Caffe Calabria in North Park has the absolute best coffee I've ever had in my life. Also try Cafe Virtuoso in Barrio Logan. Lani Coffee off of 1st and Market is my Hawaiian coffee go-to spot. And glad you mentioned Bird Rock cause I luuuuuuvvvv their coffee. I go to the one in Little Italy.
Jay I absolutely love how passionate you are about great food. Your reviews are spot on and you can bet that your subscribers watching these videos are wishing they were by your side helping you eat!! All your San Diego vlogs just confirm why I want to go there on vacation. Cheers!
I just tried Jaunt Coffee Roasters yesterday! That place is legit! I'm actually on a mission to try as many local coffee spots in San Diego and my top 3 so far are Cafe Moto, Better Buzz Coffee, and James Coffee Co. Awesome video! 🤙
Love the video thank you for this one Jaycation. Part. 2 Copa Vida by Petco Park. I would love you to do either best cookie in SD or bakery shops. Solid list on the coffee shops can’t wait to try some of your suggestions.
Lofty Coffee is a third wave coffee shop that has the best Nitro cold brew I've had in my life. Their espresso drinks are also exceptional - they clean their grinder each day and they use Modbar as their espresso machine. Should definitely give that place a try as well!
Another great video Jay. U gotta try Seven Seas Coffee. They are an awesome local company & always helping the community in a lot ways. Keep them videos coming. 👍🏽☕️☕️☕️
Yes, do a part 2! Can’t wait to try some new coffee spots. So funny I was planning to try Jaunt because I had stopped by Caked on Friday late afternoon when Jaunt was closed.
Some solid choices here! There's so many good options in SD. If you get a chance check out some others that are also excellent and could easily be part of this video: Achilles (few locations, downtown area basically), Por Vida in Barrio Logan, James Coffee in Little Italy, Modern Times brewery/cafe, Steady State roasting in Carlsbad, Revolution Roasters in Oceanside. Really there's too many good choices...
I've been exploring craft coffee in san diego over a decade now. Lots of great places! But Coffee Cycle on grand ave. Is hands down the best for consistency and quality. Never been disappointed from a cup there. Great video!
Ayyy, Love Mostra Coffee! Also, if there's a part two, definitely check out Sleeping Tiger Coffees, Steady State Coffee, Lofty Coffee, and Ironsmith Coffee. They're all in North County SD in the Carlsbad/Encinitas area. Great stuff!
Cool list but there are more amazing coffee spots, James, Dark Horse, Public Square in La Mesa, Holsem in North Park, Pappalecco, Coffee & Tea Collective, Scrimshaw Coffee, Twiggs, etc… Please do a part two….
ohh yeah you got that right! Shout out to the Musgrove Family! Funny i finished filming this video the DAY he threw the No Hitter. You best believe he'll be in Part II!
Been watching your videos a bunch as I’m considering moving to SD homie. If you want some lofi beats for your videos, I’ve got a whole catalog for you!
No Café Calabria in North Park?! Yeah, you might need a part 2 vid. They have the best tasting coffee I have ever tried. Real coffee too! Not a honey ginger lavender orange blossom whatever type drink. Perhaps that’s why it’s not included? 😜 That also have amazing real Italian style stone oven pizza!
I’m not sure if anyone has heard of it, but I LOVE Local Krave! I used to live by the Point Lona location. Hazelnut Kraveman, I think you gotta try it out at least
I've been to every Cafe here except for Jaunt, and I'll be going there for sure now. They are all truely great coffee shops. The only ones I'd recommend for part two😉 is Cafe Calabria and my neighborhood shop BayPark Coffee.
You should go to Dark Horse! they have a few locations, but i always hit up the North Park one. If you go on the earlier side - get their vegan doughnuts they are SO good and the flavors change everyday
Jay, love your channel...keep up the great work! I have to give a shout out to my local, Communal Coffee in North Park and South Park/Burlingame. Check them out when can; the sweet mint cold brew is amazing!
Does the Mostra at 4s Ranch still sell those longanisa sandwiches ? I really want to go out and try the place but I probably won’t go all the way to Rancho Bernardo unless they have them available there still lol
@@Jaycation omg you actually replied!! Yes please do part 2 we are all looking forward to it. Thank you for these great series in SD it's helpful for someone who just moved down here like me :)
I'm not surprised at all, Better Buzz is DISGUSTING. Every single thing I've ever ordered there just tastes like chemicals -- I can't ever even taste the coffee!!!
I guess a well pulled and perfectly timed espresso doesn't factor in with the kids anymore. Nothing like that explosion of flavors and subtleties on the tongue....might take only a few seconds to drink but among espresso friends can elicit hours long conversations about everything. I'm old skool that way.
I LIKE MY FANCY COOFEE DRINK SERVE IN A REAL CUP ITS A SHAME NOT MUCH COOFEE SHOP DOES IT ANYMORE ! COOFEE SHOP SHOULD HAVE A DELICIOUS PASTRY COMES WITH COOFEE DRINK ! THAT UST ME !!!
Do a part II. 👍 Fun.
i have a feeling i will!

