch them because of that.
Hahaha! Maybe they'll go away. Pray on it!
See this regularly in werlands and small lakes in mi
Looks like the CCP has found a replacement for Confucius clubs.
🤔 imagine how many of these 🐌 snails are in homes 🏡 that flooded after 🌀 TS Debby...
That's good eating
If they're in Georgia that means Florida has them to?
I just saw a video about invasive "apple snails" in Louisiana. What's going on 😮
They are strategically placed long time ago to do exactly what they've been doing
Lake west point got lots of them, I catch them on my line 🤷🏽♂️
First it was sewage and bad water in the chattahoochee which is also the city's drinking water now this. Whats next
They're apparently edible. Eat up!
Stay out of that water
Just add butter😂
First add salt?

@@patriciaroane4913he did say China who bought the snails in the United States in the 1800s.
@thuythanhnguyen8888 if they BROUGHT THEM, then it's THEIR FAULT. Maybe they should stop eating everyfockingthing.
@@Ubotheredif it moves, a chinaman will eat it.
