My video is from the last week of December ❄ Right now, outskirts of Almaty got the heavy snowfall. Please wear appropriate clothing 🙏 😀 Have a wonderful journey!
Hi, I have a flight from Delhi to London in January 2023 with Air Astana having one layover of 4.5 hours at Almaty & 2 hours technical stopover in Aktau. Do I need transit visa? Pls guide brother.
The visa-free regime for citizens of these countries is valid unilaterally. According to the new regulations, citizens of India, Iran and China can enter Kazakhstan without a visa for up to 14 calendar days from the moment of crossing the border for business, private and tourist purposes.
Hello Siva, Rs 3000/day is enough for food and city transportation. All major sites are free to visit. Nightclubs and Restaurants are also not expensive.
Hey Ya! 😁... 3 layer of clothing on top, Thermal - sweater - jacket which works till -20 degree 2 layer of clothing in bottom - Thermal - Solid jeans. I wasn't prepared for this much heavy snow so footwear was not upto the mark. I will recommend you to buy hiking/trekking shoes. Also, buy gloves and cap else your hands and ears get freeze after 10-15 minutes. Happy Winter 😊 !
If you don't wear a hat on a cool day,you can get a headache in Kazakhstan-meningitis.Meningitis is one of the most dangerous diseases caused by a cold.He is well aware of the disease by local people!
As I have explained in this video, yes, Indians need a transit visa which is valid for 96 hours. The transit is free, but if you are flying with Kazakh Airlines, then a pre-arrival form needs to be filled out at Indian airports, and your visa will be ready at Almaty. And, just in case you forget to fill that form then you can do that at Almaty Airport as well. Happy flying!
1. If you're not leaving the airport, a transit visa isn't necessary. 2. However, if you plan to venture out for a few hours, consider pre-applying at the departure time for Kazakhstan's local airlines, such as AirAstana. 3. If you're flying with a non-local airline, approach the immigration counter to inquire about a free transit or visa on arrival by presenting your onward flight details.
Hi sir, me and friends have planned to tour Almaty coming feb. Is it ok to go ourself without any guide or do you feel a guide from India is necessary to tackle language issues?.Have a good day!
You don't need a guide. Install the language pack in Google translate App before going, take a SIM card at Airport and everything will be sorted. Happy Journey!
Hello Shanshak, nice video mate. Does the airport have anything to put your luggage in for a day? Also, do you find a layover for 10 hours worthwhile from London to roam around. Thank u
Not sure about Locker facility. Move out from Airport for 5 hours as there is nothing inside and you will meet and greet with the people of Almaty. Convert $50 at Airport, that will be more than enough for 5 hours.
I opt for Hawa Bus, It was the most affordable way. 20 Lira per person. It will drop you directly at Taksim Square. Train and Trams are not available at New Istanbul Airport right now. Taxi guys was asking 500-600 Lira for Taksim(40KMs) 🤑
Hi jiii should we need to get any pre approval to avail transit visa ?? or just booking ticket is enough. am indian national planning to fly from dubai via astana fligh. please guide me

Hey..I'll be visiting your country in the last week of November. I'm from Mumbai, India. Do you think that would be ideal time to do trekking and other adventure activities?
@@nocturnalanimal79November is cold but can be snowless. You can already ski at Shymbulak and ice skate at the Medeo in Almaty. If you go to Astana, please wear warm clothes. Because Astana is much colder than Almaty. It can be -30, -40 C in Astana because it is in the north. P/s. Regarding trekking. If you are lucky, Almaty can be quite warm in November (I looked at the forecast. It is going to be around +9 C -day, -4 C night). At least in my opinion, as a local, it is a warm weather😅 For you it might be considered chilly or cold though.
Buddy u know it's winter abd and cold and u r walking without winter clothes. Imagine me coming to India and wear the fur coat during hot summer season. And also do not walk on the road shouldn't - it's dangerous. Roads are slippery, drivers might be distracted, breaks might be malfunctioning even though u as a pedestrian have the right to walk through the zebra (pedestrian crosswalk) it's still very dangerous. There are sidewalks everywhere in Kazakhstan.
Hello Timur, Thanks for watching and caring. I was wearing 3 layers of clothing... Thermal wear, a sweater, and then an Armani jacket which works at -15 degrees. 😄 I wasn't walking on the roads, I was trying to take a taxi to the hotel and yes I used the sidewalks all the time. Hope I will not repeat the same mistakes in my next visit to Almaty or Kazakhstan🫠.
So u went in there with no plan, no research, bumbled around all day, and now want us to watch u incompetently stumbling from one place to another? Cool
@@ShanshankSharma and walking around in the snow aimlessly, and then taking random buses for warmth, all that is content that u thought will be helpful to others? Anyway, I made the mistake of watching your vid in the hopes of finding out what to do there. Waste of time
Helpful? Its my travel vlog, and I have not mentioned anywhere watch "Almaty Travel Guide". If you have seen the video then in the beginning, I have mentioned that I booked it just 1-2 days ago as my another flight to Istanbul was canceled. And, this travel experience people really need to watch, to understand that if they don't have a internet in this city then it will be very hard to find the address of your Hotel. Snow was making it difficult to roam around but I really enjoyed my 24 hours in Almaty. Cheers!

is still winter in Almaty in the end of November?
Not as harsh as it looks in this video, but yes, it will be winter at the end of November in Almaty.