Nice! Part 2 definitely down the line 👍🏾
Jay I absolutely love how passionate you are about great food. Your reviews are spot on and you can bet that your subscribers watching these videos are wishing they were by your side helping you eat!! All your San Diego vlogs just confirm why I want to go there on vacation. Cheers!
Moniker in Liberty Station is dope. I usually have meetings there with my clients.
Same here! Love Moniker. I have plans for a video there
I just tried Jaunt Coffee Roasters yesterday! That place is legit! I'm actually on a mission to try as many local coffee spots in San Diego and my top 3 so far are Cafe Moto, Better Buzz Coffee, and James Coffee Co.

Lofty Coffee is a third wave coffee shop that has the best Nitro cold brew I've had in my life. Their espresso drinks are also exceptional - they clean their grinder each day and they use Modbar as their espresso machine. Should definitely give that place a try as well!
Cool! Someone mentioned Lofty to me the other day!

Love the colab with the San Diego breweries. I love breweries and we have a great variety here in Minneapolis so a natural with coffee.
Love those collabs as well!
So happy to meet you both!!!! Hope to see you around town soon!!!!!!!
Kings Craft in Poway is super super good! Their chai lattes are the best! We need a part 2, but maybe focused on Northern San Diego!
Thanks for mentioning Kings Craft! Ill keep it in mind for sure
Nice! This video is what I’ve been waiting for....can’t wait to go try out those coffee places in SD! I love me a good cafecito. ☕️
Nice! Glad you've been waiting for it! Was happy to film this...
You should check out Rob's brew point in El Cajon. Great Video I can't wait to try these places!!!
Thanks! Ill list Robs for when i do an el cajon vid!
This looks soo good. I like the slow motion video. Awesome job. Keep up the great work. 🤠🌼🍀🌸
thanks kissy cat! I tried to make this video look extra smooth!
Jaunt is 100% my favorite one. Their empanadas are delicious as well.
Love Jaunt and their Empanadas! So amazing!
Jaunt gets their empanadas from Empanada Kitchen. This place has two locations, one in North Park and one in downtown. Great empanadas!
Trident coffee in I.B is phenomenal if you like cold brew
cold brew is cool! IB is awesome, ill have to check it out
Part 2 would be awesome !!! We love Copa Vida and Forum.
Yes, a part @ for downtown coffee shops !
I've been exploring craft coffee in san diego over a decade now. Lots of great places! But Coffee Cycle on grand ave. Is hands down the best for consistency and quality. Never been disappointed from a cup there. Great video!
Chris and everyone at coffee cycle are AWESOME people!
Tried the iced ube latte with 2 expresso shots today at Mostra! Thanks for the tip. Delicious!
Love Mostra! Thanks for these recs! Part II coming sometime in the near future!
Ironsmith for sure! Love their honey flat white.
yeah part 2 please!
Definitely at some point!
home coffee is definitely one to check out, such a hole in the wall location!
Thanks for the rec Ethan!
Cool list but there are more amazing coffee spots, James, Dark Horse, Public Square in La Mesa, Holsem in North Park, Pappalecco, Coffee & Tea Collective, Scrimshaw Coffee, Twiggs, etc… Please do a part two….
Please try Coffee Corner in Santee and Better Buzz with multiple locations!
Cafe Adesso is kinda the place to go right now if you are a local and following what's going on in San Diego.
ohh yeah you got that right! Shout out to the Musgrove Family! Funny i finished filming this video the DAY he threw the No Hitter. You best believe he'll be in Part II!
Wow. Surprised Virtuoso isnt on here or Cafe Moto.
Can only do so many. Def will take into acct in the next one
Been watching your videos a bunch as I’m considering moving to SD homie. If you want some lofi beats for your videos, I’ve got a whole catalog for you!
Nice Mike! Do u have a website? Have a great move to SD!

Cafe Moto in Barrio Logan. Go Deh!
FA SHO! Thanks Danny!
I’m a cold brew guy and by far Cafe moto has the best cold brew
Have you checked out Cafe Adesso in Alpine where you can get the #44 Joe Musgrove or Cafe Mudd? (Mark Grant)
I literally finished filming this video right before the no hitter... i almost went on saturday but said ill just feature them in part 2! haha
I've been to every Cafe here except for Jaunt, and I'll be going there for sure now. They are all truely great coffee shops.
The only ones I'd recommend for part two😉 is Cafe Calabria and my neighborhood shop BayPark Coffee.
Nice hope u get to try Jaunt!
Really liked this episode. If you do a part 2, you ought to go south of downtown. And to continue with beverages, do one on Boba.
Thanks! I love boba too
LOVE COFFEE...DEF heading to ALL these places! Need a part 2 ...I'm just saying =)
NICE! Yes gotta check them all out... part 2 in the works!
Bird Rock that is going to be my new place muah 💋💋
Nice! Glad u found a new spot!
I know it's a little out of the way, but in tribute to Joe Musgrove, should try out Caffe Adesso!
Definitely in the plans! I literally finished filming this video the day the no hitter happened 🤣
Part 2 yes!! Visit Por Vida ☕️
Good to see local coffee places there, besides Starbucks. And yeah, you should definitely do a part 2 for this video.

Thanks Mike! Shout out to u!
Part 2 has to have Cafe Moto
Not only is their coffee bomb but their tea as well. The earl grey is hands down the best earl grey I have ever had.
Nice! Quite a few people have recommended Cafe Moto. Will check it out!
Looks tasty!
You can't forget James Coffee on India Street when considering the best in SD.
almost made the cut. but they're doing well as it is. Def will be in part 2
Love that location!
You should go to Dark Horse! they have a few locations, but i always hit up the North Park one. If you go on the earlier side - get their vegan doughnuts they are SO good and the flavors change everyday
Nice ive gotten a couple recs for Dark Horse! Thanks

I’m surprised that Better Buzz did not make the list 😢. There lavender latte is on point!!
I like better buzz maybe itll make it onto part 2!
@@Jaycation omg you actually replied!! Yes please do part 2 we are all looking forward to it. Thank you for these great series in SD it's helpful for someone who just moved down here like me :)

@@sakinah777 So true. Crappy coffee but cool coffee
mugs or cups they have both.
Not a single Dark Horse? I am also not ok with Tired Eyes Coffee in Downtown not being on this list? It's number one.
Mm Monstra... walk there all the time.
Part 2!!!!
Will do!
GOT TO TRY MOSTRA COOFEE < LETS SEE IF CN EVEN COMPARE TO THE PHILIPPINES! BECAUSE PHILIPPINES I COOFEE S ONE OF THE BEST
Where was dark horse?
Edit: I see others recommended already :P
My friends and family live in San Diego (Rancho Bernardo), but all your recommendations are too far south for us to reasonably visit.
hi there i love coffee even in san diego
so what's your favorite coffee in san diego?
tori
All these spots are my fav! 💯
Cafe Motto Brother!
You should do your top breweries in San Diego!!
Would love to eventually!

James almost made the list def next vid!
Im going to list this down!
Sham on you for not mentioning Mostra Coffee original location in Carmel Mt.
First!
U DA BEST MUSIC
Most of these are in the burbs. The only exception would be Portal. Heartworks in Mission Hills is better than all of these.
I LIKE MY FANCY COOFEE DRINK SERVE IN A REAL CUP ITS A SHAME NOT MUCH COOFEE SHOP DOES IT ANYMORE ! COOFEE SHOP SHOULD HAVE A DELICIOUS PASTRY COMES WITH COOFEE DRINK ! THAT UST ME !!!
The so-called cold coffees are not coffees
